She was robbed from her mother's arms and sold for the Righteous sect of Light, At the age of eight.
There, she was trained, brainwashed, used and manipulated for years, so she could assume the revered tower maiden status as a puppet.
Those years twisted her.
Time and time again. She bottled her madness into a facade.
Soon she got old and wasn't needed anymore.
But before the day of her disposal, she found a demonic book.
'Give your soul away, and live again in the flesh.' The title said
She read it until the end and laughed. Laughed with unrestrained joy and happiness.
"My chance came mother, I don't care who gave me this or with what intention but without this, I won't ever have a chance of living"
With madness in her bloodshot eyes, she took hold the knife she always kept with her
and in one swift motion, she plunged it deep in her heart.
"TODAY I DIE AS A LAMB, TO LIVE AGAIN AS A DEMON!"
-------------------
Since birth, She lived in a brothel with her mother.
it was a hard life her mother would work at nighttime, came back by morning and woke up at afternoon, and while her mother sleeps she'd clean their room and help do the chores in the brothel.
Her mother was always talking about dreams of freedom and how there is so much more to enjoy out in the world, So they both endured it well, for that dream. When her eight birthday came, she saw her mother fight with the headmistress and manager of the brothel. her mother wouldn't tell the reason, She only told her to never go out without her anymore.
Her mother started to teach her how to observe people and how to read books. She learned when somebody was angry or afraid, anxious or excited.
She was too young to care to know why her mother was teaching her this, she only cared that it amused her.
A few months later without a warning her mother was dragged from their bedroom by a man. The image of the headmistress receiving a pouch with glittering silver on it remained imprinted on her young eyes.
Before she could think of scape, the man took her away in another carriage.
they went opposite ways.
In the middle of the trip, the carriage she was in was destroyed and together with other children she was taken by the attackers; The light sect.
Hope filled their minds, after all the Righteous light sect the ones who protect the mortals from demons, the ones who would fight each and every ounce of evil on the world, that's what her mother had told her, and that's What she believed, but as the time passed she started questioning it.
Afterward, they were trained in tortuous ways and told stories of heroes and saints, by the ones who saved them. only after some years, she understood what really happened.
Some elder of the light sect made a deal with a merchant from human trafficking organization, except they killed them and took their positions in the end, such is the greatness of the light.
With her mother's teaching, she never believed them but acted as the most furious believer.
Eventually, she was chosen for the accursed position. every torment she suffered on the hands of the strong as a weak mortal in a place of immortals kept memorized on her skin.
Still holding the knife deep on her heart, she stared dazedly at the sky, as the memories passed through her head. "To live free you need power, I'll build my own by whatever means. then I'll crush you and make a joke of everything you are"
She then looked at her necklace as it got scarlet and was now slowly fading to its blue color she smiled weakly and fell on her back
She mumbled as the light left her eyes.
"To bet my soul on a clearly evil intended gift, maybe I was already a demon"
-----------------------------
"Uncle Arthur, you say he already has chosen a disciple?! Elder Huang had already said he was going to choose me! Please go talk to him!"
A veiled girl covered from head to toe exclaimed to the middle-aged man.
Arthur sighed, then answered. "Right away, Young miss."
--------------------------------
"Elder Huang, the steward of the Cheng family is in the entrance."
The servant reported.
a bold wrinkly old man was lying down on a fur-covered sofa frowned mumbling
"Cheng family... that prude girl huh."
He pointed at the counter in the corner of his room.
"Take that box to him as a compensation, you don't need to say more."
The servant recognized the necklace on the box. And he paled.
"E-elder, this necklace, was the one found together with the old matron's body at the bottom of the tower isn't it?"
Elder Huang squinted at the boy.
"You just lost your position for speaking more than a necessary, boy. Now take the box and do as you're told."
The servant now paled even more. He slowly turned and walked away.
