"I will take over now. You sleep." Shiv pushed Ahbinav into the bed.
"Then, I will sleep for a while now."
'My back hurts a little. Do I need to change the bandages again? Ahh... No need. I'm so tired to do it now. I will make this guy do it before we start!'
"*Yawn* I guess I'm wide awake now.... Wonder what is the time...." Ira slowly rolled out of her bed and went near the window.
She gazed up at the sky with a longing expression on her eyes. She looked very sad but was not able to shead a drop of tear.
All kinds of thoughts ran through her mind. She hasn't cried since then. She just sat behind the window quietly with an extremely sad face for a long time...
'I wonder how she is doing? Is she sleeping well? I will just go and take a quick look at her...'
Shiv couldn't stop thinking about Ira. He slowly got up and walked next door.
'Is she sleeping well?' He slowly opened the door afraid that it might wake her up.
He saw a strikingly beautiful girl behind the window. She looked extremely sad. Her sad eyes pierced his heart. He couldn't bear to see her like that.
The gentle breeze blowed through the window, touched her soft wavy black hair. Her beautiful hair gently danced with the flow of the wind which looked so pretty that his heart skipped a beat.
She gently caught those escaped curls and held them behind her ear. The room was a little dark. Moonlight was the only source of brightness. Compared to her, the moon looked a little dull!
She was as beautiful as a sorceress. A sorceress, that bewitched him.
He stood there frozen on the same spot for some time before she broke the silence.
"What happened? Why are you here?"
"Hmm... Well... I... I just wanted to check up on you. That's why...."
"Oh! I'm fine. Don't worry about me. I just couldn't sleep. That's all."
"Then want to go out for a stroll? Anyways we have to leave early today."
"Hmm... A stroll, sounds good. Let's go."
She went near him and pulled his arm.
They both took a stroll at the backyard of the inn. It was indeed a big one, in this village. The backyard was tastefully decorated and a perfect place to take a stroll.
Shiv got tired due to the wounds on his back and suggested to sit for a while.
They both sat on the grassbed and stared far off into the sky... Ira laid on her back as she looked at the sky.
"You are so defenceless..."
"Haha... Why should I be on my defence when you are here?"
'You should defend yourself from me!' He kept that thought to himself as he sighed and started at the girl who was so cozy in his presence while he was using every ounce of his strength to restraint himself from touching her!
"Shiv..."
"Huh?"
"You know what... In my world we can barely see the stars. Seeing this many stars is probably my first time. It's so nice and beautiful."
"What do you mean?"
"I have been wanting to tell you this for a long time now..." Ira sounded a little serious as she spoke. She looked at him straight in the eyes.
"I know it is hard to believe... But if you relate what I am going to tell, with the things that happened around me, you could probably understand."
Shiv looked a little lost as she continued to speak.
"I came from the future. I don't belong here."
"What do you mean? How could.... wait. The first time we met, you disappeared into thin air. No matter how much I searched for you, you were nowhere to be found. There was not even a single trace of you. So, you mean you went back to your time then?"
"Yes, at that time I went back... I know that you can't believe me. I was also the same! I couldn't believe at the beginning that I traveled to the past. But somehow it happened...."
"Then, why did you come back? If you were able to go, then why... why did you return?"
Shiv couldn't accept it but all the things that surrounded her was indeed misterious. She was a person, who was as free as a wind that could not be captured or it leaves any trace once it's passes by.
If he thinks carefully, it was not that hard to believe.
"I come back because I wanted to save my family. They are in danger by someone from this world. My father and grandfather got murdered by someone from here and that person is targeting my remaining family. I want to find him and stop him from going to the future. If I can change the course of history, then maybe, I could save my dad and grandpa. But I'm not sure about anything... Could you please help me to find that man?"
Shiv didn't respond for a while. He was gathering all the information which he got from her just then.
It was not only hard to believe, but it also had something to it. Something that he couldn't clearly explain.
"I know that I am making an unreasonable request here, but I don't have anyone but you here who could possibly help me."
Even Ira understood that what she was telling made no sense, even to her. But that's the fact, they both must face it sooner or later, if they are determined to get involved with eachother.
"Who is the one that you are searching for?"
"I have no information on him. I don't even know his face. But something tells me I will know once I meet him. It's so vague that even I feel so disheartened...." Ira let out a big sigh as she started to stare at the sky again.
She had a very sad look on her face. He hated to see her sad. He wanted to pull her into his arms and make her forget all the bad things that's hurting her. He wanted to protect her from everything that could possibly cause any harm to her.
But! What right does he have to do that? What is he to her? That very thought killed him!
He silently laid beside her and watched over her.
"Give me some time before I could answer you."
"Sure! I'm happy that you are even giving it a thought."
