Then morning grew long as Hunter watched Freya do her daily chores, and Ella walked off with the pup's to take care of them. He recalled what Freya had said after he told her and Kyle what Fenrir had told him. Hunter sulked under the tree, feeling as if he could not do anything to help.
A hand touched his shoulder, Hunter looked up to see a woman with silver hair, dark skin and amber eyes standing beside him. "Need someone to talk to?"
Hunter stared at the woman, "Yes, but who are you?"
She chuckled, "Believe it or not, I'm Silver, the Dymo wolf you met yesterday."
Hunter blankly stared at her as she sat beside him. "How—?"
"Its because my father was an elemental wolf monster. Rarely his kind turns into humans. Since we have the power to do so." Silver leaned her head against the tree, looking up at the mist. "My father was someone I looked up to and want inspire to be like."
"What was he like?"
Silver curled herself up as she smiled, "Well—you know, I will tell you a story about him. It was about six or four years ago when a man and two young men stumbled into the forest. The man was trying to kill the two as they were trying to bring him in. One of the young men was cold and detached while the other was well…energetic. My father stepped in to help the two young men and caught and kill the man before he could do any more damage. The two never saw him do it, but he said that they might have seen him in the distance. My father protected everyone until he died two years ago, shortly before Freya and Ella were exiled."
Hunter's mind raced as he recalled the incident. "Silver, did your father have silver fur like you and have a scar on the back of his head?"
Silver raised her brow, "Yeah, is a birth defect, I have the exact same one in the same place as him? Why?"
Hunter stood up, "Fenrir, your mother, said that a thousand years from now, you'd help us."
"Okay?"
"But I think it was your father, you see two years ago Kyle and I were hunting down a traitor and came to a mist-covered forest. Kyle was about to be attacked, then a silver stream rushed by killing the man for us. We both notice the beast walking away, and it had a scar on the back of its neck and had silver fur."
Silver's eye's opened wide, "Wait, are you say that you and Kyle have seen my father and that a thousand years have passed already?"
Hunter nodded. "But I would why the people don't remember, or anything of the sort?"
"Freya walked up to them, "Hey Hunter, who's this?"
Hunter looked up at Freya, "Oh, this is Silver, the same wolf from yesterday."
"W-wait what?"
"Yup, that's me."
"Freya, I need you to take me to the village chief, Morgana," Hunter asked.
Freya raised her brow, "Who's Morgana?"
Hunter looked to Silver, "The old hag, what goes to my mother for guidance?"
Freya looked at them in confusion. "There is no one in the village named Morgana. SO, I have no idea who you are talking about?"
Hunter froze; he remembered Morgana talking to Fenrir and that she was from the village. He began to think. "Freya, how long ago did you and your sister get exiled?"
Freya sighed at his question. "Two weeks ago, why?"
Hunter rushed past her; Silver followed right behind him. Silver turned into a wolf, and Hunter jumped onto her back. They raced to the place where it all took place, the shrine of the dark one.
When they reached the ruins, they saw an old woman doing something. Fenrir and the pups were at the base. Hunter rushed in with his sword in hand. Silver rushed after him when he flung back from some sort of barrier. Blocking his attack.
Silver reached him and lifted him up. He looked at his sword, it was chard from the barrier. Hunter looked over to see the old woman was actually a young sorceress. He recognized her as Morgana, the great enchantress.
"No way, that can't be possible?"
Silver looked at Morgana then back to Hunter, "You know her?"
Hunter nodded, "Yes, she was—is Morgana. She was the Fifth seat of the Faremin council over a thousand years ago."
Silver turned to see her, "Wait, then that means she has been pulling the string with Ella and the whole village?"
Hunter glared at Morgana, "No, she is responsible for the whole forest and time loop magic. I think she uses the shrine as a ritual location to preform age reversal magic, killing a child to reverser her age and maintain the barrier around the forest."
Kyle ran up with Freya and Ella right behind him.
"Hunter!"
Hunter looked over to see them, "Kyle? How did you find me?"
Freya walked up to him, "Ella showed us the way. When I told Kyle, what happened, we asked Ella to guide us here. What's going on?"
Hunter turned to Silver, "Well, to put it bluntly, you and your village are in a time loop done by an evil enchantress, named Morgana. She uses children as a means to keep up her age, and this time looping mist."
"And has been going on for over a thousand years. She erased everyone's memories and manipulated them so that it seemed that everyone knows her."
Freya's fell to her knees in shock, Ella looked over to her sister as she stood in shock. Kyle looked at Hunter's sword. "I am guessing brute force will not work then?"
Hunter nodded as he got up. "DO you think you can dispel the barrier?"
Kyle looked at the barrier, "Yes, but she is too powerful to defeat by ourselves."
Silver touched Kyle's shoulder. "I will go to the village with Freya and Ella and tell them the truth and what Morgana plans on doing to my mother and younger siblings. Hopefully, they rally up to help."
Kyle snapped his fingers. "That's right, Morgana gains power throw love and acknowledgment. If the villagers ask to use this stone," Kyle pulled out a milky white stone that seemed to glow slightly, "Just ask them to say a villager's name, and they will appear in the stone. Since Morgana is the one pulling strings, she should not show up if they don't have a real memory before any spell was cast on them."
Silver nodded as she brought Freya and Ella back to reality. Kyle then turned to the barrier and began chanting, Hunter stepped behind him, readying himself for the moment he could strike.
