An Qi Yan had just hung up the call with Kai An when Sima Erden asked, "What's wrong?"
"Nothing… Kai An said that everything is fine but his voice was a little off," said An Qi Yan. She frowned and looked at the phone on her hand before adding, "It's his lying voice."
"He has a lying voice?"
"I can always tell when he lies… I'll give Kai Xin a call, just in case," said An Qi Yan.
She dialed her daughter's number and when someone picked up, she asked frantically, "Is everything alright at home? Are you alright? Did anyone get hurt?"
"Everything is fine," replied Kai Xin patiently. They had almost reached home.
An Qi Yan sighed in relief before saying, "I'm glad. I was worried that something might have happened."
"I'm fine. Everyone is fine. How's your trip? Are you coming back tonight?"
