Viv came out of the shower displaying his broad muscular chest and thin legs with just a towel wrapped around his waist. And another towel in his hands wiping his wet hair. Water drops slid from his neck to the chest painting a sexy picture.
Walking to Ira, he handed her the towel to ask her to wipe his hair for him.
Ira was sitting on the bed with an inconspicuous stare at the wall.
"What happened? Is something uncomfortable?" She was holding her stomach with a distressed look on her face.
She took his hand and placing it on her tummy. She just stared at his face.
Pressing her stomach with his hands her eyes fixed on his.
Puzzled over her actions Viv was lead on by Ira.
Soon she found a foolish comical smile on his face replacing the confusion his black eyes lit like fireworks.
He stroke her belly a bit and laughed. "Was that our babies? I felt it."
"Is that a kick?"
"I felt some flutters this week like popcorns popping out. I knew it was not gas, but I felt the kick for the first time a moment ago." she said, placing a hand on her lips in awe.
Laying her on the bed, Viv exposed her tummy to feel it skin to skin. Kissing it, Touching it lovingly, he waited for a while, but there were no more.
"Hey, kids I know you are in there?" Viv exclaimed in glee. With joy was some anxiousness.
"Does it hurt?" he asked.
"No, of course not." She smiled a foolishly too.
Ira buried his head in his chest and breathed in the refreshing smell of his body. She leaned on his chest listening to his heartbeat, which stabilized his emotions, made her feel relaxed.
"Ira you gave me the best anniversary gift," Viv whispered inner ear.
The baby kick indicated that there was a life inside — a healthy kicking baby who is developing well.
A playful kick reminding her that she is never alone.
She rolled from the bed, picked up the towel that was on the ground and a hair dryer from the drawer, she reached out to dry his hair. His hair was still wet. Sleeping with wet hair in this cold weather would easily make him sick.
It has also become an everday habit to help Viv dry his hair. He loved her hands brushing his hair.
Viv sat on the ground while she was sitting on the edge of the bed.
Her delicate fingers were combing his black hair. He still had the smell of shower gel. When they were dry, she pressed the tip of her nose in his air, inhaling the scent. Leaning and placing her head on his shoulders she said softly:
"Viv, I like you" Brushing his hair he added "I like you more with each passing day, every day is more than a day before. I don't know if this is love, but I don't want to separate from you. I want to hold you firmly in my life. I am scared of losing you."
Finally, she said her thoughts out loud. When Viv confessed his love for her, she eagerly wanted to reply 'Me Too' but having missed that simple opportunity she didn't dare to say it.
Love You.
She still hasn't said that directly to him. For Ira to express love is a huge challenge. But she Loves him that is a fact expressed from just her loving gaze. Whenever she looks at him and smiles, that's an expression of love... Isn't it?
