Trees were swaying left and right… leaves were swaying too… clouds were flowing across the horizon... early morning dew dripping down the leaves which made the world look a little moist and wet… small curious insect playing on the tree leaves as of enjoying the early morning… only one thing was out of place which made the mesmerizing scene look a little… lonely.
Lin who was lying down on the ground clutching his stomach, covered in morning dew, wondering why he was not dead yet.
Time passed and the sun rose. The unbearable pain inside Lin's stomach began to suddenly move from his stomach area. Moving towards his chest and then towards the throat and gradually moving upwards. When it reached the mouth, it made pain unbearable. Teeth felt like millions of worms were drilling inside, even clanking upper jaw into the lower jaw to subside some pain but, no avail.
The pain just won't go away! But worse came when pain gradually moving towards the forehead, making him feel like all brick in a house won't be enough to make him feel better even if he smashes them on to his forehead until every last brick turns into dust.
Just when he reached a tree so he could smash his head into a tree and get over all of it, all pain suddenly disappeared like a swatted fly and felt like all he felt before was nothing but an illusion. The feeling that came after it was like… no one could describe it perfectly.
A rune of a woman like a figure appeared on his forehead with vines like tattoos started spreading all over his body, extending from his forehead till the toes. All his body was covered in different symbols and tattoos. Even Lin was dumbfounded to see all this happening.
Lin was sure that something like this was not something ordinary.
All those patterns remained for some moment then gradually disappeared.
After looking all this happen, he was sure that what he had seen a moment ago was not any hallucination that usually comes from local roadside drugs and that drug must be a top grade drug one.
All that aside, Lin could feel his body was different now. He could feel his body healing slowly but at a faster pace than before and was not feeble like yesterday when he could only use the support of the wall to move.
Trying to stand up, Lin grasped for the tree but something 'magical' happened. His hand passed through the tree. Yeah! Passed though!
With a 'thud' Lin fell on to the ground, not able to understand what was happening to him. But when looked closely, he was on the other side of the tree!
He really passed through the tree! Gradually Lin suppressed his shock and all that left was pure excitement. He was shouting fervently in his mind, "I f#&king passed through the tree! Cool…"
In the beginning, Lin, couldn't believe something so unbelievable could actually happen some time gradually controlled his excitement to focus on a very important task- 'To pass through the tree.'
The first thing Lin did was to draw some small distance between him and tree, close to 50 meters. After taking a position to sprint, Lin madly ran...
But there was no one to hint him, "Lin please slow down or else… or else you will cry really hard." At that end rather than passing through, he ended up getting himself rammed into the tree.
After laying on the ground finally, Lin had some time to process things, there was something missing throughout these actions. He could not just blindly run into the trees, right?
Again, Lin used his hand to see if it could pass through the wall again but to no avail. Running into the tree once again, punching the tree and even replaying the actions previously used, but to no avail.
After getting nowhere no matter how many times he tried, he gradually cooled down and thought to rest a bit. Thinking about the same thing, how can something like that actually happen? If something like that could really happen then, no bank in the world would be safe!
Suddenly, when he was trying to think why he couldn't pass through the tree again with his back against the tree in resting position, he actually passed through the tree.
It almost looked like a tree grew from his stomach. If anyone tries to relate this incident carefully to his previous attempts, he would notice what detail Lin was missing when he was earlier trying to pass through the tree.
"I was only concentrating on my physical action but I never thought about the actions I was doing!" This was what Lin made up with all his broken English.
Never the less he was now having a lead about what was happening. Surprisingly, when he again tried again he passed through the tree again!
There was no end to his excitement! He crazily dashed through the trees and bushes like there was nothing in front of him but thin air.
If anyone looked at Lin right now, he would be so much scared, he would almost wet his pants from shouting,"👻 Ghostttttt…"
Nothing could come in front of him now. Everything that could come, he already passed through them!
When Lin almost lost all his stamina from running continuously, he stopped and started to become concerned about other things. He was hungry!
It felt like he was on diet after not drinking or eating for days. His throat was already dried earlier and now felt like a sandpaper was directly rubbed on his throat.
Not knowing if it was because he was passing through nature's wonders and running like crazy or it was because he was already hungry before when he came into this forest and only noticed it now.
Never the less, he was hungry right now! He looked around to see if anything could help him with his current concurrence.
Looking around the forest only now did Lin noticed that there was no animal to be seen. Lin recalled the studies he did earlier. When there are no animals around, only two things can be guessed.
There is a natural disaster but, looking at those green an tall trees I don't think it's possible.
There must some horrifying animal inside this forest, like a… black and white, twin eyed small bear or something that everyone knows a 'panda'. Never the less it must be a brown bear at least.
But, Lin quickly dispersed his knowledge regarding the most dangerous animals in a forest he learned Wildlife and discovery channel because only now he noticed a horrifying monster that was standing in front of him which was nor a panda, nor a bear...
