Chapter 13 - I have a minion, pet, monster thing? What cliche is that?

What the fuck.

120 floors? Isn't this a tutorial dungeon?

Jesus christ, it reminds me of that game where you play as an assassin for hours only to find out that he was the prologue and that the game really stars his son.

Like what kind of bullshit tutorial is this? Is he trying to turn me into a hack 'n slash player or something? I'm not a fan of hack 'n slash, I like actual RPG's that make me think about my actions not, go here kill that, go there kill this over and over again.

Whatever, this could just be the initial floors, maybe some of the following floors will be cooler?

I look at the goblin king as he examines his arm to see that it is actually functioning like it used to, then he notices me looking at him and he bows, for what reason I can only guess because he submitted to me?

[Skill Acquired [Taming(Novice)]]

[Title Acquired]

Huh, that was delayed by a bit, but I'll take it regardless, I've been wanting the taming skill for a good bit, but none of the goblins would survive long enough for me to make them submit, plus they were all weak but plentiful in number so I couldn't take my time really.

Hmm, I wonder, the goblins did have some useful variants, maybe I can bring them with me through the rest of the dungeon?

I walk to the door that I entered from and pull it, but it doesn't budge so I put more strength into it, after trying for a few seconds the door creaks open slowly and after letting go it just so happens to stay open.

Well I hope some of the goblins re-spawned. I wave for the goblin king to follow me through the door and he cocks his head curiously as he follows me. By the way, these bastards are still ugly as shit, it is a lot of effort finding new ways to describe them, maybe vomit with legs?

Whatever, I look on the map as I go through the doors and I notice immediately that there are red dots everywhere, which makes me happy since now I know that they re-spawn and since it means I can get some of those good goblin variants of the goblin general, I plan on 5 of each type of goblin general and then 10 of each variant. I don't care about the plain goblins though.

I start sneaking towards the first group and I'm reminded of the first scene of goblins I saw, there are 6 of them with hands in their pants, there is one picking its nose, and there are a couple... um... doing it.

God they are disgusting.

The only ones that aren't doing anything is the general and one of the swordsman, who seem to be conversing.

I see a goblin healer off on its own with its hand in its pants so I sneak up to it, apparently my hide is either too high for it or its perception is just too low, because I get to it without it seeming to notice me.

I put my left hand over it's mouth and my dagger over its throat and silently drag it around the corner to where the goblin king is. Once the king is in sight it looks at it with wide, pleading eyes so that the king will have pity on him and help him, but what shocks it is that in the next few seconds the king bowed down to me.

The goblin wasn't able to handle that and starting crying, guess seeing your leader bow to someone with a knife at your neck takes a lot out of you, huh?

I let go of the goblin which causes it to fall to the ground, then it looks at me in anger for doing that to its leader. I point at it then at the ground, implying for it to bow, but it doesn't comply.

Shit, how does this taming work? I tap the goblin king and point at the healer to which he responds with a nod.

I step back and watch as the goblin king stands and looks at the goblin with a glare, he then raises a palm at it but puts it back down a few seconds after doing so, I mean I wasn't telling him to beat him, I don't even know what I told him. I just implied that he needed to take care of it, glad to see him handle it peacefully though.

He then starts talking to it for a few minutes, the other goblin was scared at first but started seeming more hopeful as the conversation went on, then as I sat there in the camping chair I pulled out the goblin went and bowed to me, then the message played asking if I want to accept it as a subordinate so I click yes.

[Skill [Taming (Novice)] is now level 2]

Oh neat, I'll take level 2 already, it was pretty fast too.

I nod and start getting more and more goblins, the process continued repeating until I had 4 spear men, 5 rogues, 3 healers, 2 swordsmen, 2 knights, 6 archers, and 4 casters. This is just from one camp, I still need to get the general and the swordsman he is talking to though, and kill the 15 normal goblins in the camp, I don't want to have any worthless goblins.

Oh, and after that all here's the progress:

[Skill [Taming (Novice)] is now level 6]

Neat right? I love when things level up fast, makes everything so nice and satisfying.

I take the goblin rogues into the camp and point at the normal goblins then make a slashing motion over my neck so that they know I mean kill them. They then nod and go off. Why should I bother going in myself to kill them? Capture them sure, but that is because I can't really convey much non verbally.

