Chapter 5 - Seal the Date (1)

Misha and Lyndon are still in the table. They are rather occupied with each other's affairs than talk. Misha is busy browsing her homepage at a networking site. She's happily checking status on her rivals. Some of them are good for her eyes and some aren't. From time to time, she sips from her glass. It was her favourite fruit shake. She's on a diet because of an upcoming project. Meanwhile, Lyndon is busy on his laptop working on his projects. Seeing this, Rodora can't help but shake her head.

'This can't be... It won't push through if it will continue this way...' she thought. She's been eyeing the two who had been left on the table. They seem to forget something very important.

'I feel something's amiss.' Mich thought to herself.

The two women were preoccupied with each own thoughts.

Albert coughed. He's been having a sign conversation with Shane.

"We forgot about the date of the wedding." said Shane which broke their silence. The two women suddenly turn their heads to Shane. Rodora and Michele felt awkward. Right! How can they forget? It is such an important detail. So, they began discussing it with themselves disregarding the one they wanted to marry. Well, they both don't care anyway.

"How about this coming spring?" suggested Michele.

"Hmm... That will be good but spring is yet far. How about at winter?" suggested Rodora. She could picture out Misha wearing a gown under the snow and his handsome baby boy in a white tuxedo. That will be really great. She even pictured the entourage, the flowers, the brides' maid and grooms men's clothing, the whole ambiance and the setting of the place. Wow!

But before even her fantasy came in to reality, Lyndon crushed it by saying, "We won't hold any ceremony. We're just going to the registry and file our marriage." The words uttered Lyndon were lightning struck to his mother.

The shocked Rodora, drained her blood instantly. She paled literally after what Lyndon said.

"But honey... You're just going to marry once. How come you don't want a ceremony?" She wanted to persuade her son while gathering her spirit.

"If you really like to have a ceremony, why don't you do it?" Lyndon said and he's obviously annoyed. He doesn't want to have a marriage ceremony. After all, he just announced it as a false rumour. He doesn't want to tarnish his reputation by backing on his words.

Misha on the other hand didn't say anything at all. It was already in their agreement. It is even on the top list. She too, doesn't want a ceremony. She doesn't want to be on the spotlight aside being on the runway. Anyways, she's also very busy because she's going to participate on VS fashion show in Paris. She's going to be away during whole winter. So, she stayed silent until her mother asked, "How about you Misha? You don't want a ceremony too?"

"Yup, I'm going to be on Paris during winter so, I am also okay not having a ceremony." agreeing Misha and this even paled Rodora. The woman slowly sat down shivering in disbelief.

The two men were silent.

They both know what to do with their headstrong wives. "Just let it go dear. It's common for youngsters nowadays." Albert is consoling his wife by rubbing her shoulders.

Rodora shakes her head and looked at the pair in disbelief. "I don't care if it's common nowadays, it's absurd. It's supposed to be a happy occasion and it's worth celebrating. "She uttered while massaging her forehead. Her head is aching due to sudden stress.

"Just let them be for now, okay?" added Albert still massaging his wife's shoulders.

Misha's parents didn't say anything. They both know how stubborn their daughter is. Once she says she's not going to do something, no one can make her to.

Shane just said, "Just think about it. We haven't really decided anything yet and it's about all about you. We can't decide anything for ourselves. It's your marriage after all." He smiled to Misha and Lyndon. He dotes on Misha very much. Whatever his princess wishes, will come true.

"Okay dad." agreed Misha. She suddenly looked at her phone.

Lyndon sent a text message on Misha.

Lyndon: "Let's meet after this."

Misha raised her brow looking at Lyndon then replied him.

Misha: "Where?"

Lyndon: "Same location."

Misha sent an emoticon sign, okay.

After that, they signalled the waiter for their bill. The waiter hurried to the counter and came back with their bill.

"This is on me." Lyndon volunteered. He handed his black card to the waiter.
