Certain morning.
"Rin wake up it's already morning."
"Yes mom. I already wake up."
I answered my mom while fixing my bed since I already wake up since more than 5 minutes ago. Since today is the first day of school I already prepared to make sure that I don't late for today since I don't know what will happen if I not attend and can't get friend at the school thinking about the 3 years I will go through with eating my lunch all alone and go back from school like a loner make me shiver.
After taking a bath and breakfast that always delicious no matter how many times I eat it I get ready to go to school.
"Mom I will be going now."

My name is Rin without surname , it's weird isn't it even in my birth certificate I don't even have a surname also. Based on my parents story when they married both their parents or my grandparents from both side not accepting their marriage so they not allowed to take both their surname since it embarrassment for both family to have my parents use their surname be it from my father or my mother side either. Thankfully it's not really a hard thing to live without surname since it's not really needed anywhere.
The sun in the morning that crept between the branches is tickling my skin as the morning wind felt quite chilly despite that I still walk with full of energy.
The school is approximately 800 meters or so from my home so I walk there and that's one of the reason I pick this school. As I walk the road that still have only few people around I spot a cat with white fur still sleeping at one of the wall.
"so cute."
"isn't she?"
I startled because I don't expect anyone be around. When I turned back I see an old lady that come out from the gate that along the wall that the cat slept on.
"is that cat yours?"
"Yes she always sleep on the wall like that in the morning she must really like the morning sun."
"How carefree basking on the morning sun without care in this world, sometimes I want to do that too."
"You still young go and do some adventure."
"Being young is not really easy isn't it."

We both laughed for a while and then I say goodbye to the old lady because eventhough I go from home quite early it better to get going soon. Soon I can see the school that I going to attend for the next three years, the school that stand high above the hill , the High-Hill Academy. The name literally come because the school is at top of the hill that quite high, I wonder if the founder want to joke or really can't come up with decent name either.
The hill not too steep so I can easily climb without losing my breath , there's bus stop above the hill that stop around 100 or 200 meters from our school but I prefer walking after all since if I want to ride a bus I might as well go to farther school than this one.
"Finally!"
I finally arrived at the top and I can already see the school gate , I also can see few students that looks like at the same age as me arriving via other side or via bus. I slowly walking while observing the street that have so many trees and it feels really cool when the wind breezing through me.
"Welcome."
As I pass through the gate I startled because someone suddenly call me.
"Ah I'm sorry to startled you like that."
The one stand before me is the one you will call the cool guy type. Without me knowing my face reddened. But when I look down due to embarrassment I see something that don't match. A skirt yes it's a cool guy but with skirt. And while my mind almost short circuited from what I just see.
"Um , excuse me?"
"Ah yes!"
Oh no I not letting a strange sound isn't it.
"I'm from the new student welcoming committee here is the small guide book that you need to take, inside it is the map that show you the school also the way for you to go to the auditorium where the new student will gather together and also there's info about the club that will also do presentation later on oh and also there's the student rules at the end so don't forget to read it."
"Ah, yes , thank you very much."
After I bow slightly and give my thanks I walk as fast as I can to hide my embarrassment. Ah yes I need to go to the auditorium I better check the map. Even though there's other student that seems to go to the auditorium I open the small book from before and by following the map precisely I arrive in front of the auditorium where it seems that there's already people inside be it the new student or old student and also the committee that responsible for the event this morning.
The seat is not arranged except the first year student and the teachers is on the first floor and the second and third year are on the second floor. Since we basically can just seat about anywhere I pic the seat at the very middle since I not like to be on the side part of the formation. There's still few first year student so I pick the place that I think the best spot , I feel like choosing seat for watching movie at theatre now.
As I already pick my seat and sit while being alone here because the number of first year students that arrive until now is not even fifty by my count. When I check my wristwatch it still 30 minutes or so I guess we arrived too early and not the rest of the students that late. Since I not doing anything I open my phone and check my favorite novel site currently I like the shoujo fantasy genre, I somehow already tired with all the isekai genre with a boy that goes to another world and then create harem out of thin air , at least if the protagonist is someone that educated and have high pedigree I can understand but for no apparent reason it must be a neet and somehow they reformed instantly after they arrived at another world, in another side the current trend for shoujo fantasy also isekai but to be specific it mostly reincarnated to otome game, even though the basic is same the protagonist at least a tragic OL or a girl that too talented yet lonely , at least I can touch the reasoning that they been given second chance.

It seems one of my subscribed web novel is updated this one not an isekai fantasy it just a slice of life with slight drama and romance.
"aaaahhh, what a cliffhanger."
The latest chapter end in cliffhanger and the novel have no routine schedule so I can only bear with it while scrolling through another novel to waste time . after i check that the others that I subscribe still have no new chapter I can only sigh and wait patiently after my watch indicate that there's still 15 minutes before the scheduled opening ceremony start.
"Excuse me , is this seat taken?"
As I pondering silently about what will happen in the next chapter suddenly a girl call for me.

What stand there is a girl with beautiful pale blue eyes and black hair that reach her shoulder , this is the second time that I see a beautiful person and I start thinking is this school only accept beautiful human.
"Thank you.My name is Amelia Miller."
"I'm Rin, excuse me if I sound rude but are you a foreigner? Except your eyes everything I see is a local girl."
"Ah yes my dad is a foreigner I got my eyes from him"
"Your eyes really beautiful. Ah sorry…"

Whoa this girl is really cute when she laughing make me want to embrace her. Wait I not some kind of dirty old man I must vanquish this delusion.
It seems Amelia is not from here also and she just follow her mother because her father need to back to his own country to do some work there and Amelia and her mother live here with her grandmother and it seems this is not her father first time go back to his country for work for long term but her mother seems want to move here so she can also take care of her grandmother that gotten quite old.
"Ahem. Attention students the 65th generation welcome ceremony is about to begin please be quiet and stay on your seat. For the first program we will have the current principal Mr.Smith to give some words , To Mr.Principal please."
With the cue from the MC a guy with huge build walk from the backstage while waving his hand to the direction of the students by my estimation he must be around 40 years old his hair that still full of hair and gleaming smile.

While listening to the Principal speech I suddenly got a headache and reflexively hold my head while closing my eyes due to the intense pain. But when I open my eyes not in my wildest dream I expect to see what I see.
