Chapter 3 - New Era

Many years have passed and the Endless Time prophesied that "When the time comes when the land is being engulfed by flames and flooded by red tides, the day of judgment shall come once again."

Since then, A new era has arisen and a new kingdom has risen from the grounds with new rulers as well. As time passed by, they have manifested great power. Not only have they discovered a new power but also created more enchanted items. But the biggest development is more beings can create spirit bonds.

Spirit bonds, is forming contact with either a beast, spirit or any mythical creature it called Arch Soul. Forming a contact means gaining more power for the stronger the Arch Soul is the power you get but in order to be in contact which such a beast, one must be at least be at the same level as the Arch Soul.

In the Kingdom of Asaleith, which is home to mankind and ruled by the Overlord. It's mainly surrounded by farmlands and plantations. The kingdom is also surrounded by gentle streams, which supplies the water for the plants and trees. In the Kingdom of Asaleith not only is home to the Overlord who holds great power but also to a human who possesses none power at all.

They call those who do not possess any powers Normalem. Even though there parents or ancestors have great power, some does not inherit it. Even if they try to study magic, they cannot cast any.

Whilst the sun shines brightly in the Kingdom of Asaleith, the atmosphere was dreary and gloomy. As white petals from flowers dance along with the winds as it gets brief away, people inside the city kingdom were all lifeless.

Inside the enormous throne room with simple stoneworks in the sloped ceiling dance in the flicking light while statues look down upon the marble floor.

A red rug runs from the throne down to the grand door. Thick, huge and clear view window provided an amazing view of the blue sky. Red curtains hang beside the windows with fancy embroidery.

It filled the room with the scent of flowers as towers of it covered the room. Near the throne, a crystal casket was in place. In which a man peaceful laid in peace.

As nobles from each kingdom gather to pay their respect to the passing King and to his family.

"Lord Leidorf we are sorry for your lost." Lord Agares said as he approached him accompanied by his wife and children.

"Lord Agares, Lady Grey, everyone. Thank you…" He said

"Your Majesty this are Thrisirin, I personally grew them." a girl dress in a white shirt paired with a red skirt and white knee boots. Her eyes were pure red, with golden hair and pale white skin.

The man accepted the rare flower that the little girl gave him, such a gift is hard to reject.

The Thrisirin is a rare, medium size flower which only grew in Gworedon and needs extreme care. One cannot simply just plant it one must be an expert since the flower hardly blooms. If it's not properly taken care, it grows thick thorns which can easily cut through once skin. Not only does it have beautiful flowers but once the flower whether it can be used to make potions which are powerful than casting healing magic.

"Vania, thank you for this rare gift. You have indeed become a great expert when t comes to flowers, you must check our garden sometimes" he said

"Vania not only an expert in flowers but also a great herbalist and now studying alchemist as well." Tepes proudly said. He looked exactly like Lord Agares but with red hair.

"Big Brother is indeed proud of Big Sister," Elizabeth said while holding onto her doll. Who was dress in a violet lolita dress, her hair was golden and tied into pigtail with red ribbons.

King Leidorf smile in seeing the children, "Tepes will always be proud of his twin sister. I know you are proud of you Big Sister to Elizabeth."

King Leidorf continued to welcome the guest who paid their respect to the great king.

"Your Majesty, I'm sorry for your lost." Chief Thogus said. The Chief of Roek Valley, home to dwarf and hobbit. Since he was a dwarf he looked like the size of the human child but was bigger in size and very hairy.

"Chief Thogus, thank you for coming," he said.

"Your Majesty, have you heard any new with Theribeth?"

Lord Leidorf was confused for a second why he suddenly asked about the kingdom that has been in no contact with everyone since the Great War. "I have not, why?"

"A few days ago a young boy from Theribeth came to our village and asked if he can enter Pindover Forest and pick some Aecelia." Chief Thogus explained causing Lord Leidorf to be surprised. "I was quite surprised that in all the plants he wanted was Aecelia, I, of course, allowed him to pick them since it such as useless weed."

"Did you asked what he'll use it for?"

"I didn't ask but he was very kind and helpful. Since we didn't accept the money he offers for allowing him to pick the plant. He helps cured some of the sick elders."

King Leidorf continued to listen carefully to what Chief Thogus said. From what he just heard, the boy must be a great herbalist and alchemist that he must have found a way to use such useless weed. "Has he returned since then?"

"No, I have not heard from him since them. I think he might be an Elezen since he had elfen ears. However, he seems weak but quite amazing when it comes to alchemist and draughts."

Elezen is half elf and half human. Being Halfling does not always give one more advantage in power since they came from two different race. Sometimes the purer the being the powerful they are but it still cannot compare sometimes to those mix with other races.

Whilst Lord Leidorf continue to contemplate on what Chief Thogus said, a young man from behind him called his attention. "Father, Master Samyaza has arrived."

He turned around and saw the young man behind him, who was his exact image however the only difference was the boy wore glasses. "Chief Thogus excuse me, come let's not keep Master Samyaza waiting for Eddard."
