The next morning at Aescott
"Slept well?"
Wang Yan hovered behind Ruo Qin when she was preparing breakfast at the kitchen.
"I always sleep well with you."
Ruo Qin smiled, as Wang Yan placed a peck on her collarbones.
Ruo Qin places breakfast on the kitchen counter and both of them started digging in..

Wang Yan: When does your new job starts?
Ruo Qin: A month from now..Mr Li said there will be a launch exhibit for me and i need to start painting today
Wang Yan: I'm looking forward to your exhibition Ms Artist. Do you need anything for your work later? I'll get Renxi to pick it up
Ruo Qin: I'll be fine, you better get going! Gonna be late!

"Zoey, can you take me to the Regen? I'd like to visit my mother.."
Zoey, her bodyguard escorted Ruo Qin to the Regen Hospital without any questions.
However...
Ruo Qin wasn't there to just visit her mother.
She wants to get a check on her eyes. The previous 2 blackout incidents got her worried.
Her only choice was to get checked at The Regen as her bodyguards are always with her, visiting other hospital would cause suspicion.
Ruo Qin wanted to keep it personal.
"Ms Ruo Qin, how may i help you?"
One of the head nurse greeted her at the patient reception.
"I'd like to get my eyes check..can it be done today?" Ruo Qin asked
"Of course, Ms Ruo Qin, let me arrange a doctor for you. Please take a seat."
The nurse immediately arranged with one of the doctors for her eye check up.
Moments later...
A doctor in his white coat appear before Ruo Qin...
"Ms Ruo Qin, i'm Doctor Wu, shall we proceed with your check up?"
Dr Wu extend a handshake and ushered Ms Ruo Qin to the room.

Dr Wu: Ms Ruo Qin, can you tell me more about your worries? Is there discomfort?
Ruo Qin: Yesterday my vision turned blurry and i was blinded for a few seconds..
Dr Wu: Are there any pain when it happened?
Ruo Qin: There wasn't..
Dr Wu: Alright, i'm going to shine a strong red light into your eyes, it may feel uncomfortable, i need your eyes to follow my direction when i ask you to shift your gaze alright. Relax your eyes.

After Dr Wu ran several test and check on her eyes...his expression wasn't very optimistic.
Frown lines began to form on his forehead as if it was something omnimous...
Ruo Qin tensed up after she noticed Dr Wu's expression..
"Dr Wu, is something wrong with me?"
Ruo Qin asked, full of worries.
"Ms Ruo Qin, we need to run an MRI scan for you before we can confirm anything, please follow me this way."
Dr Wu ushered her into the scanning room.
After completing the scan, Dr Wu reads through her report, as he explained her condition.

Dr Wu: Ms Ruo Qin, can i ask if you have been in any accidents or eye surgery before?
Ruo Qin: ..Yes..a car accident but that was 6 years ago.
Dr Wu: Ms Ruo Qin..from your report it shows that your corneas have been inflammed for a period of time without proper treatment, which the inflammed cells have developed a 0.04mm tumor on the corneas..and it's malicious which permanent blindness may occur.. a cornea transplant is necessary otherwise the malicious cells will spread.
Ruo Qin: a..tumor? does that mean i will...die if i don't get the transplant?
Dr Wu: Ms Ruo Qin, there are still chances of recovery, I have put you in the urgent waiting list for cornea transplant, once we have a suitable donor, the surgery will begin.
Dr Wu: Meanwhile, i will prescribe you medication to stop the tumor from developing any further. However, you may still experience sudden blindness, if you felt any pain, please come back here immediately. You will visit me again 3 weeks later, and we will check on the tumor again.
Dr Wu: Ms Ruo Qin, you need to stay positive, we will call you once we have a suitable donor. Like i said, there is still chances of recovery.

She fell silent.
...
The blood was draining from her face.
Life has taken a toll on her.
When Gao Meizhen run her over with her car 6 years ago, have damaged her corneas without proper treatment..
Ruo Qin knelt down outsisde the consultation room. Lost of words, her body shivers with fear as she weep silently...
"wh...why...why..is this happening to me..." she mumbled to herself as she control her tears. She went to the washroom, looked at herself in the mirror and touches her face..
The thought of not being able to see Wang Yan anymore ached her even more, tears stream down her face, her eyes were sore.
** RING RING **
It was Wang Yan calling..
Ruo Qin tried to clear her throat, afraid Wang Yan could hear her crying before she pick up his call.

Wang Yan: Qin..you went to the Regen?
Ruo Qin: Oh..yes..just wanted to check on my mother and get some art tools on the way
Wang Yan: Are you okay? having a sore throat?
Ruo Qin: Nope i'm fine, just had a little cough just now..
Wang Yan: Alright, i'll see you for dinner tonight okay?
Ruo Qin: Yup! okay
Wang Yan: I love you.

The call ended.
Ruo Qin dropped to her knees again, how is she going to break this news to her mother when they just reunited?
How is she going to tell Wang Yan this?
Her whole world was crushing down.
After some time, Ruo Qin decided to check on her mother through the windows silently, as she didn't wanted her mother to see her crying..
Madam Qian was already sound asleep after her treatment.
Shortly,
Ruo Qin left Regen Hospital as she hastily tried to stuff her medical report into her bag afraid her bodyguards would notice.
She returned back to Aescott.

Back at Aescott,
Ruo Qin looked at her canvas and tools..Her new job as an artist, she was almost there to her dreams, if she becomes blind, she could not paint anymore.
From there, Ruo Qin wanted to fulfill her dreams before anything happens. She wants to witness her very own launch exhibition at Pixen Gallery that is happening next month.
She sets her mind to it, wiped off her tears and picked up her brushes, her color palette and started painting her works.
'I must finish my paintings...'
Ruo Qin thought in her head, she just wanted to complete and watch her dreams come true.
