In the crowded streets of the East Peak Mainland, Heaven City stood Xia Rong.
Xia Rong stood motionlessly amongst the crowd as her hair entangled wildly in the wind. Her chilly gaze fell upon the middle-aged man dressed luxuriously in front of her surrounded by imperial guards.
The middle-aged man laughed disdainfully as he stared at Xia Rong with an emotionless gaze.
"Xia Rong look at your lowly shameless mother become a street concubine, do you not care if her body belongs to the masses as you dare hold on to the heavenly ancient knowledge!"
The middle-age man laughed scornfully as he delivered a swift kick into the naked woman's abdomen. His face darkened a few shades as she winced in pain and coughed up a mouth full of blood.
"The Heavenly Ancient Knowledge was entrusted to me by the heavenly gods hand above, what right do you have in demanding it from me General Xia Huang, even going as far as to have your dear wife defiled in the street to threaten me."
There was an unmistakable tone of hatred in Xia Rongs voice as she glared at the old General before her eyes rested painfully on her mother's naked body.
General Xia's face turned from green to white then from white to green, he gritted his teeth as he glared at Xia Rong with such hatred she would have died a thousand deaths without fulfilling his satisfaction.
General Xia's lip twitched in dissatisfaction at the young girls arrogance, " You shameless little girl have I not taught you any manners when addressing your elders, you dare defy me and let your mother be treated in such a manner, you are lucky the heavens smiled upon you with such a gift or I would have snapped your neck as an infant gladly saving the land some resources from your unworthy mouth."
"Ha Ha ha!" Xia Rong let out a boisterous laugh that shook the heart of the crowd as she stared at General Xia with a cold gaze.
"Was it not you General Xia who dragged my mother from her warm bed stripping her of her clothes and tossing her body into the streets before telling every man and guard who passed by to enjoy her heavenly fruit!"
She sneered and continued, "You shameless old man who use the strong and attack the weak, you wait till 2nd eldest brother Xia Lingxiao is away before you torment his mother and threaten his younger sister all for the sake of obtaining a heavenly treasure, you dirty swine! How can you still walk on two legs and call yourself a human being? Are you not any different from a common rat who does not hesitate to strike without any morals!"
"Such a shameless General," The crowd repeated in unison. Some stared at the old man in disgust while others whispered amongst each other. "To have your wife beaten and ravaged in the streets amongst a group of onlookers such pity for Lady Xia Lin."
Xia Lin lifted her pale body slowly off the ground.
"What a weak and feeble General you are to issue such treatment upon your wife, you must certainly be a mad man whosewho's only goal is Xiao Rongs Heavenly gift, Xiao Rong you must not let this evil man obtain the knowledge of the Gods or he will certainly bring an end to The Four Peak Mainland's."
General Xia scuffed then delivered a powerful kick into Xia Lin's chest, "Shut your mouth you dirty swine, fortunate for you, you've served your purpose now swiftly fly into the afterlife."
Xia Lin's body hurdled into the air before crashing into a nearby shop wall and falling onto the street with a loud thud.
Xia Rong's elegant face twisted in anger.
"You shameless bastard, you truly are a man of great evil, I shall punish your soul a hundred times over till all you feel is pain and regret for your actions today!"
"Humph, Regret?" General Xia let out a scoff and snickered. "Do you know how your name will go down in History and how your story will be retold?" You, Xia Rong, an arrogant and shameless little girl just barely over the age of twenty years old, has provoked a powerful and divine righteous General leading to the public shaming and death of her own mother. While refusing to have her gifts revoked to be used to protect the greater good of the people! As for me, General Xia Huang, am a faithful and righteous commander and soldiersolider of the Imperial Emperor, who mourned the loss of his dear wife while the ungrateful and cowardice daughter, who was a threat to the land was slain and laid to rest by my sword. Then againβ¦. Ha Ha Ha! Your mother nor your body will be buried in the ancestral grave of the Xia family! Neither of your names shall be spoken again for your public treason!"
Slightly trembling Xia Rong stared transfixed with her gaze fixed on the ground in front of her.
General Xia's lips turned upward into a satisfied smile as his strong proud gaze swept over the emotionless gazes of the crowd before landing on Xia Rong.
"Kill that lowly woman Xia Lin and throw her body in an unmarked grave near Dark Hell Woods, maybe the Xia family will be lucky and her corpse will be devoured by a low level spiritual beast."
"Yes Sir!" The guard saluted General Xia then walked over towards Xia Lin's weak trembling body lifting her up by her neck.
Xia Lin gasped for air while slapping the guard in the face with her weak bruised hands.
"Xiao Rong protect the heavenly knowledge the faith of the Four Peak Mainland's depends of you!"
