Chapter 88 - Disaster

" Tony can you help mom and Lana too. You just boasted how well you understand women." - Carefully began Greg. But a friend immediately caught a strange note in his voice.

" Are you trying to get rid of me?" - Asked Tony suspiciously, peering into Greg's face, who tried to portray complete indifference on his face. Greg shrugged.

" No, where did this come from? I'm just worried about Lana. Who knows, maybe mom is already interrogating her in the kitchen, threatening with a butcher knife." - He said, carefully adjusting his tone.

"So why don't you go after them yourself, if you care so much?" - Anthony narrowed his eyes. Greg immediately grinned.

"I'm afraid of her too, especially in a kitchen full of sharp objects. But you always got along well with my mother. I am sure it will not be difficult for you to lead on their conversation in the right direction." - Greg threw the idea, hoping that Tony, an eternal lover of manipulation and emotional scenes, immediately swallow the bait.

Tony paused for a moment, continuing to scan Greg's face, then abruptly turned his gaze to Frank. This big guy never could hide his emotions well, so he involuntarily averted his eyes to the sides, instantly indicating that he was hiding something.

Noticing this, Tony hesitated, but then exhaled as if giving up and shook his head.

"I think we need to put an end to this. But I am willing to give you time until the evening to discuss everything between yourself, and then we will sit down and talk about all this pill of secrets. I am not going to lose friends because of some fishy stuff. It's too much fun to be with you." - He said in an unusually severe tone and, without waiting for an answer, went to the kitchen.

All three looked at each other.

"I told you it's not him!" - Greg hissed in a half-whisper when Tony was out of sight.

" It proves nothing. He gives the impression of a rather quirky type and for him to pretend that he is absolutely honest is pies of cake." - retorted Brian.

"I think we are talking now about absolutely unnecessary things. Everything will become clear when the moon comes out, and our fluffy fellas appear in all their glory, " - Frank said earnestly.

"What did you call me?" - Immediately started to boil Brian.

" Enough!" - Greg hissed, trying to calm two big guys. - "Brian, I beg you, at least for the sake of Lana and the children, settle your PMS. We are now is in not the most relaxed situation. I understand that it is hard for you now, but ..."

"What can you understand?" - Bryan spat out with contempt, - "You're not even a shifter."

Greg frowned. It was immediately clear from Brian's face that he regretted what he had said. But words cannot be returned.

"Yes, I know that I'm not a werewolf. And if I were, everything would be much simpler. All this blah blah blah I have already heard from Nicky. And you know, I don't give a single f*ck! Maybe your furry ass can add you some strength, but certainly not the brain power, judging by the mess, in which we are now." - Greg said in a quiet, icy tone, starring Brian straight in the eyes. The guy first snarled at first but then backed off.

"Okay, let's go kindle the grill. We chill a little our nerves and discuss how to hide the night adventures of our furry fellows." - Frank said soothingly. Greg and Brian hesitated a bit, but still nodded and headed for the veranda.

In the meantime, the girls had already managed to choose their own rooms and went outside to take a walk around the neighborhood. Risa picked up Vicky's arm, and the three sisters followed them chatting.

"I still cannot believe that Brian Winterborn himself is Ruslana's brother. I often read business magazines, and they write so much about him. They say he is a real financial genius and raised Winter Corp. to an unprecedented level that even his father could not have dreamed of in just four years." - began to speak in awe Rebecca, adjusting the glasses on the nose.

" Firstly, I don't understand why you need to read business magazines. You groom the llamas and sell toys out of their wool!" - Maddy immediately mumbled, not paying attention to her sister's inflamed stare. - "And secondly, the success of a corporation depends not only on one person. There are thousands more talented people under him, and it is their work that pushes the company to new heights, but for some reason; as a result, the cream is collected only at the top. "

"Are you back in some sect again?" - Marina asked suspiciously, making her younger sister blush instantly. Her red cheeks looked very interesting against the background of purple hair.

" Nothing like this. Then I was just wondering how everything could be arranged in a sect, I was hoping there would be orgies, alien worship, or at least brilliant financial pyramids. In the end, they just dug potatoes and made candles. And where is the action, the thrill that stirs the blood? Conspiracies, intrigue, crazy leader-fanatic? So boring!"

"Then what's the problem?" - Risa finally could not stand the suspense. - "Why are you so annoy by Brian?"

Madeleine hesitated but answered.

" Just my boss is an ass! He even looks like your Brian. And his hair is always perfect, stand to stand. As if he puts on a plastic wig every morning. And this his white-toothed smile! It's freaking me out!" - Maddy snarled. The faces of her two sisters from confusion immediately became surprised...

"Maddie, dear, didn't you finally fall in love?" - Rebecca sang over the ear of her younger sister.

"Another one! I feel an approaching zombie apocalypse in the air." - Marina grumbled.

"Is his name Ryan Grand by any chance?" - Rice decided to clarify.

"Exactly! It's him! Disgusting name!" - Cried out Maddie, causing a bout of laughter from the sisters. She was ready to describe all the terrible features of this mysterious man as a small animal ran out of the bushes across the street. Seeing the touring company, the beast froze, staring at the newcomers with its little black eyes.

"God! How lovely!" - Exclaimed Maddie trying to come closer carefully. At that moment, from the veranda, male voices were heard.

Risa turned around in a panic and saw how Greg, Frank, and finally Brian came out one by one. There was real horror on her face. She turned sharply toward the animal. But it was no longer in the same place. Maddy in just a couple of seconds managed to grab the animal and now was clutching it to her, cooing. For some reason, it very obediently allowed her to squeeze himself like a stuffed toy.

"He's so sweet. Animals just adore me!" - happily proclaimed Maddy.

"Drop it! Immediately!" - Risa shouted at her, scaring everyone around with her harsh reaction.

"But ..." - Maddy began, clutching the animal to her.

" Quickly! Damn, it's a disaster! Throw him somewhere far away, " - Risa continued to panic, jumping up to the confused girl.

Apparently, her screams were heard by men. Brian, seeing the panic on the face of his girlfriend, immediately went to them. Risa, noticing this, tried to stop him.

"No, Bri! Don't you dare come closer," - she cried, in a broken voice. This made Brian, on the contrary, only hasten the pace.

"Heck! No! Brian stop this instance! Here the raccoon." - Risa screamed with all her might. The man immediately froze. His face twisted in a grimace of horror. But it was too late.

The beast, seeing a new guest, suddenly grinned, and freeing himself from the girl's embrace with a wild hiss, rushed at Brian. The guy squealed like a girl and ran in the opposite direction, accompanied by shocked glances of others.

"This is such a disaster!" - sadly stated Risa and trotted after him.
