Mi glared at Ray who was at daze thinking how beautiful she looked, but Mi does not know that. She then said, "Why are you trying to get on my good side?"
"What do you mean?" Ray was a bit confused himself. I was just commenting how beautiful your clothes were on you...
"Don't lie to me, everyone here in this stupid village thinks I'm evil, whatever good words you trying to say to me is not even true!" Mi looked as if she was going to have a tantrum and possibly wanting to hurt the person in front of her again.
"What the heck!" Ray screamed inwardly and felt like he just met a stubborn rock.
To Ray's understanding on how girls supposed to behave, he thought back when he was still in his college and high school days, girls were very well... girly? They often do all kinds of stuff like teasing the crap out of guys, talking about fashion, or just getting attention in general but of course not all girls are like that, its just that most were.
After thinking for a while, Ray cursed in his mind, "Why would you even wear something so eye catching but it's not meant for getting attention!!"
Mi was the complete opposite of normal girls he know, so he decided to ask her a question, "Then how do you want others to treat you then?"
"What kind of question is that! Can't you see the color of my hair, its black as the night sky, it symbols death and destruction, it is the enemy of our people, what do you mean what how do I want others to treat me! is there even room for me to have any say!," Mi yelled to the point where there were tears showing in her eyes.
Ray was so confused about what Mi was talking about and so his mind went blank thinking, "Evil? I don't understand what are you talking about..."
After collecting some thoughts Ray then replied, "So you don't want to be normal? I mean in all honesty I don't see you as a monster. All I see is a cute little girl that has an extremely bad temper."
Ray was honest with his words besides the part he called her a little girl, but at the same time it's actually true, well mentally. He does not view the girl different from any other person, after all, we all are still people, right?
Mi finally burst into tears and started to run away. She felt something wrong with Rays words, yet those words were something she always wanted to hear as if she were normal. One thing for sure she still confused why Ray even treated her so friendly.
Meanwhile back by the river, Ray felt like there was something off about this place and the more he thought about it, the more questions that just won't seem to go away. Questions like is there another group of people that was completely opposite in terms of hair and eyes?
Ray now has only been around for two months learning his new life in this village, but during that time he felt the culture here were too similar to the ancient Chinese culture or even Asia. Ray decided not to bother with it too much, but it was something to keep in mind.
Thinking about the girl, Ray felt like he over did his words making the girl cry like that. He knew belonging was something many people sought after because he too been through life hoping to find it. The way she expressed herself, it seemed that she had gone through a rough life and as the saying goes, life is never fair.
Still drenched after being knocked into the river, the weather was hot today, so he decided to take off his cloths not included his undergarments and let them dry. After he was able to wear his cloths again, he headed back to the village.
As he was walking back, he saw his so-called friends running back from the direction they ran away.
"Ray, your alive!!!"
"I really thought you were a goner,"
"Sorry we left ya, we didn't want that Heileran to beat the living crap out of us,"
"She did not do anything to you right?"
...
Ray listen to their nonsense for a bit and started to feel he had black lines on his face, "Does everyone view her this bad..." he thought. "No wonder she was very tense about this subject, everyone really does not like her, and I thought she was lying..."
"You guys are great friends you know," Ray said sarcastically after hearing enough of their annoying mouths.
"Um...." his friends were looking at their feet a bit shamed about how they left him.
"Well I have to do something this afternoon so later guys," Ray said before he left them.
"So, Ray before you go, may you tell us what the demon did to you?" one of his friends asked.
"Nothing much, she just a pretty girl who threw a tantrum," Ray said with a smile, thinking about how the girl was angry. Moments later he just headed home with no one blocking him, but after a while he face palmed and said, "I still don't know that girls name, man I'm an idiot."
While Ray was heading home the guys were so confused on what they been told. Calling a devil in the village pretty... really? No, he must have been forced to act like that. Maybe that Heileren made him beg for his life so she is making him do whatever she wants!
The guys were speculating the situation to the point that Mi might possibly take over the village killing people, if Ray heard what they were talking about he would one hundred percent cough out blood.
It was already the afternoon, Ray was sitting by the window of his room in his home which is at the inner district of the village. Thinking about the old memories of person that once had this body. He couldn't help but notice how nice the person was, but also how huge of a trouble maker too. He compared the himself to the person and saw major differences, but the one that Ray like was the way he communicates with people and being active and lively which was something Ray never did back when he was growing up.
Ray personally did not want to live the way the other guy did but at the same time he does not like how he was in his old life. He thought to himself that his original life was so plain, so blank, so normal, and feels like changing might not be so bad.
