Chapter 107 - Thunder And Demonheart

Eventually, the clouds stopped expanding and charging up and the first bolt of lightning came down. Chojusen gave a contemptible smirk and snuffed the thunder bolt out of existence with a flick of his fingers. This continued on for seven sets of nine bolts of lightning. When the eight set appeared, Chojusen had to barely increase his power by activating his density duplication skill and flicking out the thunder with as much ease as as before.

When he completed the ninth set, he had to increase the effects of Density Duplication to 10% of his max. In the tenth set his application of Density Duplication increased to 25%... the thirteenth set took him to 100%. For the fourteenth set, he started using his own Dao of Thunder to cancel the thunder with his hands; he still needed the residual energy of the thunder to cause his Turtlesnake to collapse and give birth to a Jindan.

Like this Chojusen managed to reach 90 sets before even his own Dao of Thunder started to lose out against the ever increasingly terrifying thunder. For the 91st set, Chojusen assumed his Balance Breaker form and with his Dao of Thunder, he managed to breeze through to the 98th set. When the 99th set started, Chojusen finally started to get worried. He had already shattered the record after crossing the tenth set, but the heavens felt he needed 89 more to become a Celestial Immortal? How unfair…

At least there was comfort in knowing that this was definitely the final set; Chojusen could tell because the clouds started dissipating after the first bolt came down. Chojusen smashed this first bolt with his fist like he down countless times before, but this time he was actually knocked down a couple hundred kilometers from the overwhelming power behind the thunder's power.

The next bolt came down before he could catch his breath, and only by enlarging his hands with the Multisize technique did Chojusen manage to stay in the game. The third, fourth, and fifth bolts were swept away by Chojusen's enormous hands, but the seventh bolt left a terrifying burning hole mark through Chojusen's hand and chest.

The eighth bolt came down and Chojusen threw caution to the wind, activating his Dao of Nihility on top of his already active Dao of Thunder. His hands managed to cancel out the eight thunderbolt, but Chojusen's energy was almost completely depleted; he had already been snapping thunderbolts left and right for the past couple hours.

For the last thunderbolt, the heavens did something different. They didn't immediately send it down; and not because they didn't want to, it's just they also needed time to charge up the upcoming thunder attack to make sure Chojusen died. Chojusen took this time that the last bolt charged up, to recover his own energy.

As he converted the nihility around him into elemental essence and absorbed it, his eyes narrowed as he watched the thunder clouds get completely consumed by this last thunderbolt. When all the preparations were done, the bolt unnaturally stood still in nihility. It shined with all the colors of the rainbow and pulsed out black, white, and grey pieces of energy.

"Oh great, now this thunderbolt is copying my strategy of incorporating other Daos." The thunderbolt was actually emanating the aura of the five elements, space, time, yin, and yang on top of its innate thunder aura. Chojusen sighed while standing in the zone of nothingness. He looked at the thunderbolt with a hint of respect and decided to finish this tribulation with all his power.

Five pairs of white wings grew from his back and three black halos stood still just a couple centimeters over his head. A piercingly bright white shine signified the creation of yet another Creation Dao Heavenly Demon Staff, and at the tip of the staff stood a ghastly white flame, composed of the five elemental Daos Chojusen had initially mastered.

The thunderbolt in the nihility finally began its move, but to Chojusen's Fiendgod Eyes, it might as well have just been crawling towards him; it was painfully slow. Chojusen waited for the bolt to reach his staff's range and once there, he swung his staff at the speed of light. When the ghost flame at the tip of his staff collided with the frankly unreal tribulation thunder, A horrifying shockwave caused Chojusen to be knocked several thousand kilometers away, but the thunder had been completely countered.

Chojusen's staff was in shambles after colliding with the heavenly tribulation thunder; no one would believe that last attack was something at the level of Celestial Immortals, not by a long shot. Chojusen stopped himself from flying away any further and returned to the scene of the tribulation; he didn't have to, as the next tribulation would take place in his soulscape, but the heavens earned his respect, or at least frightened him into stopping his arrogant behavior.