The guard scuffed loudly, "Shut your mouth whore!"
The sound of flesh being pierced echoed throughout the quiet crowdedcrowed streets in front the Xia Mansion. Blood trickled down Xia Lin's lifeless body as the guard tossed her body off his sword and began cleaning it with a rag as if her blood was a dirty disgusting stain.
Xia Rong's body shock in a violent rage as all her hatred was transfixed on the man before her.
"General Xia Huang, let everyone here serve as my witness today for I, Xia Rong, declare to purge your lowly existence from this world even if it takes a thousand years, your soul shall fall into the deepest parts of hell!"
"Purge?" General Xia laughed scornfully. "Xia Rong? This is just a simple cleansing can't you see your to blame for this woman's unfair and unjust death, and you wish to purge me from this world."
General Xia's smile twisted into a sinister grin as if he was looking at Xia Rong like she was a huge joke.
The crowd scuffed and booed General Xia for his actions but quickly quieted down from his murderous aura.
"HAHAHAHA!" A maniac laughter roared for Xia Rongs throat. It pounded through the ears of the crowd as they looked on in fear.
Xia Rong pointed her sword towards the old General. "Hey General Xia Huang, I shall rip your soul from your body and bring you face to face with my mother's spirit, so you can apologize before I plunge your soul into the depthsdepts of hell!"
Immediately, her energy field intensified as her long black hair danced wildly in the wind. Her murderous intent was intensified that it obscured the lights in the sky painting the sky dark with a sense of foreboding.
The crowd screamed in fear as they cleared the streets running for their lives, leaving behind Xia Rong, General Xia and a few guards along with the lifeless body of Xia Lin.
Xia Rong was the genius daughter of the Xia family who attained the power level of mid-level Martial Honor at just the age of Twenty. If not for General Xia's distraction with Xia Lin's death he would have been killed without the chance to even blink by her hands. Yet he ruthlessly sacrificed his beloved wife to buy himself some time for his trump card to arrive.
Suddenly the sound of a chest being stabbed through echoed through the empty streets.
Xia Rongs body froze, and she looked down at the two blades lodged in her chest. She rose her head slowly as her eyes met two cold gazes.
"Qian Zouβ¦. whyβ¦"
She was speechless, the man she loved the most just stabbed her in the heart and sided with her father.
Her sharp gaze stayed fixated on Qian Zou's emotionless gaze. Energy exploded out from her body, vaporizing the two blades into ash. Her hand held her chest as it bled, and sorrow filled her eyes, "Why would you betray me?"
"Betray you?"
A faint glimmer of sadness flashed through Qian Zou's eyes but suddenly disappeared.
"My beloved Rong, I'm sorryβ¦...but I am a greedy man. You may be the love of my life but with your knowledge one can literally rule the world, and I was promised the right-hand position of your father if I can successfully help him obtain that knowledge."
Xia Rong's face drained of color as she watched the man she loved pull out another sword.
Suddenly she charged towards Qian Zou with a deep sense of hatred plunging his sword deeper into her heart.
She plunged her sword deep into his chest drawing her lips closer to his ear as she garnished her teeth.
She coughed splattering his shoulder with blood.
"Qian Zou, you incompetent wretch I shall avenge my mother if not in this life than in my next, no matter how many times I am reincarnated I shall chase you and fathers souls to any peak on this earth and kill you both with my bare hands, this I promise!"
Qian Zou sneered as blood ran down his mouth soaking his garments.
"Xiao Rong has made such a meaningless promise, but since it was spoken then so be it, I, Qian Zou shall also chase you into our next lives and any after that to vanquish your wicked soul from this world."
"HaHaHaHa!"
Xia Rong started laughing wildly. Her laugh was filled with a strong, bitter hatred. She laughed maniacally," General Xia Huang and Qian Zou, I would avenge my mother soon if not by my hands then my brother Xia Lingxiao will certainly hear word of this incident and avenge us both."
Hong!
A strong intense energy field expanded from her body, but nothing happened.
Pcchh!
Xia Rong spat out a mouthful of blood. Her cold gaze sweeping across General Xia and Qian Zou's pale face.
"Xia Rong give up the Ancient Heavenly Knowledge you dirty swine!"
Xia Rong sneered, "Hehβ¦over my dead body!" She tightly gripped Qian Zou's sword digging it further into her heart.
Xia Rongs face paled as her lifeless body fell onto the cold streets.
"β¦...Dammit." Qian Zou sneered as his face paled.
"I'll get you, you little wretchβ¦."
Qian Zou spit out a mouth full of fresh blood before falling lifeless on top of Xia Rongs body.
"Guards take Xia Rongs and Xia Lins body and bury them in an unmarked grave," General Xia roared.
