" hey mike let's go to the town to scout for our business we need to understand the market so we know which target to attack," Jake said
"Okay but lets me get the horse ready so we can go, " Mike said
It looks like his injuries are not that bad.
Jake and Mike left the house and went get the horse. They have a small stable. The road to the town will take about 30 min by horse but I walking it takes an hour.
The town is not big. The house looks like the Europeans house small, red bricks. All the houses are built in the direction of the town centre. The town has its square centre which is the busiest street. There is a lot of shops clothes, restaurants and the town hole. The town streets are divided in three ways the town square street, the weapon street and the market street.
Jake was looking around in amazement wired looks. It's his first time coming to the town although the old Jake always comes to the town for the new Jake, it's a new experience.
Jake objected is not the market. If he went there he will lose fast. He is weak, and this is a business war, he needs to look around and find the weak spot and hit it.
The good general need to lead according to the favourable circumstances, if not he needs to modify his plan. All warfare is based on deception.
Jake needs to look around and aim for his target. He knows what he has so he needs to search for his bait.
Jake went to the market to look for the price of the vegetable he has. Mike and Jake went to the market street. It's was busy and dirty, all the food is in big stalls, the vendors are screaming everywhere it's like a local market.
Jake went to the vegetable stall and saw what he wants. The vendor looks young the same age as them, but he gave them a weird look, Jake guess because of their clothing.
Clothes represent the person, if you wear expensive clothes you have a lot of money but if you don't then you are some poor dude.
" how much are your potatoes? "Jake asked the vendor
" 5 coopers each, how many do you want?" The vendor asked.
" It's expensive, the other stall told me it's was for 3 copper, am leaving thanks anyway, " said Jake
The money system works here like this. There is tow kind of coins the big and small. Big 10 copper coin means 1 silver coin, 100 small copper coin mean 1 silver coin. Big 10 silver coin means 1 Gold coin and 100 small silver coin mean 1 Gold coin. There is a big Gold coin as well.
While Jake was leaving the vendor told him that he will sell it to me only for 3 small copper coins each. Jake kept asking around and he found all the answers. Mike was walking with him wondering about Jake actions, but he silently walks behind him, he just wants to figure out what in the world is Jake up to.
The potatoes price is 3 copper coins, mine look a lot better than them so I will sell it for about 6 as a starter with a discount like buy 10 and get them with the price of eight. I know that mine will be expansive potatoes but have the expansive strategy never lost. Look at the clothes that the rich people wear, look at us when we determine to buy something we buy something that will live for a long time we search for the thing which is above our budget. The same thing applies for food if you go outside with friends and you want to enjoy your friends' company, but also you need to enjoy the food at that place.
No one knows this strategy here and I can save as a card when I negotiate. I don't want to aim at the market, look at it when you are surrounded with same product you will just go to the most shop you trust, which mean the old one or the one you frequently visit not a new competitor. The ground here is sold I can't go the battle now without a name to myself. So, the question is where to aim my arrow, a weak place, doesn't have a competitor, easy to negotiate.
While looking around the town, Jake was heading to the end of the centre square street, there was a restaurant called The Big Eats. It was a small restaurant, about 10 tables. The owner of it seems to be a woman in her thirties, the waitress looks like the women, so I guess she is her daughter. My eyes lit up my heat was dancing with joy because I found my target. The place was not busy, it seems they don't have any costumers. The only customer here is the one who comes when all the places are full, or they are in a rush.
I have a devil smile on my face, Mike took 2 steps back looking at me with a stupid look. Now it time to train my solder and discipline him