The last tribulation was called the Demonheart tribulation and as soon as Chojusen sat down in the tribulation site, it began…

Chojusen opened his eyes and found himself back in the Ninja world. He stood in the corner of a hospital room and watched as his mother gave birth to him and his brother. He watched from an odd perspective as he could both see everything like an outsider yet control his body anyways.

He lived through his life for a second time. Stopping Obito, Rescuing Hinata, Contracting the Butterfly Clan… Step by step, Chojusen relieved his life, except this time, he made sure to rewrite his mistakes. He annihilated Danzo very quickly, and made sure to hide his identity as a Chaosfiend in Rias' universe, only revealing himself when he was strong enough to stand uncontested; less people died because of this.

Chojusen kept himself in this demonheart world because he wished to experience a perfect world, but soon, the demonheart world started acting against him. After he left Rias' universe he once again came to where he was now, but this time he failed his tribulation and lost his path to continue onward. The system told him to commit suicide to tell to true body to send another avatar and continue as planned, but the demonheart world gave Chojusen a way out, it presented him with a gap through the zone of nihility.

He took the demonheart world's side to see what would happen and was confronted with a life a perfection in one of the various small galaxies called Chaosworlds. Millions of years passed and he was reunited with the true body, which had abandoned him after a couple thousand years passed with no new information.

However, the true body didn't kill him and some of his lovers actually chose to stay with him and comfort him until his lifespan ended; obviously, this was a design of the demonheart world to entrap Chojusen into staying in this world and summoning to the destruction of his Dao Heart.

These designs were determined by what a cultivator would fear the most — their heart demons — and would capitalize on all of them, if possible. What fate could be worse for an avatar than losing a path forward and being abandoned by the true body? Wouldn't the avatar want nothing more than to be with his loved ones until the end of time, if that were the case?

Unfortunately, the demonheart world, couldn't see that Chojusen and his avatars had a certain understanding of each other, that death and abandonment were hardly an issue. This avatar that was the the tribulation right now, was already prepared for complete annihilation if anything were to happen, because it knew that the system would just relay the information regarding his death to the true body.

As for being abandoned? He was an avatar. Every moment he and the true body appeared in the same plane, they would understand each other completely. Would the true body really just abandon him? Why wouldn't it just absorb him back?

The Demonheart Tribulation might have worked, if his Dao Heart wasn't able to see through all these false illusions and his understanding of his true body, system, and partners weren't so deep. Chojusen drew the line when the demonheart world actually tried to imitate his lovers. He looked at their smiling faces, but could detect a black illusionary cloak showing their true forms being nothing more than demonheart energy.

Chojusen gave a snort and the demonheart world shattered into pieces. Chojusen found that when his emotions had been riled up and his Dao Heart flared into action, a new and arcane energy was activated. He would look up what this was later, as right now, he was waking up in the real world.

Chojusen woke up and about a year had passed in the outside world. He could feel the Chaos/Nihility Turtlesnake within his Dantian finally give out from the pressure and instability and a pristine and perfectly round egg shaped golden mass appeared in its place. This "Golden Egg" or Jindan absorbed everything that remained from the turtlesnake and synchronized the fusion between the soul and the body even further.

Chojusen needed a truly ridiculous amount of energy to satisfy his Jindan's absurd requests for energy and eventually had to resort to using both the Nihility around him and the energy from the rest of his Dantian to complete its formation. He emptied out his reserves and even consumed a territory of hundreds of millions of kilometers of nihility just to barely finish completing the Jindan formation. As for his divine body, It took the Dao of Nihility as its core and took in an even more ridiculous territory of Billions of kilometers of nihility just to complete.

Now, Chojusen's Status Diverged a bit as his Ki Refining — or just Ki — said he was at the Celestial Immortal Level, while his Body Refining — or just Divine Energy — said he was at the Empyrean God Level.
