"Don't waste your breath! You can't get out of here alive!" One of the enemy men sounded so excited to burn them alive.
"Stop it. We are not here to kill them off. We were only asked to stall them here!" A guy appeared from behind a tree. He covered his face well enough that people were not able to see. He had a dark and mysterious aura around him which made one hard to neglect his presence.
"HUH! There he comes! You guys are lucky today! If not for this man here I would have loved to slit your throats open! Anyways you got the wrong village. You better forget about that chick!" As he said he licked off the tip of his sword.
His eyes were menacing and were filled with blood lust for Shiv and his group. He had a huge scar on his face, which left quite an impression on Shiv.
"Let's leave! Our work here is done." The man behind the tree ordered coldly.
"Prince! They are leaving! We cannot stall any longer. The people are in need of our help!" Dev reminded Shiv once again.
"Let's go!"

"What is happening here? This lass! I think she is disappearing! I can't believe my eyes now!"
"What should we do? What will we tell General now?"
The light grew brighter and brighter as she slowly started to fade into thin air. Within a few seconds she completely disappeared from their sight. The place where they threw her was empty. The two men were completely out of their minds after witnessing something like that.
"Gen.. General! The girl... the girl we kidnapped... has disappeared!"
"What? What did you just say?" Amar was dumbfound after hearing this news.
...
"Who is this girl?"
...
"What happened? Hurry! We don't have time to rest! There are a lot of people we need to save!"
*SCREAMS*
"Save my child! Please! Please save my child!" A woman approached Shiv and pleaded for his help with all her might. She had burnt wounds all over her body and was covered in blood.
"Lady! Please calm down a little and lead me the way. I will definitely save your son!" Shiv held the woman up.
"This way... *Weeps* My child! My child!"
The hut she leaded to was completely burning. They was no way to enter that hut. But Shiv could hear the faint voice of a kid asking for help.
"Shiv. Stop it! You can't enter there! We can't save that child! It's too late.... Besides you hurt your leg!" Aditya tried to make him understand by pulling on his arm.
"What are you saying? How can we leave that child there all alone? How terrified must he be!?" Shiv pushed away Aditya's hand and headed to that burning hut.
The woman fell to the ground and started to weep terribly.
"Arg! Kid! Where are you? Do you hear me?"
The hut was in a very terrible shape. The roof of the hut could collapse any minute. The more Shiv went inside, the more the fire obstructed his path. He could barely breath due to insufficient air. He was also clearly worried about that kid. He dragged himself slowly but steadily.
"Answer me! Kid... are you okay? I am coming to rescue you... don't worry."
A mild voice was heard. "Save me! Help! I am scared!" *weeping*
He found the kid. But the child's leg were caught on fire and he was screaming from the pain and agony.
Shiv ran towards that child, as he took off his robe and put out the fire.
"Here you are! Don't worry. I will take you to your mother. Now grab onto me tightly and don't let go! You got it!"
The kid moved his head a little, indicating it as a nod. He barely had the strength to even nod.
"Don't worry child! I have got you! Your mother is waiting for you outside." Shiv tried to calm him down.
"Mother! My mother! Is she alright?" His voice was hoarse from all the screaming.
"Don't worry! Your mother! She is fine. I will take you to her soon!"
The fire grew wilder. Shiv could not avoid himself from letting the fire catch him. He was too busy protecting the child he was carrying on his arms.
Aditya tried to put out the fire from outside. The fire only grew bigger and bigger. Aditya could see a glimpse of shadow at the entrance of the hut.
"Shiv! You made it! Come on man!" Aditya could no longer hide his emotions after seeing Shiv walk out of the fire.
Shiv collapsed onto the ground the moment he came out of the hut!
"Arg! My child! My child!" The woman kept on weeping and weeping holding onto the kid.
"Aditya! Look into his wounds! He burnt his legs. Take care of him for me!" Aditya nodded and carried the child to the place where they kept all the other rescued peasants.
After a whole night of struggle, the fire died down, leaving almost nothing and burning everything and some people to death.
Within a few hours, the village was turned into nothing! The cries and wails of the villagers filled the air. The night was very cold and cruel, that their cries were submerged into thin air.
Shiv punched the tree, "DAMN IT! DAMN IT! Just to stall me and my men, they dared to burn down one whole village? This doesn't even make any sense!"
"Ira! Amidst this crises I completely forgot about her! I wonder if she is alright. Damn it! I should have protected her properly! Ira... Please hang in there! I will definitely get you back."
Shiv looked at the cold moon as his eyes were filled with worry for her.
