Nothing much happened today at school. It was just a normal day. Well, not after this boy came up to me and punch me to the wall. That changed the whole atmosphere in the hallway. My eyes were locked to the floor as I thought to myself. "Why is everything dragging me down. Every time I try to live a peaceful life, there's always something, just something that sours the flavor. My life is just getting worse by time. I hate this world."
"Hey freak! Get up and face me like a man!"
I raise up my head and looked at him. A challenge. He wants a fight, fist to fist. I really don't want to get myself involved in this mess. It'll only be more complicated. But what can I do? The crowd is just getting larger by now. Rather than telling this bully to stop or reporting it to the teachers, they just watched. I understand why they didn't do anything- this dude won't use his mind when he's angry and the teachers... well, they would just turn a blind eye. It's not really gonna change much of it.
"Hey! You hear me?!"
A voice interrupting my thoughts, awaking me to face back reality. I sighed, I was disappointed. As I get back on my feet I asked, "What do you want from me?" I didn't want to fight, if that was an option.
The mad boy clenched his teeth as his looks tries to stab me. "What do I want from you? Heh, simple. I want to make you think twice before going against me." he claimed ferociously. He clenched his fist, yearning to introduce it with my flesh.
Better I try to comfort him than playing it the hard way. "Was it about yesterday. Well I'm truly sorry if-"
"Enough!" he shouted. "I'm sick with your nonsense. It's time I show you how to shut your mouth."
Well, I tried.
His right arm flies towards me, bringing a fist. My eyes widened with surprise as I dashed to the side and dodged it.
"Argh!" he cried in pain. His fist hit the wall. Now don't blame me for that one. It's not my fault you got yourself injured.
Whew. That was a close one. I wasn't ready yet, but he started the battle without telling me. I get myself back on my feet and slowly open my eyes. I wanted to make a run for it, so I searched for an escape but couldn't; the students were circling at our arena, eager to watch the battle start instead of calming this beast down. Looks like I got no choice, I can only satisfy him and the audience now. 'What a shame' I thought to myself. 'Solving your problems with your emotion rather than with your mind'
I clench my fist, holding it in front of me. The view of my opponent is still visible to my eyes, but the area exposed for my opponent to make an attack was little. As I get myself ready, shouts of the crowd telling us to fight hit my ears like crazy. Again and again did they yell "Fight!" to us. Hearing such cheer made him grin. The approval of these students was fueling his desire to hit me as hard as he can. Now his really pumped up. In my spot I fix my pose knowing that he's getting serious. I must be cautious.
While waiting for him to come closer to me, I console myself. "Okay Drake. Get ready to fight. Keep your eyes wide open and don't lose sight of your opponent."
The boy grinned as he say, "Huh, you think doing a boxer pose will make any difference?! In your dreams!"
"Don't listen to him. Use your mind." I tell myself, pronouncing every words in my heart slowly.
He cracked his fist, trying to fear me for his capability- Heck like that's gonna work. He then said to me, "Let's see what you got, wimp!"
Before he approaches, I tell myself one last time. "And don't you ever dare to change anything about my eyesight."
Long story short, I jinxed myself. My surroundings started to change, one by one. This is what I'm afraid would happen. I sighed before telling myself, "This is gonna be hard."
