"... and stop." Jay slowly reduced his pace until the treadmill stilled itself.
"Well, we're done for today, and probably forever too." Veronica smiled and stated.
She had done a complete 180 on him when she had come back from her trip overseas. Although she hadn't explicitly apologized for her previous behavior, she was now treating him fairly well, she even joked sometimes.
Jay chuckled. "You might be done with me, but I'm not done with the center yet."
This startled Veronica, "What do you mean?"
"Well," Jay nonchalantly started "I happen to have full access to your facilities for the next 4 months still, and that includes access to the Olympic Medical Center."
Veronica stared at the young man in front of her. In those two months he had grown 2 inches taller and was now 5"10, a tiny bit taller than her. He had filled up a little and wasn't as scrawny as he used to be, and she had noticed some of the younger girls checking him out when he passed by. She had to admit that he was... cute.
"You want to train? What for?" she asked.
"Do I need a reason for wanting to be fit?" Jay smiled.
"I guess not... But in any case I'll have to notify your guardians first and get their authorizations for-"
"No you don't. My mother would never agree to me staying 4 extra months. If she hears about it, it's a one way ticket for Boston. So don't tell her, you owe me V." he playfully winked at her and left.
Veronica stood there stunned before she yelled, "You brat, who are you calling V?!"
Jay chuckled and without turning around he yelled back, "You're not my doctor anymore, why does it matter?" then left.
The redhead sighed, she really did owe him though...

Jay went back to his room and wasted no time.
"Stats."

Jay had asked the system about the standard average stats, and apparently it was 10 for all of them. Meaning his strength, ability and health were all below averaged and he was very intent on changing that.
"System, max out the healing rate of my body. Also, can you control my growth spurt?"
[Healing rate has been set at 100x faster.]
[Yes host, I can control your growth spurt. Your body will top at 6"4 eventually, I set a gradual process for it and you should gain 3 more inches before school starts.]
"So I'll be a 6 foot tall high school freshman?" Jay chuckled. That was gonna be fun, at least he probably wouldn't get bullied.
In the afternoon, he put on some shorts, sport's sweater and sneakers before heading down to the resort's gym where one the coaches was waiting for him.
David – that was his name – had prepared a training program suited to his needs.
From meals, to stretches, to equipment, everything was provided, it truly was a state of the art institution.
Jay thanked David and went to work, except he modified the training a little; he tripled every sets.
He had come up with this idea when he had realized the system could heal him at a rate visible to the naked eye. Jay would push himself past his limits to the point where his muscles would tear, and the system would heal him. He figured if he kept doing that again and again, his body would undergo a qualitative change.
And so from that day on, from 5:30am to 21pm, he repeated the process every single day. Push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups, lunges, weights, treadmill, boxing, Krav Maga, rope jumping, capoeira, swimming...
Again, and again, he would train.
Until the calluses on his palms would bleed, until his knuckles would tear, until he tasted iron in his mouth.
Relentlessly, like a madman, he trained, well aware that the system would take care of his injuries.
And like that, 4 more months went by.
