Chereads / Hobie's Death System / Chapter 5 - Taking Over

Chapter 5 - Taking Over

"Time to get serious!"

"System, show me as much as you can regarding this island"

[Current the range limit is half an island and we are at the edge meaning that if we attack we won't miss much of the population]

Hobie was now smart and had become responsible all thanks of the Knowledge of Kings that embued his thinking into a more civilized way. Examining the map, he truly was at the edge of the island and had only touched the weak part of the island where his army could easily take over without much issue at all.

Although Hobie's strength increases with how many ghouls he has in his army, the strength of his army would then actually need a higher Power Level creature for its strength to increase.

His first goal was to get his army to be big enough that his strength would easily reach the thousands. Going for quantity was better than quality since the number of ghouls Hobie was in his army signifies how strong he would be so having 10 Power Level: 1 creature were better than a 1 Power Level: 15 creature. Although his army would be weak it doesn't matter since, in the end, he would be the one to determine if he would get the 1M Death Coins is himself.

The nearest kingdom to Hobie right now was Graath Kingdom which was twice as large as both the previous kingdoms combined along with guards that have a Power Level: 200 and above. This wasn't going to be as easy as before as he needed to strategize his attack.

Hobie would have a lot of time to strategize as even though this is the nearest kingdom it is a year away in distance if Hobie utilized his entire army without stopping. Since they are Ghouls and are already dead, moving day in and day out was no problem rather the attack on Graath Kingdom would be the difficult part.

On the way to Graath Kingdom, using his army he attacked creatures with higher Power Level so they could stand a chance against the sieging Graath Kingdom. The number of his original army dwindled to an insignificant amount but the payoff was too much. He managed to get thousands of creatures with Power Level: 120-252, this involved gigantic ants, birds the size of a building and creatures that can dig underground. In the end, although his original army suffered quite a major amount the final amount of Ghouls he had in his army were stronger, fiercer, deadlier, faster and more than his previous army a year ago.

[User has now 613,500 Death Coins]

"How much is this compared to the next landform?"

[It is sufficient to live as a normal human there but in a continent, this amount is what you will spend in order to get strong enough to fight their ants and stall them for a single second]

"Tsk! So if I die right now much many Death Coins will I get?"

[Roughly... 100,000 Death Coins]

"Then why don't I just die right now? I mean this amount is already sufficient to go to the next landform right? Then let's go!"

[Insufficient Death Coins. Cost of Forced Reincarnation to a large island will be 10M Death Coins]

"Tsk! I guess I really need this quest then! Now I have already thought up of a plan. System, do you sell materials from my world?"

[Indeed, but there are a few rules regarding that:]

1. Only items you have seen could be bought except for weapons and armor where you could just see the blueprints and buy the item. There are special items that could possibly useful to you purchasable for a cheap amount of Death Coins.

2. Some items could be unlocked by doing quests.

3. Buying items from your world would cost extra, which is 10 times the normal cost.

4. To unlock more rules and items, upgrade the system's store.

"Alright! I'll buy SWAT armor then how much for a set?"

[2 SWAT Sets- 1 Death Coin + Fee - 10 Death Coins = 11 Death Coins]

"Why 2 sets for a single Death Coin?"

[The system will try to make it as fair as possible and calculate the value for each item for a single Death Coin]

"Hmm... how about custom orders?"

[Regardless, it will cost more 1 more Death Coin for any size]

"Now! How much Death Coins to suit up my entire army?"

[Calculating... 152,000 Death Coins]

"Alright! Now I want around 10 pounds of C4 and 1,000 Tear Gas Grenades. I don't care about the price just purchase it."

[Calculating... 179, 000 Death Coins, taking 179,000 Death Coins, User has 434,500 Death Coins. The user has a Power Level: 1052]

A smile appeared on Hobie's face as he took the 10 pounds of C4 and placed them around the kingdom at the same time he ordered his Ghouls to surround the kingdom leaving space for the humans to run. Upon setting up everything, he waited until it was the dead of night to strike.

At the stroke of midnight, a man leading an army of Ghouls that could overwhelm kingdoms and still keep on fighting flipped a single switch. Chaos ensued the entire kingdom of Graath as a large explosion came from the walls protecting it.

"ATTACK!" A loud ear piercing voice echoed within the night traumatizing the survivors if there were any at all.

All the Ghouls surrounding the kingdom of Graath entered the kingdom via the holes left by the C4. Men fighting with the ghouls for their families to be saved, women taking their babies and running but there was nowhere to run, children crying as soldiers took them away. It was complete utter chaos.

The soldiers of Graast Kingdom were all trained to fight against beasts because other than the 2 previous kingdoms all of the rest were on friendly terms on each other. Battling the nearby beasts for years, the Ghouls that resembled these beasts were easily taken care of but the human-like Ghouls were harder for them as they didn't know what their deadliest weapon was.

Ghouls were an ancient creature by their perspective because it had already been thousands of years since one appeared. Knowing nothing about Ghouls these soldiers had already sealed their fate as they entered combat.

A simple bite, scratch, or swipe from a Ghoul can make any other creature into a Ghoul as well, considering that this action caused the skin to rupture that particular creature would then become a Ghoul.

"We've been at this for 6 hours straight! It's as if they are increasing in number instead of decreasing! This is bad we need to retreat!" A soldier shivered upon hearing that the number of the attacks increased instead of decreasing. All the soldiers retreated to the barracks nearby the castle of the king of this kingdom.

A warm light illuminated the sky allowing the soldiers to have more visibility on the entire situation. What they saw made one of the tough soldiers cry as he fell down on the ground, "T-This... is just too cruel... what kind of sick freak would do this?" He saw that the citizens that he had once protected, the baker he bought bread from, the bartender who he asked the usual from, his wife and kids had all become what he was fighting.

"Ah... the sun, warms you up doesn't it?" Hobie stretched as he was preparing to laze around while the Ghouls attacked the stronghold that the royalty and nobility were hiding in as well as gain more Death Coins.

[Adding 252,000 Death Coins, User has now 686,500 Death Coins]

[Quest: Get information for the king of Graast Kingdom]

[Reward: 1M Death Coins and Countdown until facing the enemy]

"Change of plans, let's go pay a little vist to his majesty."
