Min Chae exhaled loudly as she jumped out of the bus.
"What's wrong with you, Min Chae-ah?" Jang Mi stared at her with a strange look.
Min Chae grinned and pulled her to the side to whisper, "it was the first time I had such a peaceful time in the bus."
"What do you mean?" Jang Mi raised an eyebrow, insinuating her lack of understanding.
"No, I mean, every time me and Yeo Ri rode the bus, there's always someone who wants to hit on Yeo Ri. But today, it was so quiet!" Min Chae stifled her laughter.
She remembered the silent altercations that had happened in the bus.
The bus was not full so they were able to snag their own seats, and the Lee siblings sat next to each other, with Yeo Ri sitting next to the aisle, and Min Chae and Jang Mi sat in the row behind them. But then, at another stop, the bus became more crowded.
Some of the newly entered passengers had shown interest in Yeo Ri, and after pushing and shoving each other, a group of boys had decided to stand next to Yeo Ri, though there were still some empty seats in the bus.
And then, without warning, Hyuk told Yeo Ri to exchange seats with him.
"Hm? Okay." Yeo Ri was puzzled by his request, but agreed to it anyways since she didn't mind.
Then, Hyuk stood up, looked at the boys with a warning glare, and sat down on Yeo Ri's seat after she scooted to his previous one that was next to the window.
Seeing the man's ferocious glare, of course, none of the boys dared to make a move.
He didn't even need to say anything to send them scattering! Min Chae felt like she should learn Hyuk's trademark glare to make her task of chasing flies away from Yeo Ri easier.
"Respect, respect." Min Chae nodded wih admiration. "As expected of Yeo Ri's brother."
"What are you guys talking about?" Yeo Ri slipped in-between the two secretive girls, smiling as naively as always. "Let's go!"
"Okay, okay," Min Chae and Jang Mi exchanged glances before following Yeo Ri's lead.
After walking for a short while, they finally reached the library.
As soon as they entered, they were able to spot Gun who was already sitting at a table that was visible from the entrance. He purposely chose the spot so that the girls could find him quickly.
Gun had been looking through a few books and marking some questions, not noticing the group.
Yeo Ri and the rest could see the glances that other girls were sending to Gun. There were even some who came to ask if the seats near him were occupied. Clearly, they were interested in the good-looking boy who was sitting by himself on a table that could fit six people.
There were even a few people who gave him small pieces of paper which probably contained their contact information.
"Wow, Gun-oppa is so popular," Yeo Ri remarked with an amused grin.
An idea suddenly popped out in her head. She motioned the three to keep quiet as she scooted quietly behind Gun without him noticing her. Min Chae, Jang Mi, and Hyuk followed behind her with curious gazes, but Yeo Ri only smiled mischievously in response.
Gun was too absorbed in his task that he didn't bother looking up, so Yeo Ri was able to creep behind him easily.
"Guess who?" Yeo Ri asked as she covered his eyes from behind.
Gun paused, then after half a second, he smiled. He leaned into his chair and gently raised her palms off his face. "Yeo Ri-ah, you're here?"
"We're here~" Yeo Ri very naturally sat next to him, smiling brightly. Gun reciprocated her smile. Seeing her look so happy made him happy.
"Gun-oppa, hello," Min Chae greeted him before sitting down across him.
Similarly, Jang Mi greeted him, "Gun-sunbaenim, hello." She bowed her head bashfully before looking to see where she should sit.
Gun sat in the middle, and Yeo Ri took the spot on his left. Min Chae had taken the seat in front of him, and before she knew it, the seat in front of Yeo Ri was already taken by Hyuk. All that was left was the seat next to Gun, and the seat across it. They were both the closest and the farthest seat from Gun respectively.
Min Chae noticed her predicament, then motioned for the girl to take the seat next to Gun.
Jang Mi glared at Min Chae with an embarrassed look.
"Jang Mi?" Gun called out. Lim Jang Mi had been standing around for some time now and they needed to get started soon so the tutoring session could be finished before the sun comes down.
"Ah, yes!" Jang Mi hurriedly took the closest seat to her; the one next to Min Chae.
"Excuse me, but can you sit closer? It'll be hard for me to check your answers when you sit so far away," Gun wrinkled his eyebrows, but spoke politely to the girl.
"O-of course, yes!" Jang Mi clumsily stood up and plopped down next to Gun with a reddened face.
Min Chae pursed her lips, hiding her growing grin. Jang Mi was making it too obvious! She laughed internally, making fun of Jang Mi who was acting like a schoolgirl with a crush; it was too different compared to her usual behaviour that Min Chae couldn't help but have the urge to tease her. Looking around, it seems like she was the only one paying attention to Jang Mi's minute reactions.
Along with Hyuk who was just spectating, the three girls and Gun began their study session.