After watching as dots dropped from the map I motion for everyone to follow me into the camp since there are now only 2 goblins left here plus I can slaughter them easily if anything happens.

The goblin general notice too late that we surrounded them, which is disappointing honestly considering I wasn't trying to hide them. The goblin king then steps out of formation and talks to them for a time, which then caused them to submit to me as well.

[Skill [Taming (Novice)] is now level 7]

Bada Bum bum bummm, I'm loving it.

Now I have a swordsman general and 3 swordsmen! Time to go and grind out minions.

A long while has passed now, about 6 hours I'd say, and now I just need one last general, the healer general. This one is rare since healers are usually put on the front line, but I will keep clearing this floor until I get one. I even decided to get more than 10 of each and instead get 50 of each, that way each goblin general that I get can command 10 and so that in total I will have an army of 386.

I did the math, 1 goblin king commanding them all, 35 generals, and the rest are the goblin variants.

Oh I also decided to equip the goblins all with similar gear, they all have leather on, not just a select few now, and the shield that some of the knights had that I fought, well now all the knights of mine have one.

I also learned that after getting 100 followers I now have the army tab, which I find neat.

It lets me organize their formation so I put the Knights at front, then spearmen, followed by swordsman, archers, casters, and I mixed the healers in here and there so that they can heal anyone that is injured, as for the rogues and the generals? Well the generals and king are at the back of their respective troops so that they can command them better, and the king is near the front since he is both a Swordsman and Knight.

The rogues, well they are being rogues. They go to the back of enemy lines and kill their leaders, or for what I've been using them for, capturing them and thinning out their troops till we get there.

Oh, almost forgot my skills and what not:

[Skill Acquired [Commander(Novice)]]

[Skill [Taming (Novice)] is now [Taming (Rookie)]]

[Skill [Taming (Rookie) is now Level 5]

I guess that taming is one of those things I am pretty proficient in, I approve though, it has been fun letting the goblins do all the work, and I don't need to feed them yet since they just eat whatever food we pillaged from the other camps and whatever they brought with them.

After clearing out 5 more camps my rogues finally brought me the last goblin healer I needed so I have the king do its job and convert him, and once he is done I went and gave him a set of 10 healers then added them to the formation. With this my goblin army is done.

They may be weak, but it saves me the effort of killing on my own. I may not get much XP, but I prefer being lazy to being super OP. Granted I am not entirely giving up on being OP since I still get XP, I just have it set to be given to the goblins equally with more priority to the lowest levels.

Yeah, I can do that, neat huh? I think the system may be having me head towards taking over the world with an army, which I can do, but that sounds awful boring to me.

I take the goblins and lead them down to the next floor, ready to take on more goblins should they appear because I don't want to fight more goblin kings alone, that was a difficult fight surprisingly. Well now I have the numbers and the formation which they lacked before so I should be set to fight them with minimal losses.

After exiting the stairs I realize that this really is a dungeon like I've read in the stories, it even looks like a Forest under here. Jesus christ I knew that there were some cliches here, but what the hell?

I start walking forward and hope that the exit is straight, because I don't know where the hell it could be if its not, and I really don't want to spend a long time on this floor just looking for a damn boss room.

After walking for an hour or so we didn't discover anything so I sat down on the camp chair to take a break and think things through, so the goblins took this chance to take a break and relax. After waiting for a few minutes I finally got an idea to send out all of the goblin rogues to find the boss.

I wave them over then point at them and tell them, or well, use hand symbols as best I can to get them to understand that I want them to scout out the area. A few of them nod and realize what I meant, maybe their intelligence leveled up?

They then go and tell the others what they think I meant with my gestures, then everyone looks at me, nods, then sprints off to find, what I hope is, the boss.

I was sitting back and waiting for some of them to get back when I saw some red dots coming towards our camp, so I clap furiously to get their attention which makes all the goblins jump up and stop what they are doing.

After getting their attention I draw the dagger and point it towards where the enemies are coming from which causes them to get into a defensive formation for the oncoming threat. I wish I could tell what was approaching us, but I prefer to be safe.

After waiting for a few minutes in position I see that it is about to exit the tree line to our small clearing, and once it does I can't help but look at it's stats.
