Kyle's eye lit up as Vail grinned, "Kito!" Kyle ran up to his brother, squeezing him tight.
Vail winced as he hugged his little brother back. "Good to see you to Kyle." Kito pulled Kyle back, "So, how are our parents?"
Kyle stepped back as he looked away, "Their fine but things are not the same since you left."
Kito sighed as he pulled a chair over, "Well, at least they are alive, anyway, what did they tell you about their…past?"
Kyle sat down on his bed. "Not much, I found out that mom was a part of the army just like you and—well soon—myself. Dad told me that you will not contact him." Kyle looked at Kito. "And—well—that you are going to betray the family soon?"
Kito sighed, "I thought he would think that, but as you can see, I made it to the top in the past eight years, and now its harder to stay hidden." Kito shook his head in frustration. "Azoth and I are the only ones who are not truly loyal—sorry I meant to say, Terrance."
Kyle raised his brow. "Who's Terrance?"
Kito went to answer when he noticed the time. "Sorry, cadet, but we will talk another time. I must report somewhere in ten."
Kito got up, Kyle knowing that Kito had to play his part and that he would have to learn his place amongst the others to get closer and figure out what wrong with his own home. Kyle watched his brother leave. Kyle turned to the window. He needed to get some fresh air and slipped out, walking across the thin edges that lined the third-floor windows. He saw Kito walking towards the teacher's hall with a dark-haired man. Kyle decides to see what was going on and slipped through the shadows. AS Kyle drew closer, he could hear voices coming from an open window. He crept closer to listen to what they were saying.
"Kito, you know that my father's spell is getting worse with each passing year and who knows when I cannot retake my own body."
Kyle figured the voice he heard was the dark hair man he saw with Kito as he listened. "Terrance, you know that I trust you and that I am here even if your old allies are not. Besides things are getting hairy—"
Kyle noticed his brother's voice cut short and felt uneasy as a hand grabbed him and pulled him into the room. Kyle stared as Kito stood in shock, Terrance sighed as he looked at Kito. "We have a little rat, and now we have—"
"Wait, I am on your side." Kyle cut him off, fearing for his life.
Kito touched Terrance's shoulder. "He is, and he's my little brother."
Terrance looked at Kyle and Kito several times. "He looks nothing like you?"
Kito sighed, "I took after my mothers' side more than him." He looked at Kyle, "Now, why are you here, and how did you get here?"
Kyle sat on his knees, not making eye contact with them. "I—I walked along the edges of the windows and walked over here. I saw you, Kito—I mean master Vail." Kyle trying to train himself to call his brother by his new name. "and was curious of who you were with and seeing what was going on within the—"
"What the faremin forces are truly like?" Terrance interrupted. Kyle nodded, Terrance looked at Kito, "Well, I can tell you this, they are not good people. Even though many joins, they find out that Demora, my father," Terrance's voice gravelled, "Is killing the goddess for something she had no hand in and that a miss understanding occurred over six million years ago."
Kyle snapped his gaze at Terrance, "Wait six million years?"
"Yes," Kito answered. "Terrance family on his mothers' side has been fighting him in all that time, but things are not going well," He looked at Terrance, Kito's eyes filled with pain. "With the death of Terrance's' late son and the cloning of his son, the HU-NT series, as well as him trying to help the other kingdoms when he has control to stop Demora. IT has been hell."
Terrance began to keel over in pain; Kito ran to his side. "What's going on—"
"Kyle gets out, Terrance is losing control, and to protect you till the right time you need to leave." Kyle hesitantly got up, Kito looking at Terrance, "NOW!" Kyle scurried to the window and left as his brother's voice snapped.
Kyle made it halfway to his dorm as he looked back. He saw Terrance's face in the light, it was stern and cold. Kyle swallowed hard, thinking that if he didn't get out, he might have been killed. AS he entered his room, he felt out of place and yet confused if Kyle was meant to be where he was in life and looked out to the night sky.
"What am I supposed to do, and why does life lead me here to this point in time?" Kyle questioning his life actions.
"Every action we make can influence the future, yours is more complicated than you initially think Young Kyle Longfeather." Kyle jumped to see who was behind him, he could not see anyone. "Hahaha, sorry about that, but you have not earned my trust yet."
Kyle looked around to see where the voice was coming from. "Who are you?"
"The God of time, Lork, pleasure." Kyle felt his breath along his neck, "Now I have looked into the future for you, and I have to say you will play a huge part in saving this world from Terrance Wolf the first, or Lord Demora?"
Kyle felt a chill as he stepped back, "And what's that?" Lork showed himself leaning into Kyle's ear and whispered his future to him. Kyle's eyes widened. "No, you're lying!"
Lork floated back, "I wish I was, but if this does not happen, the world will—well—cease to exist." Kyle feel onto his bed, "Look it might be hard to swallow—"
"I'll follow the path laid out for me even if it costs me my life." Kyle's voice stern as he looked at Lork, "No matter what I will help out Lovell and make sure that Demora does not get him."
