Tria had already left the treehouse and was about to go into her carriage along with Crei and Mexi. However, they were stopped before even going in.
"Hey, you! I knew someone would come sooner or later, are you the one building that big castle over there?"
Tria turned to look and saw a group of three young men approaching them and hearing their question, she realized that they must have been waiting for people going in and out of the prime minister's house. Prime minister Jafnaor did say that those people had already come multiple times.
However, camping outside his house and stopping people was too overbearing, she thought. She scanned their looks, they had golden hair and bronzed skin so she knew they were from the Sun Land, but she did not know who they were.
"Can I help you?" she coldly asked.
"Yes, you can help by answering the question! Hahaha," said one of them while laughing.
"….."
Tria's group just emotionlessly started at the three, as if they were stupid.
"Ahem…so, are you, or not?"
"Husband, let's go," Tria ignored them and turned around to place her hand in Crei's as she went up the carriage.
The one who spoke before was stunned, realizing that he was just ignored, he became upset and did not let things go like that.
"Did she just ignore us?"
"She did!"
"Just because she was a little pretty I was being nice to her, but who does she think she is? Brothers, drag her down!"
The other two were about to force their way into the carriage to get to Tria, but somehow, as soon as they started moving they fell onto their knees, shaking. Fear took over them as everything went black and all they could see was a pair of red eyes staring at them, digging into the depth of their souls and painfully dragging out their hidden fears, one by one. Facing their own nightmares that they were afraid of, was so petrifying that they started screaming and scratching their heads to make it stop.
Unknown to them, what they were experiencing could only be seen by them, the third one of their group who gave the order was at a loss at what was happening and fell back on his butt. Scared, he just ran and left his friends behind.
At this time, Tria's carriage had already driven off into the distance, but not far from the scene, in a secluded corner, was Chukah in his jackal form. He had been following Tria all along, after all, he was her guardian, how could he let anyone trying to hurt her get near?
Returning back to his human form, he disappeared into the darkness.
- Somewhere on the other side of town-
"Young Mistress! Young Mistress! Something bad has happened!"
In a room decorated with various flowers was a young lady tending to a flower plant that would curl back at the touch. Interrupted by the huffing and puffing of Zaac, she stopped and pushed the plant away in disinterest.
"What is it Zaac, have you found who it is that owns that land?"
"I think I did...but she…I think she did something to Zaic and Zhem…they…they just collapsed on the ground and started screaming for no reason… I don't know what she did…she…she w-
"Nonsense!!! What is this you're saying? I sent you to find the owner of that land, but what is all this gibberish?"
"Young Mistress, I….I don't think she'll be willing to sell," said Zaac, since the young mistress did not believe his story.
She was after all the only daughter of one of the richest merchants on the land, Ron Mar. Her name was Reille Mar, she was born wealthy, everything she wanted she was able to get, at any cost necessary.
Back in the capital of the Sun Land, she was known for being greedy, unreasonable, and no self-restraint. Reille would even take belongings from the commoners forcefully, as long as she liked something, she would have it. If it was not for the fact that her father's wealth contributed to the Land's economy, she would have long been shunned away.
"Zaac, you said 'she', the owner is a woman?"
"Yes, young mistress, she is a young lady with golden hair, so she is also from the Sun Land."
"Interesting, well then that should make it easier, go summon Zebri and go there with him, since you said she was so powerful that even three grown men couldn't handle her, Zebri should be able to."
"Yes, young mistress," answered Zaac politely, although he wanted to tell her that he wasn't sure if it was her who was behind the outcome of Zaic and Zhem, he knew how Reille's personality is, anything additional coming out of his mouth could forfeit his life.
Zaac left, and Reille went back to play with the same flower plant from before. She looked out of the window towards the dark mountain range and grinning to herself.
"I wonder if I should color it all in pink?" she murmured to herself, fantasizing about her plan with 'her' castle, once it was hers.
