Although Michael was well hidden from Zoey and her driver, Zoey can still sense that someone was lurking behind her. It actually creeps her out but she decided to keep it to herself because she doesn't want everyone she knew to worry about her instincts. It may or may not be true that is why she thought that she shouldn't make it as a big deal.
One day, before Nickel goes back home, Zoey messaged her friend, Alfie, and tried to ask him if he's free to drive her home. Her hired driver suddenly fell ill after drinking spoiled milk last night. Even though it is okay for her to take a cab, she still has a weird feeling about her surroundings.
"Alfie, are you busy today?"
"Zoey! Wow! You still remembered me?" Alfie joked. Ever since he heard that Zoey has a new boyfriend he tried to distance himself from Zoey.
"What the hell are you saying? Of course, I remember you, idiot!" Zoey is still clueless about his feeling for her. Zoey treated Alfie as her brother since they were young. Like she found a twin brother in Alfie, a slightly dumb and sweet twin brother.
"As if! What do you want?" Despite having his heartbroken from her sudden relationship he cannot keep distancing himself. Anyway, he is just only one moving on, Zoey doesn't know his feeling so there is no friendship that got ruined.
"Can you drive me to work?" Zoey excitedly said her intention to Alfie like she was expecting him not to reject her.
"Did you live under a rock? There is a so-called Grab or cabs, Zoekella."
"I know but … okay, never mind! If you are busy or not, I'll just book a cab for myself." Zoey was about to say goodbye when Alfie told her to wait inside her lobby.
Michael, on the other hand, was waiting for her to go out of her building. He hasn't seen her driver's car anywhere. And with that thought, Michael planned to appear in front of her and tried to offer her a ride to the office. Given that she doesn't know how to drive or that it is already rush hour for her to book or hail any cabs.
Alfie entered the compound at the east playground area; there he saw one familiar car. He tried to check who owns it but due to its heavy tinted windows, Alfie cannot see a thing.
"MKC990? I think I already saw that." Alfie said to himself and continued driving his way into Zoey's building.
He honked two times and then Zoey appeared beside his passenger seat.
"Jeez, what are you driving? A funeral car?" and she goes, she just called me twenty minutes ago and he tried to fly from his condo to hers that were just his thoughts. Afraid of Zoey's mighty slaps that is why he decided to keep it within himself.
"Yeah! This is a funeral car hop in and I will drive you to your final destination." He answered back.
"The heck! Knock on wood! I still want to live!" Zoey knocks her fist to Alfie's head as if it is the wood she's been looking for.
"Where's your boyfriend by the way? Why don't you disturb him instead of bothering me?" Alfie broke the silence inside the car. Zoey was too focused on her phone and forgot his presence.
"Nickel? He's in a convention right now. That's the reason why I'm disturbing your very existence. Hahahaha!"
Zoey put her phone down. "He actually hired a driver for me but my driver suddenly fell ill."
"I see."
"I also want to hail or book a cab but since Nickel left, I felt that someone is following me from day and night." Zoey shared her feelings to one of her close friends. Alfie, on the other hand, crumpled his brows and looked at her through the rearview mirror.
"Have you found out who it is?" He asked.
"Nope, I'm finding who it is."
The two reached ASC building and before Zoey open the door out, "call me when you're out or wherever you will go and I will drive for you." Worried about his friend's safety, Alfie canceled his entire meeting for today just to be free once Zoey calls him out.
Zoey flashed a sweet smile to thank him.
