The banquet continued as planned, and Tria had met every single guest individually, she had even had a sit down with Nala Ashir.
"Sister, I am so sorry Mother had done such horrible things to you, and I didn't know any better. They had always reminded me that I would be an empress and that you didn't matter, they were so wrong," Nala said to her.
"Nala, you don't have to say such things, I know you still hope I wasn't in the way of your future, and now I am just an opponent you can't afford to have right? Not long ago, did you not just try to be with my husband right in front of me, or was that what your mother wanted for you too?"
"No, that was me..." Nala said, looking down embarrassingly.
"Good, you didn't lie, there's hope for you. I have no enmity with you, and your future is not over. "
With that said, Tria stood up and moved on the next guest and the next. She had shown them a completely different side from the person she was earlier, and the guests could understand, such people shouldn't be parents, they saw no wrong in her actions against them.
"I was very surprised to find out you were the priestess, it was my good luck to have met you, and save my son," said Prime Minister Jafnaor to Tria.
"And it was my bad luck to have not met you sooner," added Adi grinning from ear to ear.
"Hahaha, sure sure, thank you both for coming," said Tria.
She had also thanked the merpeople for coming.
"Princess Esmak, thank you for coming forward in my defense, I truly appreciate," Tria said clasping the princess's hands.
"Oh priestess, the debt my people owe you will never be paid off in this lifetime, this was a simple gesture, thank you for inviting us. It's not often we get to see the land people dramatic life, it was very satisfying to see you get your own justice, strong and independent indeed, you have made the ancient priestesses proud," Princess Esmak truly felt that way, because the ancient priestess were cowards compared to Tria.
"You flatter me, I was simply standing up for myself, and making a point. You are the true leader, who will make the perfect queen, please be safe in your way back."
Princess Esmak smiled at Tria's words, and not after had left with her people, they could stay for long and had to return to their kingdom.
The room was full of chatter and laughter, those who did not know the full story had gotten updated and felt that Tria had been too lenient towards Ra. Not too mention, how he had killed two royal sons, and yet the emperor didn't act against him, someone had to.
The people who had come had come all had requests, and it was mostly concerning their health and cultivation. Tria had tended to them all for free, she did not accept any of their gifts. When it was time for them to leave, they had all left quite satisfied, it really was not a waste to have traveled so far.
The only people left in the royal hall in the end were the emperor, empress, and their children. Lord Aten and Mgor, Crei, Tria, and her guardians.
