Chapter 65 - The Arrow [Jamie]

I pulled the trigger. Another hole formed in Lucifer's arm. "Hey Bill!" I held the arrow Scorpio had given to me. "Catch!" I threw the arrow. Bill caught it, and observed it, before putting it in his pocket. I shot at Lucifer again, hitting him in the wing. He screamed, and began descending. Bill shot toward him, and stabbed the arrow through Lucifer's chest. Lucifer screeched, and the two began plummeting toward the shield. Bill kept pushing him toward the shield, until the two collided with the bubble around the city. Lucifer's body disappeared, until he was nothing but dust. Bill looked up, and began falling.

I shot toward Bill, faster than I had flown before. I barely managed to grab him, and hauled him back to what remained of the school. I set him on the ground, and tried healing his wounds. Gradually, his cuts began disappearing, but he wasn't waking up. Scorpio crouched next to him. "He's not thinking." She became paper white, and tried again. I looked around, but Chasan was passed out from healing me. "Aleister?" He shook his head, "His soul's not here, not like Akumura's was." Something cold fell down my face. I looked at Brit, but before I said anything, she shook her head. "No, there's gotta be something..." I lifted his body. "Come on, get up." I opened his eyelids, and his blood red eyes stared back, but there were like glass. Scorpio fell on her knees, and tried to hold back sobs. "I know, how sad." A voice echoed around the area. "To think, you used your two greatest weapons, in one shot." Mechanical laughter filled my head. "I've used up most of my power as well, you know. But you still don't stand a chance against me."

I looked at the sky, and Lucifer flew down once again, his arms spread like he was some kind of biblical figure. "H-How?!" I swiftly felt my grief fade into something I couldn't place. "I-I saw you-"

"Die, yes, I know. Do you really think I'd risk going here myself when I still had two major threats here?"

"So those were decoys?!" Brit yelled, walking toward Lucifer. "Precisely, granddaughter. It's something everyone in my family can do, well, in a more direct sense." He looked right at me. Looking at his eyes alone almost made me vomit. "As for you though, you're no longer of concern to me. You're clearly not powerful enough to stand up to me." Brit ran toward him, her wand already pointed at him. "SECTUM-" Lucifer threw a sword at her, cutting her arm clean off. She screamed, and fell to the ground. Pisces ran to her, and tried her best to clean the wound. "And while we're at it," he threw another sword at Chasan, almost completely severing his head, "might as well finish that little project." He laughed, not with even a hint of malice or madness, but sheer joy. "You sicken me." Scorpio glared at him. "Oh? What's this?"

"I've seen your thoughts. What you think this is. It's sick!" She approached him.

"SCORPIO DON'T!" Pisces yelled.

"You should listen to her, you know." Lucifer's voice became smug, "After all, look what happened to the Demonic scum."

I looked back at Bill. "Scorpio," I said, grabbing his sword, "Listen to Pisces."

"Why?! So you can die instead?!"

"No." I approached Lucifer, and looked him in the eyes, "So I can kill this bastard once and for all." Lucifer smiled so large it almost looked unnatural. "Good! Finally, what I've been waiting for!" He sharply inhaled, "A chance to end this pathetic race once and for all."
