"Buddha... save us..."
"Have mercy..."
The usually peaceful night breeze of Lin Kingdom was violently stormy.
The strong winds were rustling brutally, breaking the trees or whatever was coming in front of its way, as if it was a furious caged animal that bore a strong grudge on humanity and taking revenge after being released. The whole sky was filled with large clouds of thunderstorms. Violent thunders were rumbling and falling from time to time uncontrollably which horror-struck the commoners, they were unprepared for this sudden weather change.
Because most of them were poor, they couldn't afford to change their shabby roofs. Who knew a savage storm will welcome them on the first day of spring! The furious gusts of winds were destroying their houses, blowing the roofs without mercy. They didn't know how they'll live after the storm, how they would overcome their problems.
So praying was the only thing all they could do now.

Nuwa was standing in front of her bedroom window. The whole room was surrounded by an indescribable air of depression.
In the dark, only the refreshing thing was her beauty which was still as graceful one that could deceive many. She was wearing a loose nightrobe, her long hair was loosely opened. She was lazily staring at the storm. However, her attractive yet cold eyes looked so different from the people around her were familiar with. She looked lonely and sad.
Suddenly a cold wind past by her. The curtains ajar so her long, silky hair waved along with her nightgown.
Like the storm, her heart was also in chaos. There was a beautiful sea pearl was on her palm. She was holding it very tightly as if her life depends on it. Yes, it was the marriage token that she received at the imperial court.
Her mind was in a daze. Was she dissatisfied with the wedding?
The answer was a big NO.
Nuwa was rather happy that Princess didn't have to sell out to that heartless emperor for the kingdom's sake. Nuwa was happy that she could finally do something for her savior, and the Lin family by marrying Qiu Feng Mian. Marrying was the simplest way to show her sincerity and gratitude, she owed them more.
But, why she still felt marrying was meaningless? She would never be able to see the Princess. Her heart almost breaking from the sadness and guilt that she felt.
It was her fault.
She never properly understood Princess. That's why she was unaware of the wedding. The remaining last days of Princess' life must be tough. Princess kept all the burden to herself when promising Nuwa free with beautiful smiles.
Nuwa closed her eyes to imagine everything and that's when she finally broke down as tears started to pour on her cheeks.
She was the one who deserved those stabbing, it should never have been Princess.
Her tears burst to spill down her face. Even though she prepared herself to face reality and composed her emotions in front of people, all the defense walls around her heart had collapsed now as her shoulders started to shake. She sobbed when holding her mouth, not letting the sounds escape. She didn't want others to see her like this- broken and apprehensive.
All the memories of the past years rushed to the brain one after another as if a movie was playing. Her mind was filled with indescribable mixed emotions.
As much as she tried to hold it in, Nuwa couldn't stop the pain that came pouring from her throat. Her sobs wracked in her chest as she continued to cry her heart out.
The weight on her heart rocked her being as her world became a blur of gray.
