Today Jan. 28, 2021 is Bell Let's talk day. With everything that is going on, the pandemic, lockdowns, people losing their jobs and kids with online learning, it's immortant to take the time to sit down and asses your mental health.
Everyone's mentl health, no matter how young, old, race or gender you are, everyone needs time to just sit down and ask themselves "Hey, how are you doing?" Why? Well, stress is scary. Stress can physically and mentally affect your health.
I am here to say that it's okay to have doubts about how you are doing. It's okay to sit down and just cry, it's okay to feel sad. It's okay to have an off day where you just want to curl up under a soft, if you have one, weighted blanket and just feel happy and safe. If you don't thn onsie it up, you do you to feel comfy and warm.
Life is hard some times and some times it will weigh you down, just sometimes, not all the time. Nor should it put you in a point that you have rather dark thoughts or push you to believe that you ony have one option that will cause harm to yourself or your family. That's not a good ending, for anyone.
Know that there are people who are available to talk too and there are ears out there, family, friends, online strangers, hell I knew an older gentleman who would walk down the street strike up a coversation and then next second you're at his house drinking a beer and meeting his family for dinner, may he rest in peace, and cough, cough, some authors. We are all going through hard times and will have some level of understanding for others, so we should be there for one another.
So, take a moment, breath, comfort yourself or hug someone in your house, mine has two kids, a husband, dog, cat, bunny and a ridiculous amount of plushies, and tell yourself that you're okay. You're okay enough to get up, you're okay enough to take a shower, you're okay enough to eat, drink, and get dressed into something comfy and face the day at a comfortable pace.
Cause just like a good cry the wave of relief, satisfaction, rebirth, that you give yourself after everything is said and done is worth it. You are worth it. Don't ever forget that.
