Chapter 52 - First Snow (2)

Martial Assassins found out their spot but this time they would not back down. Henan reached on a high tree.

Wan Hu and her guards engaged in head-on battle, their swords clashed with abnormal speed. it was not easy to injure them because they were wearing leather covers.

Guards were fighting like it was their life battle.

An arrow thurst in one of the Martial Assassin, his laughter echoed out loud, "These small needles would not harm me" saying this he pulled out the arrow which broke in half. Henan shifted her position immediately.

When Martial Assassin was trapped in Red-belt territory, they were twenty in number but when they got free and fought with the members of Red-belt and were chased away, they were left fifteen and this number match with Henan and co. including Henan, Prince, and guards, they were also fifteen in numbers.

This first arrow which Henan shot was to confirm her suspicion, now that she had confirmed, she would not waste her arrows raining on their bodies and most of all, she had limited stalk of arrows with her.

Wan Hu was coping with two assassins, and he had received minor injuries too.

Henan fixed her target on one of them. she wanted to shot three arrows in one go and hit single point to make it fatal for an assassin.

She aimed the neck. Both assassins had worked proper formation to dispatch Wan Hu which they thought the strongest rival for them.

Wan Hu, on the other hand, was having some difficulty too.

Three arrows were shot and the assassin who was ready to stab Prince, stuck three arrows in his neck and he fell suddenly, other one did not panic instead he shouted to others to look guard on random arrows.

A guard of Henan was severely injured and was on death by any moment because the assassin ruthlessly maimed his one arm and a sword was about to touch his neck that two arrows stuck and he fell with a scream.

He fell because he was really enjoying his brutal actions and caught off guard of the arrows.

Wan Hu finished the assassin who was fighting with him from start.

they were barely keeping their head-on because both sides suffered loose.

Few more guards got seriously injured and one of them died, Henan could only hit two more assassins, another was killed by a guard.

It was no more on equal footing, Wan Hu got furious and charge straight with his final moves which his master taught at his last stay in the palace.

These moves were sharp and invisible Wan Hu kept the fastest speed to execute, currently, he was giving a tough time to four assassins, furious move and three necks were drawn a line of blood and three assassins fell.

Guards were also bravely fighting but their own conditions were not good.

The arrows those shot at assassins, they dodged during their fight.

Henan was short of arrows, she chooses to jump down and face these assassins.

she put her hand on her waist to pull out dagger but she remembered that she gifted her dagger to Xue Ren.

Without dagger how was she going to do it then? seeing the sight down, she had no way to keep back, her guard was facing an assassin and it was determined that he would lose his life, she disjointed the string of crossbow and fell on the shoulders of an assassin, she wrapped the string around his neck within incense second and pull short.

Though he raised his hands to smash Henan on the ground, Henan was little faster she jumped from his shoulders before his fall.

Seeing this remaining five assassins were horrified, they run in fright and disappeared in thick forest.

Three guards were dead, four were heavily injured, Wan Hu received some minor injuries, slowly snow was hardening the dead bodies.

Injuries were sharpening.

Henan looked this sight and lost her valor to advance forward.

They had bout some healing herbs back then she couldn't stop her tears looking at the severe wounds, Wan Hu was helping, guards who were better in conditions started to dig holes for their three brothers who lost lives.

The atmosphere was much gloomy, if they had faced some random bandits, it was impossible for her guards to lose, then who were these men and why they were after her, this question pounded within her mind.

The gloomy expression on the face of Prince was something else when he said that they should continue the journey, what he meant at that time, did he know that someone was after them, her mind was messed with these thoughts.

Wan Hu ran to arrange some wooden sticks and start a fire because continuous fall of Snow would be dangerous for the alive.
