Chapter 1 - Chapter-1 "Poor Lin"

"Hmm? Ah! My head… what the? Where am hell am I?" Lin tired to stand up and all that happen was his head hit the something above him.

Inside a dark room with no source of light, Lin could not make up for his surroundings. Could not make up for his surroundings. When Lin tried to move his arms all he could hear log was clanking of metal chains.

If anyone is stuffed into a tiny room with no light and all a person could hear was his breathing sound and heartbeat, that person would be more or less frightened death without knowing how he got there.

But Lin, you could say he was a special case. A year ago when working in the welding factory, he lost his eyes. So, after living in darkness for so long, he was quite used to it. But never the less, he was still feeling uneasy.

To a person who cannot use eyes, only hearing or touching something familiar can give them some relaxation from anxiety.

Given that Lin didn't even know how he got here, it was a frightful experience to some extent.

Rotating his neck around, listening to the clanking of chains after moving his hands and feet and listening to them could make him a little relax.

But then suddenly the door closed for so long suddenly pulled open. The bright light made him unable to see anything in front of him, all he could hear a voice.

"Run, all those damned people are fighting among themselves and remember 'Move along river flow to get to nearest village'..." After saying his piece, the man made a short jump and broke his chains with an ax.

But Lin who was trying adjust to the light could only hear the crashing sound of ax and claims. He was free from any chain no matter on legs or hands. He was free now.

Giving his instructions, the man disappeared from the gate. Narrowing his eyes, Lin walked to the gate swaying. Not knowing what was happening around him, Lin followed the instructions of the man.

Moving along with wall's support, he could finally see a thing or two around him. This place was something like a... prison, where the specimen is usually kept. Inside the rooms, there were tables and few chairs.

No matter how one looks at it, a chill crept down Lin's spine. Paying no heed, how he can see things right now when he was blind sometime ago.

The sound of people screaming and running could be heard but no one could be seen, making the surroundings very chilling.

"Exit…", Continuously walking for some time in the corridor Lin could finally see the end of the corridor and the exit.

But when he got out of the corridor, all he could see were trees. Forest! He was in a forest.

Without paying any heed to where he was and thinking about want should be done, Lin simply picked a direction and started walking with the best pace he could.

Not knowing why but he could feel that something dangerous was coming towards him and if he does not continue to move he would die. And especially the feeling that the 'thing' was especially coming for him was throbbing deep inside.

Run... keep your life, Stop… you die. Yes, this kind of feeling. And an inexplicable one above that.

In the end, he couldn't support his body and fell on the ground. Many thoughts arose inside him.

Why he was feeling so weak, why could he see things even when he was blind a day ago, where he was, why was he running, what was he running from… but there was no one who could answer his questions.

Just then a black streak of light flashed behind him, a place behind him where no one was standing there was a man with black attire standing now.

Amber eyes like a snake didn't represent any human would have. Those eyes gave a feeling of a hunter playing with it's pretty but hunter couldn't get any satisfaction out of it anymore.

Looking at those eyes one could only pray God to help one to divert those eyes Amber eyes, so one could breathe the air of relief.

A man with Amber eyes looked at him without any sympathy, grabbed Lin's hair and pulled him into the air with one hand and with another hand, he took out a silver colored stone. The size was no bigger than a finger's nail.

He opened Lin's mouth and shoved the nail sized stone into Lin's mouth and started laughing maniacally.

"This is the rarest stone I could find to give you enough pain to plunge into the darkest abyss. It won't give you a quick death but a slow and steady death. This is my revenge that I have to get, which I couldn't get from your damned father. I-have-to-get-it-from-you. Now, die…" after giving such a long speech, a man with Amber eyes stuffed the nail sized stone into Lin's mouth.

"Those damned people are still coming after me? Ah! One day I will get my revenge, just why can't I kill you today…" A man with Amber eyes stared at Lin and kicked him on his chest, enough times to make him spit out his lungs.

After having his anger satiated he quickly ran away without looking back. Don't know if a man with Amber eyes was confident Lin will die or because people were after him, so he was in hurry to escape.

All left was Lin covering inside the dark forest with no one else to accompany him in the hours of horrifying pain. The small stone was enough to make him wish he was better a corpse which could nor move or feel anything.

The shrill sounds of wind around him made shiver into a ball. In the end, all he could do was try his best to desist from making any noise which could alert other animals.

"O-one day you will b-beg, beg for you puny life. This is my o-oath. I don't even know-know what is enmity between us is… as for pain, I will think of it as an exchange for my new eyes." Lin's eyes turned red and clenched his teeth to resist from getting unconscious. Something like an instinct, somehow he knew if he sleep now means he would never wake up…
