Horror. That was the only thing that permeated the minds of Ravens residents. Among them was Young James as he stood petrified at the scene that had his heart shivering and his mind on the brink of collapse. Gloomy black clouds surrounded the town as if it offered the safety of protection. However, James very well knew those dreadful clouds were not there for protection but rather to detain them. The Sheep they were and the Monsters about to enter.
An enormous pitch black door that had paintings on it stood tall at the centre of town, Paintings that James did not dare describe. Crimson red flames existed as the outline of the door. Upon seeing such a grand entry, one would feel awe however what would fill the hearts of a person upon witnessing this door was pure terror. Thousands of Monsters stepped out of the large door. These Monsters spared no time as the instant they stepped in Raven, carnage introduced itself to the residents of Raven, and it had no time for a warm greeting.
Its greetings came in the form of a cold, and bloody screams filled the once boisterous and lively town. James quickly got out of his trance and ran towards the closest building which was the town library. As James sprinted with all his might towards the building, he tripped not on a pebble or an untied shoelace but rather a body, one that he knew. His mother lay in front of him not alive but dead. Her body had been burnt, and a scream of anguish escaped young James throat. A wrong decision. A dozen Red eyes looked at his direction, his cry serving as the reason. These monsters all approached but triggered no response from James as he was not the James who had his mind on the brink of collapse but rather broken James.

Lucian had reached the outskirts of the town only to see a wall of black clouds blockading his way, Upon seeing it Lucian instantly used one of the Eighteen Powerful Spells his repertoire, This spell was called the Void Bridge. Lucian started chanting for the spell and called out: "I ask advice from the supreme will of the world. Heed my call and obey my commands, space and time."
Lucian disappeared from the location he was standing in the first place and appeared in the middle of the town. The first thing his eyes captured upon entering the town was a couple of hell beasts or more specifically minotaurs chewing on a burnt body and an unrecognisable body. The minotaurs were merely at the level of a fifth-ranked Acolyte so picking up a sword from the floor and imbuing it with a bit of Dark energy Lucian took quick care of the minotaurs and ran towards the place where he felt the sense of danger.
While running Lucian looked at the massive door of hell that was in the middle of town and instantly was able to tell that hell beasts were invading the town due to him and that he needed to take care of this fast.
As Lucian reached the source of the threat he felt which was the pitch black hell door, he saw a burly man that was standing at the middle of the door fighting off thousands of hell beasts or instead slaughtering them as he quickly took care of the hell beasts killing them in the hundreds.
Lucian instantly recognised this man as the Chief knight Laxlow and one of the only two people at the level of an official mage. Not only that he was known to be a warrior mage, a powerful branch of mages. Among mages, they were the most fierce and known for using their physical bodies which were engaged by magic.
As the man kept on killing them, Lucian instantly hid in a small building so as for him not to be seen by the Chief knight Laxlow. After all, he felt a sense of danger approaching by the second towards and if someone else was going to care of for him why the hell would he put himself in danger.
Lucian's gut feeling soon became true as an overbearing aura walked out of the pitch black door. The aura was disgusting as Lucian could instantly feel that it emanated of rot and gore.
Peeking out of the small building Lucian could see that the monster and the Chief knight were in a tense fight, but the knight was on the losing side and being exhausted it was only a matter of time before he fell.
Upon seeing this Lucian knew he had to help as he too would die if the chief knight were defeated.
Lucian cast a small spell that he learned from the old man. The spell was known as Aura disguising and allowed to do what it said which was hiding his aura.
Lucian silently cast the spell and when out of the building. There were no more monsters coming out of the door and seeing this Lucian breathed a small sigh of relief as he slowly got out of the building and sneaked towards the beast which Lucian now could see was a Minotaur King.
He silently cast one of the Eighteen Powerful Spells in his repertoire. This spell was known as Herald of Heaven, and as it was of the light element, it was known to have a substantial impact of damage on beasts of hell.
The beast was much stronger than Lucian as it was a Grand Beast. (equal to an official mage. Read the glossary if you need to know.)
However, Lucian was not trying to fight the monster as he believed as long as he could put damage on the Minotaur King the experienced warrior Laxlow would deliver the final blow to the monstrous creature.
When Lucian was precisely behind the Minotaur King, he saw that the knight discovered him and Lucian put the finger on his mouth. The knight instantly figured out what I was about to do and started to attack the monster to distract it fiercely. I lifted my Palm and prayed for whatever dirty there was for this to work.
"Herald of Heaven"
The spell instantly generated a tremendous amount of light energy as it hit the back of the no the Minotaur King. A loud roar escaped its mouth and as it was distracted the knight seemed to have been casting his spell as a sword of light cut the monster in half.
Lucian breathed a sigh of relief once more but quickly that sense of relief was gone as he now had revealed himself to the public of the town.