Looking outside to see where the sun is, realizing it was already the afternoon, and he hurried outside and headed south to the training grounds again, but this time, he can enjoy the scenery compare to the day that of the storm.

At the training grounds, almost everyone was being punished for leaving early yesterday. Teacher Yuan decided he should let them pick a punishment for themselves. Their choices were to either be paddled 100 times, no eating during the 8 hours of training for a week otherwise be tied up for 10 hours if caught, and lastly a pair tournament within the class.
The tournament one hundred percent sounds like the better option because people don't have to come to training and can do whatever, but only if they were to won first place. The down side is that those that did not make it first place have to come to training every morning around 5 for a month and be paddled 30 times once instead of 100.
No matter what the students did, these punishments cannot be avoided, even their parents agreed to them wholly. The parents believed children these days don't enough experience the hardships and they felt they need to go threw a lot in order to be successful.
Training was mandatory anyway and it is strongly agreed by parents because it help then in the past to learn the basics. Children who don't learn early would end up being useless and to only grow up doing work with their hands which was very tough. Many parents believed that starting late means it is already too late.
The only two people chose to do the 100 paddles and one not eat for 8 hours. Everyone thought the two guys that choose the paddle were crazy, but what they did not know is that they were use too physical punishments growing up so 100 paddles felt like nothing to them, and the girl that decided to not eat was expected because no one has ever saw her eating during training.
In the end the entire class was an enemy to each other for the pair tournament besides Lin and Ling who were eating their lunches since they pardoned by the teacher for the day. Everyone glared at the twin sisters with envy when they were told that those girls followed the rules like angels.
The twin sister's family were strict and everything they did were very straight forward. They were given freedom whenever they do well but, in all honesty, when did they ever do bad.
Mi was sitting in the tree looking down at everyone who were still in chaos, "People are such animals..." As Mi thought to herself she could not help thinking about that guy she knocked into the river and then said, "That idiot," before deciding to take a nap. Today was day where there was no such thing as a friend or a family. But just as things were about to escalate, Teacher Yuan had another announcements.
"The duels will be held in a few hours from now, so you guys might want to practice before it starts, those who decided to not do the tournament follow me in just a moment," just as Yuan was about to leave the class to practice on their own he saw Ray heading towards the class.
"Sorry I'm late, by any chance are you teacher Yuan? I been recommended here to train with your class," Ray said with a respectful manner.
"I was informed that there would be a student joining us, welcome and please introduce yourself to everyone," Yuan said.
Ray stared at the class stayed silent which made the class think Ray was a idiot. Ray did not know what he was supposed to say, after all, he only started this new life a month ago. Besides, he personality didn't like talking in front of a group of people which was his reason of being silent.
Eventually Yuan broke the silence and said. "This is Ray Bai Hong, he will be joining us for class starting today."
The atmosphere eased up and some students started laughing inwardly, "This guy seems so weak, it does not look like he even got the basic in control yet!"
Training started a few months ago and at this point only a few got the basic foundations in control with their hair creation, but many are just getting them to understand how to do it. Judging by Rays appearance, they can tell that Ray's Rai that stored within him is very average meaning it has not been trained.
"Does anyone need a partner?" Yuan asked.
"Nope we all have one," A girl from the class said and then an idea popped into her head, "Mi does not have one, why don't we pair him up with her?!"
Usually girl pair up with girls and guys pair up with guys unless they were close or siblings. The girl wanted to see what reaction that Ray would have when he gets paired up with "demon".
looking at the rest of the class Ray yet again felt something was off, one he was being paired up with a girl, two was everyone seemed to not like her...
Yuan thought that it was a great idea since it was Mi's mother that asked him to take in a new student. Thinking that there was a correlation between them he thought it would be very beneficial for Mi.
"Ok, everyone goes back to practice for the duels, Ray come with me to meet your partner," As Yuan finished speaking the girl who suggested Ray to be pair up with Mi started jumping with joy, she could not wait to see conflict, little did she know Ray already met the girl.
Other students wanted to see Rays reaction, so they followed. Mi was not that far away from the group, after 3 minutes yuan called out her name, "Mi, I gotten you a partner, you better treat him kindly."
Mi awoke from her nap and looked down below her. At first glance she only saw her uncle, but once she got down from her tree her eyes blew up, "Wh... wh... why are you here?"
Ray's eyes also grew from shock before he started laughing, "We meet again? hehe," and then said to himself, "I should have known."
