Jiang Yuning looked at her with his wide eyes and innocent gaze. "You won't understand even if I tell you. You will understand when you have a boyfriend."
He lowered his head and focused on searching for the computer chip again; what he really wanted to do though was get back to his room to help do Nian Xi's laundry.
"I know." He Xin looked at his defined features and gorgeous profile; she wished time would stand still forever.
She thought that if she had stayed beside him quietly and supportively, the two of them would eventually end up together. They had so many things going for them: encouragement from their families, similar professions, endless common interests.
"Even if you have a girlfriend, you still need friends..."
"I can," Jiang Yuning replied without glancing up. "I never had friends before anyway; I think I'm quite all right with this arrangement."
"And I'm not your friend?" He Xin was crestfallen.
