Whoosh, just before Ray wanted to jumped off the last roof he slipped instead then landed on the stone ground.
"Ow...," Ray cried as he tried to get up off the hard ground, "I not as careful as I use to hehe." Shortly after he thought to himself, "If I remember correctly south should be straight from the entrance of the temple."
After getting up, he started heading towards the entrance before he headed straight south. Looking at the buildings around him he felt amazed to find such architecture, but right now he could not stand still and apprises because he had to go find some little kid.
The tall Elm trees surrounded the path, shaking with the monstrous winds, and the sound of down pour freaked Ray out. He personally never been in this kind of predicament before and now being scared the crap out.
"HOW F###### FAR IS THE TRAING GOUND FROM HERE!!!," Ray was incredibly annoyed. He did not expect the training grounds be so damn far way. The pouring rain caused his long hair to be soaked and messy to the point he had to make it into a ponytail. Little did he know it's only been 15 minutes jogging, and if he continued at the same pace it would take another 15 minutes.
"I never thought I had to go through so much trouble just to find a little girl!" Ray was almost completely out of breath after running for another 8 minutes. Bent on the ground panting before lifting his head to see a long and wide field coved in grass and rocks.
"Am I really supposed to find a girl here??!!!," Ray felt depressed as ran towards the center to get cover from a tree. "If I was a girl where would I be?" Ray muttered.
He started to think but his head was blank. He wishes he had a map but then again what can a map do in this stupid storm. Finally, he made it to tree, he notice the sun was barely visible because of the clouds. The it was about 6 in the afternoon, so Ray was running out of time.
"How hard is it to find a girl with... white... hair...," Ray was yelling out loud as he slowly walked around the tree and pause between words as he saw someone.
The girl was laying on the ground motionless cuddled in a ball. She was drenched to the point her clothes stick to her skin. Ray was not a person that would go after pretty girls like most people, in fact he is terrified of them because of the drama they cause. What really surprised him was that the girl had Black hair. He never thought he would meet someone with a different hair color again and it made him a bit happy.
"Hehe, the girl actually looks pretty cute, too bad I can't take a picture," he said to himself remembering the good old days, but then passed and realized, "Now what..."
Mi looked fast asleep and Ray did not want to wake her up, but then he started to freak out all the sudden, "Crap is she sick... um breathing ok? ahh how long has she been here!"
Ray hurried right beside her, and first thing he checked was to see if she was even alive. He first thought the girl was just sleeping which she was, but he just wanted to doubled check and listen to her heart. Then, he put this hand on her forehead to see if she has a fever or anything before calming down.
"It seems she has a fever, her head its burning up a little bit," Ray took off his white coat that provided a bit of warmth and wrapped it around Mi. After that, he picked her up and moved her on his back. He carried her legs and wrapped her hands on his neck and started to jog in the rain,
"Even though the girl is a bit older than me she's sure surprisingly light," Ray thought to himself. He had never gotten this close to a girl before, so the feelings were a bit weird. Thinking more about his past, he wished he was more active when he was young, but too bad those days were long behind him now.
Only 20 minutes have past Ray was surprised that he was even able to keep on going, but he started slowing down a little bit. The muddy ground, the once light girl became heavier than a truck, and the stupid rain was not making it easy. He was so happy that he still knew the path back, but eventuality his legs start to give and slow down.
"I don't want to be alone…," a faint voice spoke behind Ray's and he became startled.
The girl was still asleep on his back, but Ray couldn't help but notice how sad the voice sounds. He remembered those days well when he was alone, and whenever he wanted to try to communicate he just stayed silent.
"If I were to meet you in my old life, we probably would have been good friends," Ray chuckled as he trucked on forward.
The rain finally started to die down when Ray reached to the Liang village. He surprisingly did not feel as tired as before and kept on moving. Seeing the huge 8 floored temple he couldn't help but stare at amazement. The village was perfectly symmetrical, and the buildings were a fine work of art.
"We are almost there, don't worry," Ray said to the girl behind him.
