He opened the book with building apprehension as his heart beat faster and faster as he slowly pulled the cover. Only to be filled with utter disappointment when absolutely nothing happened. Not only was the book blank but nothing magically or otherwise happened. He just opened a blank book. "That was utterly anticlimactic, I was hoping for a dense pressure overwhelming me or even a loli spirit guiding me, hopefully even the transferred spirit of my mother and yet in the face of great expectation is always the greatest disappointment."
with a small sigh he turned his head to the table after placing the book down. On it was a notebook with the words "For Dario" on the front. He shifted his eyes over it but ignored it and looked at the full mask helmet on the table. He noticed a note tab sticking from it which also read the words "To Dario". He palmed his face and thought of his dad's weird personality as well as how well these obvious signs matched up with his behavior. He grabbed the helmet once again letting feelings of anticipation take over as he held it over his head. He shoved it over himself as quickly as possible only for once again, nothing to happen.
Completely unimpressed he tossed it off casually before exasperatingly opening the book he previously ignored. Instantly the temperature dropped as the very space seemed to struggle to move. The book slowly floated in the air while it started to spin rapidly and almost out of control. A blinding blue light filled the room as it froze and reversed into the book at top speeds before slamming down and a hulking blue figure emerged with its arms crossed. It gave off an aura of dominance as it started down at Dario with its djinn like features. "AS RULER OF THEE BOOKSPIRITS I HOLD THE TASK OF GUIDING YOU ON THE PATH TO DOmina-." Sadly instead of the look of fear and awe expected to see in the face of a child they only saw Dario picking up the helmet before brushing it off and and sitting back in the chair again. He checked to make sure there were no cracks before resting his face on his hand and leaning on the table a look of utter disappointment in his face.
"Hey how do you work this helmet I'm trying to awaken my hart as soon as possible and hopefully read these books in the next five years, I don't really have time to play with you." After building himself up twice for a mind blowing entrance the nicest thing that Dario had to say was substandard. He traveled through the galactic stairwell and seen many ancient beast and legendary weapons be born of the chaos even if from afar. His childhood mindset had held expectation but alas the intro was too late. After the scrappy first meeting he was ready to skip the introductions completely and begin his long reading session.
"Wait, Wait, Wait this isn't how it was supposed to go!" The spirit's voice became lighter as it shrunk down until it was a full sized woman floating in front of the desk. Although she was a spirit body she was beautiful with a kind face, watery eyes and straight long hair. She looked hurt from being ignored and made him feel a little bad for previously cutting her off. "My name is Azula and I am your major caretaker. My jobs consist of teaching you politics, etiquette, and good morals as well as being your main advisor. "
"Well I'm sorry for being so rude miss Azula however I've had a stressful few days and was caught of guard by how amazing your introduction was." Her mood visibly brightened at his words as he thought to himself what kind of untrustworthy advisor is so easily swayed. He rolled his eyes and considered for a moment before asking her. "Azula if I want to awaken my bloodline what should I do?" She looked at him for a moment before realizing he was serious and chuckling in his face then covering her mouth." What's so funny over there huh? " His patience started running out as he thought to just close the book and forget it.
Almost as if sensing his thoughts she became serious and immediately began to tell him. "Inside of the family ancestral room is a sacrificial knife. Family members are to make a blood sacrifice to purge the impurities of themselves and naturally awaken their bloodline over the next few days, this is the most optimal way and gives the strongest foundation rather than artificial awakening through the stairs bloodstones or artifacts." He thought back to his last life where he did indeed hear of special treasures that could awaken our allow the inheriting of harts. However this usually led to a downgraded or detrimental version as apposed to natural awakening. Yet whenever he thought of that knife downstairs his back became drenched in sweat and his face visibly paled. That feeling in his blood always made him curious but the last time he tested it he ended up dead. He was about to reject before he heard her finished her words and his mind went blank.
"When a family member cuts themselves with the knife, instead of pure blood the majority that falls from the knife wounds are the impurities held within making it black and murky. The biggest thing about the knife is that it is a galactic treasure created by the progenitor for the family and is incapable of hurting a member unless they will it to. It couldn't even cut into an eye let alone skin unless a family member is performing The cleansing ceremony or the ancestral grave the first where any cut will do and the latter in which they plunge the knife in their heart. Not only is this the only way to unlock the Art bloodline but the longer you let the impurities fall without passing out the stronger the hart will be, it can be excruciatingly painful however and can unfortunately be done once in a members lifetime." Hearing her confirm his suspicions gave him a headache as he realized that the key to unlocking his hart was in front of him his entire life. The familiar feeling of his bloodline was most likely it calling him to unleash his hart and yet he always ignored it. additionally the one time he had used it he performed the ceremony of graves because he was drunk and depressed. Truly too sad.
"I'm going to do it right now wait here and don't move I'll probably back in a few days but until then take care okay, actually nevermind I'm taking you with me I don't want there to be any mistakes." He roughly grabbed the book before barreling through the halls headed toward the ancestral room. He barely considered anything in his excitement neither did he notice the increasing number of books floating through the mansion. His mind was set in his first step to his destiny, finally awakening his hart!
