Lucifer rose from the flames. At this point, people were flooding out of the ballroom, having heard the explosion. Most of the staff were leading an evacuation, however, there were some who stayed, and molded into the Demon's ranks. "Damn." I looked down, then at Scorpio, "I was really hoping to get one slow dance in before this." Lucifer began to fly toward us. Jamie began to shake. I moved toward her, and held her hand steady. Lucifer stood before us. "Good to see," he looked at Jamie, "I still command some fear." He laughed to himself, then switched back to his previous demeanor. "I see you brought some friends to our little pow-wow, how sweet." He looked down at the legion of Demons and students.
"Listen," Jamie's voice started to break, "I-" she swallowed, "I don't want to fight. None of us do." Her voice became more stern, "I have a deal for you." Lucifer cocked his head, "I'm intrigued. Please, tell me."
"I, nor anyone on Earth, will interfere with your plans. However, as long as I, Chasan, Bill, and Satan are alive, you are to leave this planet, and its inhabitants alone." He thought for a second. "I'll make an amendment," his smile twisted, "As long as you and the messenger are alive, I will not touch the planet, nor anyone who calls it home." Jamie looked at me. I looked at her, and nodded. "I agree to the amendment." Lucifer looked at me, then at Satan. "We are clear, then. If any of you interfere, this deal will be off, understood?" Jamie, Chasan and I nodded in agreement. Lucifer shook Jamie's hand, and began flying away from the school. "See?" I looked into the distance, "Nothing to be-" A loud boom came from next to me. Jamie, Chasan, and I flew back. "What the hell was that?!"
I looked frantically for Satan, but there was no sign of him. Suddenly, a series of similar booms came erupting from the horizon. "You don't think," Jamie looked more concerned than I'd ever seen her. "He couldn't hold himself back for a few more seconds?!" I yelled. Lucifer and Satan appeared over the school. A gust of wind pushed us all back.
I flew downward. "What the hell happened?!" Scorpio asked, "I thought he was leaving!"
"We did too." I said through my teeth. "Well, what happened then?!"
"Those damned Demonic instincts. He didn't even try to hold himself back." I turned around. "DO ANY OF YOU HAVE THE ARROW?!" The Demons looked at each other, confused. "Of course you don't." I grabbed Scorpio's hand, "come with me, we're going to Hell."
"Okay? Why?"
"The one way to surely kill him is down there." She rolled her eye, "Why didn't we just grab it earlier?!"
"Well sorry! If you couldn't tell, I've kind of been on edge!"
"Fine. Let's get the arrow. Pisces," Scorpio grabbed her sister's shoulders, "Keep me posted, and for the love of God," Scorpio embraced Pisces, "Don't die."
"Don't worry," Pisces pushed Scorpio off of her, "I won't."
A flash of light covered my vision, followed by the usual landscape of Hell. "How long has it been?" I looked at Scorpio, who was struggling to stand up. She grabbed her phone, and tried to turn it on. "It's not working." She frantically tried turning it on, but the screen remained black. "Damnit. Whatever, we've got to get this."
I burst into Satan's palace, and walked through the halls. It was a labyrinth, I had no idea where I was, or where I was going. I felt a tap on my shoulder, and jumped. "Sorry." Scorpio said, pointing to a room. The room itself looked pretty unimportant, but there was a massive amount of energy exerting from the room. "You sure this is is?" She asked, starting to open the door. I nodded, and walked in the room.
The box was sitting on a pedestal, exactly where Satan had left it. I tried to lift it, but the box didn't budge. "Come on," Scorpio tried lifting it, but just like me, to no avail. "So, do we just take the arrow?"
"I don't know if we can take that risk. The tip of it managed to almost take off Satan's hand with a prick of it." She looked at the box, and opened it. "And I don't think we have much of a choice." She grabbed the arrow, then my hand, "Come on, we've got to get back." I nodded, and we began trying to leave the palace.
The of the Topaz estate swung open without us even touching them. The wind blew me almost back to the wall, and Scorpio slammed into it. "Is that coming from-?" Scorpio stood up, and tried moving forward. I tried walking forward, but was pushed back. "Try calling Pisces now!"
"I'm not sure it'll work!" Her voice was barely audible over the wind.
"Well, it's worth a shot!" She nodded, and grabbed her phone. She opened her contacts, and tried calling Pisces. "Hello, the person you are trying to reach is currently unavailable. Please leave a message after the tone." Scorpio threw her phone on the ground. "GODDAMMIT!" I moved my wings in front of my face, and started moving forward. "Get behind me," I looked back, "I think I can get there like this." Scorpio nodded, and walked behind me.
After 10 minutes, we made it to the door. I moved behind a tree, and stretched my wings. "Now I should be able to fly us to the school."
"Good. I don't know how much longer I can stay here." I completely unfolded my wings, and started to gain altitude. Scorpio clung to my back, and I started moving toward the school. Suddenly, the wind subsided. "What-" A glow began forming where the school was. I shot myself toward the light, but even though I was going faster than I had before, I couldn't get there before an explosion leveled the campus.
