When Jay came back to the resort, it was already 8pm.
He asked Frank to get the staff to bring his bags up, and made his way to the restaurant, he was honestly starving.

Veronica Sanders was sitting at the resort's bar, drowning her sorrows. She had bumped into the bastard who had broken her heart, and he had been glued to the hip of another woman. She snorted.
"Hey, give me a refill." she slurred to the bartender.
The man looked at her in worry, it was already the 5th time she was asking for one and she always insisted he filled the glass completely. His eyes stealthily darted to the table on the left.
"Ma..Ma'm I don't think you-" he stuttered in a low voice.
"What are you my nanny? You're a bartender, your job is to pour, not care. Fill it." she abruptly cut him off and the poor man hastily did as he was told.
Veronica was about to down her glass when she heard the hush whispers of several women from the corner.
"Wow, wer ist das?" (Wow, who is that?)
"Ich habe ihn schon einmal gesehen. Er ist ein Patient." (I have seen him before. He is a patient.)
"Schau dir seine Haare an!" (Look at his hair!)
"Er sieht so heiß aus!" (He looks so hot!)
Veronica snorted and not even bothering to look back, she brought her glass to her mouth when a hand grabbed her wrist.
"I think you've had enough, V." she heard a man say and whipped her head to the side before freezing.
He was about 6 foot tall, dressed casually in chino pants and a blazer but everything about him screamed sex appeal. From the bottom of his shoes to the top of his hair, he oozed natural and unrestrained elegance.
He had eyes the color of which could no longer be described as amber – they were veering towards the golden. His crooked smile was sandwiched by two insolent dimples and the mole under his left eye was the final touch to this perfect drawing. Or at least it used to be, Veronica thought before glancing at his hair.
It was white, pure untainted white and she found herself agreeing with the hushed whispers she had heard; he was hot.
She jerked his hand away and grumbled. "What are you doing here? You're not my nanny, go away."
The young man slightly smiled at sat down next to her. "What else would I come to a bar for? Of course it's to pick up unmarried gullible young women to spend the night with." he said and Veronica almost choked.
She glared at him, "Then go do that and stop bothering me." she was about to take a gulp of her drink when his hand grabbed her wrist for the second time.
"If you keep drinking, I won't sleep with you tonight." he said, his voice low.
Veronica froze and looked at him dumbly, "Wha-what did you say?"
"I said that you better stop drinking if you want to sleep with me. I'm not into inebriated women." he calmly repeated.
"You're... insane." she said, her voice tinged with disbelief but also another emotion that didn't escape the man's keen insight; uncertainty.
He smiled and bent towards her, he was so close she could feel him breath down her neck.
"Don't lie to yourself V, you know you want to. You've wanted me since a while ago." he said and paused, before his hand started caressing her nylon coated thigh and wandering upwards.
"What are you doing?!" she hissed, her eyes darting, appalled at the idea of someone noticing.
He paid her no heed and his voice dropped into a low husky one.
"You've thought about it, I know you have V. Did you... touch yourself thinking about me?..." his hand reached the top inner-most corner of her thigh and Veronica shivered.
"Did you?" he asked again, this time gently biting her earlobe and she stifled a moan.
"Jay... please... not here..." she whimpered.
Jay smiled, took his hand back and stood up like nothing had happened.
"When you're sober, you know where to find me." he said and left without turning back.
The redhead was left dazed and confused, her breath a little strained and unsure of what had just happened.

Jay jumped in the shower as soon as he was back in his suite.

Jay didn't bother replying.
He got out of the shower and put on a bathrobe, and he had barely reached his room that the front door's bell rang.
He smiled slightly, went to open it and there she stood, his favorite redhead.
She looked as fantastic as ever, he thought, and before he could say anything, she slapped him. Hard.
"I don't know who the hell you think you are, how dare you-"
Before she could keep going, Jay cut her off. "Sober yet?"
"Wha-"
He grabbed her hand and dragged her in, closing the door behind him.
He cornered her body against the wall and lifted her chin with his right hand before staring straight into her eyes, and when his face was inches away from her face, he smiled. Widely.
Then backed away and asked "Do you want to play Scrabble?"
"Huh?" Veronica who had up until now remained silent out of anxiousness was completely taken aback by his query.
"Scrabble, you know, the game?" he continued.
"What... I don't-" she stuttered but he cut her off.
"Get it?" he chuckled and she slowly nodded.
"Your drink was roofied."
"What?!" she blurted, this information cutting through her fuzz like a knife.
Jay sighed. "The bartender slipped a roofy in your drink. He was probably under duress though, since he tried to warn you."
"He did?" Veronica thought she might be dreaming, "Wait, how do you know all of this?"
"Before that," he said looking down at his bathrobe, "I'll go and change, you can make yourself at home, there're snacks in the living room." having said that, he turned around and went to his bedroom.
Veronica watched him leave, still not over the shock his words had brought her.
She went to the living room and sat down on the couch, noticing the snacks as well as the Scrabble box on top of the low table. A strange expression crossed her face...
Jay came out wearing sports shorts and a t-shirt that did nothing to hide his muscular body and she looked him over in appreciation before reluctantly looking away.
He smiled at her, grabbed two bottles from the mini-bar and handed one to her.
"Beer?"
"You're a minor!" she exclaimed in disbelief.
"What are you, my nanny?" he taunted, imitating the way she had spoken at the bar.
"You... Never mind, I'm too tired for this. Just tell me what's going on, please." she wearily said.
Jay sat down next to her and put her bottle on the table before opening his and taking a gulp.
"You're wondering why I did what I did and why someone tried to slip you something? Hm... I did what I did because I needed to appear intimate since the bartender and the guys staying at your 4 o'clock were watching, and... probably also because part of me wanted to." he stopped and smiled at her and she averted her eyes.
"As for why someone would want to slip you something... You're a smart, strong willed and beautiful woman, those who know they can't have you... will think of other ways. I've already notified the resort's security and they should probably be reviewing the security footage as we speak. I got you out of there and didn't confront them head on because it could potentially cause you problems. Satisfied?"
Veronica stared at the young man in front of her for a second and felt an irrepressbale urge to kiss him. So she did, she leaned forward and softly kissed his cheek.
"Thank you." she whispered.
"Anytime, V. Anytime." he smiled then grinned broadly, "Now then, shall we play?"
Veronica chuckled, "I'll kick your ass."
"You wish!"
The air was tinged with ambiguity the entire time, but neither of them did anything to destroy the status quo and they ended up playing until 3am at which point Veronica was so tired she had fallen asleep. Jay carried her to his bed, took her shoes off and laid her down before covering her up.
He grabbed a pillow and went to sleep on the couch, dozing off after a while.
This had been such a long day.
