Chapter 78 - Ark 10: Choice part 4

Morgana began to smile as the pups started to grow and age before her. She then felt a sharp pain as her barrier was being attacked. Morgana turned to see what was going on when she saw Kyle chanting something. Fenrir opened her eyes to see Morgana looking younger.

'What?' Fenrir looked at he pups, now fully grown, 'How? Morgana, what is going on?'

Morgana turned to Fenrir as she snarled at her. "Nothing really, just that you and your pups are going—" The barrier tore down Morgana whipped her head to Kyle and Hunter. "That's not possible? How did you tare my barrier down so fast?! Only Alli could break my spells!"

Kyle huffed as he looked at her, Hunter walked forward. "Who cares? Right now, you are going to pay for your trickery Morgana!"

Morgana growled as she pulled out her staff, "You'll pay for this!"

Fenrir tried to move but could not. Morgana began to cast a spell, Fenrir turned to Hunter. 'Run boy!' Fenrir called out but was too late. Morgana's spell shot towards Hunter. 'No!'

Hunter smiled as Kyle shot an arrow towards the spell. Kyle walked up beside Hunter, "Thank the heavens my mother taught me that trick, or else we would be dead."

Hunter nodded as he stared at Morgana, she took a step back as she smiled. Hunter pointed his sword at her. "This ends here Morgana, your thousand-year terror ends here and now!"

Fenrir stared at Hunter, 'What do you mean by a thousand-year terror?'

Morgana began to laugh, "My oh, my. So, you two figured it out? Just who are you two then?"

Hunter lowered his sword. "I am Hunter, a clone from the Faremin Kingdom."

"And I am Kyle Featherwind, son of Alli, the Immortal."

Morgana's glee turned into disgust as Kyle mentioned his mother's name. "So, that's how you broke through so quickly. That wrench had a child, and taught it all her trick's, huh?"

Kyle drew his bow back as Hunter readied himself to attack her. "That's enough out of you, Morgana."

She turned to Hunter. "And you? You are a clone, a meagre copy of the original. You are nothing but a weakling that needs to disappear from this world!" Morgana flung another spell towards them.

Kyle launched his arrow as Hunter charged forward. Morgana stopped Hunter as he charged her, but Kyles shot another arrow. She easily deflected it as she launched Hunter back. Morgana began to smile as she saw how weak they were to her power. Hunter got back up and looked over at Fenrir and the pups. Morgana stepped in front as if she knew what he was thinking.

"Now, now, we shall leave them out of this. Besides, the Villagers are unaware of what is going on. The two of you versus me and all those useless pawns. How quaint to think you two could beat me?" Morgana gloated.

Hunter smiled as he shifted his weight, ready to strike. "We will see Morgana?"

Kyle drew his bow once more and fired, Hunter, rushed forward once again, this time he headed away from Morgana. Morgana began to focus on Hunter when Kyle's arrow flew by her face. Turning her attention to Kyle. Kyle smiled as he shot another arrow before moving in the opposite direction of Hunter, keeping her attention on him.

Hunter moved over to the pedestal, where Morgana was focusing her magic. Hunter Looked over the stand seeing if there was a way to free Fenrir and her pups from Morgana's spell. He found nothing and slammed the pedestal. A jewel on the pedestal began to glow as Fenrir became free with her pups.

Morgana turned to see the stone activate. "No! That's not possible. Only someone of the Inroar royal family could activate that!"

Hunter covered his eye's as the gems glow intensified. Markings appeared on his upper arm as Fenrir Howled at her freedom. At the same time, Freya came back with the villagers. They were armed and ready to strike.

Morgana backed up. "No, no, this cannot be? How, How did this happen?"

Freya stepped forward. "It's because you are not aware of what would happen if outsiders would do once, they came here? Besides, Kyle had given me a stone that helped with getting everyone on our side, not yours!"

Morgana went cast a spell but could not; her power was diminishing. Morgana looked around her to see that she was losing. She then looked at her hands, and they began to grow wrinkled and stiff. Terror filled her eyes as Hunter walked over to her.

"This ends here, Morgana. You lost to two traitors of the Faremin forces and to your own undoing." Hunter pointed his sword at her. "Either leave or die? Your choice?"

Morgana stepped back, "No, I will not lose!"

She charged at Hunter but turned to dust before she could. The villagers stood in shock as Fenrir walked over to Hunter.

'Thank you, Hunter.'

Hunter looked up at Fenrir, "I think that's the first time you have called me by my name and not boy?"

Hunter and Fenrir laughed as Freya ran up to him, giving him a huge hug. Ella pushed her way through the crowd and ran to Fenrir. Ella cried her eyes out as she gripped Fenrir's fur. The young pups walked up to Ella and nuzzled her.

Ella looked up at them. "Skoll? Hati?"

'Yes, it is us, Ella.'

'We thank you for protecting us when our bodies were young. We have to know about this the whole time but did not have the power to do anything. I am glad you and the rest of your village are now safe, thanks to Hunter Krisnik.'

Hunter raises his brow at them. "Ella, are they talking to you?"

Ella nodded. "Yes, but what are we going to do now that this is all over?"

The village chief walked up to her. "I think we can survive. And begin to live our lives properly now that witch is gone." He turned to Hunter. "Thank you for your help, both you and your friend are welcome back."

Hunter nodded at him while Kyle walked up. "Thank you, and I wish for the best in your newfound time. I know its not the period you're from, but I hope you and your people survive?"

"Here," Kyle handed the chief a stone, "This stone will cause for the mist to cover the forest. It will protect you from outsiders that wish to do harm to this forest and its inhabitants. Just so that you don't get roped in like I did with the Faremin forces."

The chief took the stone and thanked them. Before walking off to the rest of his people. Hunter stared at them and seeing what he had done. He felt something he has never felt before, joy. Kyle touched his shoulder as they made their way back to Freya's place. The next morning they gathered their things and were guided to the forest edge.

Ella stood by Freya as they handed Hunter a necklace. "Here, Hunter, I know it's a little tacky, but we wanted to give this to you as a thank you for freeing us."

Hunter took the necklace, "Thank you, both of you. I will treasure it as a reminder of the first time I was able to something right for a change." Freya blushed at his words.

"So, this is goodbye, then?" Silver asked.

Kyle shook his head, "No, this is not goodbye, but until the next time, we meet."

Silver smiled, "I hope by then, Hunter will have grown even more." Kyle grew dark, "Kyle, what is it?"

Kyle leaned close to her ear. "If anything happens to me, please seek out Hunter and do what you can in my place."

Silver was confused by Kyle's words. "What do you mean?"

Kyle shook his head as he turned to Hunter. "I cannot say, but I know I have forgotten something important, but at the same time, it's like I know I will not be around long either. It's like a feeling, I cannot explain it any other way even if I tried."

Silver sighed as she gripped his shoulder. "Very well, I will do that. Now you two should get going. You have to be somewhere, right?"

Kyle smiled as he and Hunter walked off.
