Journal Entry #3: August 29th, year xx02
"Carefully look into my bookshelf. There hidden extravagantly, tells one wish easily reachable.
Let every virtue encompass life. 100 antiques left in various excerpts."
Well, I made that a lot harder than it should have been. If you look at the first letter of each word it resembles a pattern, the new message states: "Climb the tower level 100 alive". When pieced together, it now becomes clear.
The only person who climbed the Spiral Tower, who was never seen after reaching the peak, was alive. Who was this person? I have no idea, the only hint was his alias. The Silver Priest.
His healing and combat skills were absolutely legendary, on top of that he was very self-sufficient. He didn't rely on anyone else, but still was helpful... At least, that's what all the rumors say.
No one can confirm whether all of this information is true. But anyway, the fact that my father is insisting that I climb the tower, and to go as far to encode a secret message shows how urgent it must be. I must meet The Silver Priest.
Instead of wasting time, I quickly mounted onto my motorcycle. I had to get my supplies. I rushed over to the meeting grounds, aka the plaza. There was one huge reason I hated visiting the plaza, it reminded me of the fact that I am dead broke.... Damn.
My living conditions were average at best, compared to others at least. I have a decent security system, my motorcycle always requires a retina scan and there are cameras that capture a 500-foot vicinity around my mansion. But at the same time, the nobility and many former adventurers owned multiple vehicles that would initiate from touch recognition, compared to my commoner motorcycle. They even had sensors in their mansions that would detect heartbeats, differentiating between intruders and the owner.
As I approached the plaza, I noticed a bunch of people all huddled together, looking at a polished brick board. This board was dedicated to community job postings, and people of all different ages looked for ideal jobs fitting their qualifications. In a bind for cash, I decided to take a job.
Well, the request was simple enough. I just had to pick 10 Autumn Sprouts. These were primarily used by alchemists. Using these as a catalyst, Autumn Sprouts were very useful when crafting healing tonics.
The only problem was Autumn Sprouts are only found deep within caves. Since I currently don't possess a weapon, I am very vulnerable to monsters that may be lurking inside.
Unfortunately, there is no other choice for me. I have to get inside the Spiral Tower. Without proper preparations for the Spiral Tower I will surely die, but at the same time if I take too long in preparations I will miss my opportunity to meet the priest.
I went east from the plaza and headed towards the wilderness. I stumbled into a forest. Perfect, just the area I needed to be in. The woodland critters were quiet today, did something happen?
As I made my way through the forest, I noticed a faint dirt trail. It seemed enticing for whatever reason, so I followed it deeper into the wild.
I heard a resonating roar, it sounded like a bear or at worst a howling loris. The sound came from the south, I was going very far from the plaza.
I stealthily moved towards the sound, I thought to myself that I should try avoiding confrontations. Unfortunately, my curiosity ended up getting the best of me.
As I approached the sound I noticed a large waterfall crashing from the side of a mountain, interestingly enough the waterfall was hiding something behind it.
I climbed up and got a little bit of dirt on my clothes, as I got closer I heard another screech. It came from the waterfall. When I looked closer at the waterfall, there hidden by the mist was a small cave entrance behind it. Although I don't have a weapon at this time, I decided to explore the cave.
