Chapter 11 - (11) You’re Worried About Me? What About The Other 18 Years Of My Life?

Akari walked side by side with Yoko. Maybe it was how close they were, or maybe it was how cold it was that night, or maybe something else. (This is me, thinking how stupid Akari is until I remembered that I created her. *looks at Akari* I have created a monster. Literally.) It was like the feeling that happened to her whenever Yoko used his Qi against her, but it was more pleasant this time. Instead of remembering her mother and her death, it reminded Akari of how life was before her mom died. It was, nice, to say the least. She looked away from Yoko and played with her gun. At that very moment, Yoko pulled Akari away from the sidewalk and behind a tree. She was about to say something but Yoko covered her mouth. She looked forward and saw three guys that were walking. She saw something flash and realized they were all armed. As they draw closer, she hears their conversation.

"We need to find this Yoko kid. He injured our boss so badly that he is now crippled. We must avenge big boss!" The others cheer in agreement and they continue walking. Akari feels a breath on her ear as Yoko leans closer to her.

'Use your Qi. Think about life and reach out to them. You'll get their life essence and we can slowly kill them and watch them beg us to kill them.' Akari listened carefully and nodded. She stared at the group and thought about her mother in her younger years. She was so full of life and energy. She opened up her hands and saw a red string float over and wrap around the leaders ring finger. Black tar starts to drips onto the knot and slowly moves toward Akari. Yoko pulls a jar from thin air and collects the life essence. As all the life essence is collected, the leader drops dead in front of his two lackeys. The two others tried to shake the boss, trying to wake him up. Yoko puts the jar into Akari's backpack before getting up. He takes out his knife and walks over to them. The two hear him and look up.

"I-it's you!" The other two get up and take out a knives. Yoko seems bored and walks forward. The other two charge at him. One of them tries to hit Yoko in the chin, but Yoko leans back and drops down, kicking his feet out from under him. The other tries to stab Yoko's back and Yoko rolls forward, coming back up and slices the other person's cheek with inhumane speed. Blood gushes out and the other falls to the ground, holding his cheek. As Akari was about to walk out, she feels something cold press against her neck and someone restrain her arms behind her. Yoko turns around as he feels a presence and freezes as he sees someone holding Akari hostage.

"Move, and the b*tch dies." Yoko's grip tightens around his knife.

"Who the hell are you?"

"I am someone who was sent as backup for those three. Now, you're gonna do exactly as I say, or the girl gets it." Akari sighs and looks behind her shoulder.

"Do you really think, as a high ranking assassin, that this is the first time I've had a knife up on my neck?" The man looks at her.

"No, but I'm sure as hell gonna be the first one to use it." Akari snorts.

"You sure as hell won't be the first. Have you seen the marks on my neck? You're sure as hell, not the first one." Akari pulls her neck in and grips his wrist. She quickly disarms him and lifts her leg to hook around his neck. She puts her weight down and he falls face down. She pulls her leg out and hits the back of his neck hard. Yoko rushes over to her and takes off his necktie. He presses it against her neck. Akari touches her neck and feels blood.

"F*ck." Akari sits down as she starts feeling light headed. Yoko presses against her neck and kneels down.

"Do you need me to carry you back to my place?" Akari rolls her eyes but winces.

"No sh*t. These feet aren't gonna get me anywhere with how I'm feeling." Yoko sighs and moves his arm underneath her legs and her back. He lifts her up with relative ease and rushes home. He gives her water and patches up her wound properly. He puts her to sleep on his bed, because him being the gentlemen, what would it make him if he let the girl sleep on the couch? A douchebag.

Author-Chan- You are a douchebag. Remember, I made you, I AM YOUR MOTHER!

Yoko- YOU ARE 7 YEARS YOUNGER THAN ME!

Author-Chan- I GAVE BIRTH TO YOU FROM MY IMAGINATION! YOU ARE A DOUCHEBAG BECAUSE I AM BASING YOU OFF MY BOYFRIEND WHO IS A DOUCHEBAG! BUT BECAUSE YOU'RE A DOUCHEBAG, AKARI WILL LOVE YOU! NOW SHUT UP AND I'M CLOSING UP THIS WALL! NO MORE BREAKING IT!

Yoko- I WILL BREAK IT IF I WANT TO!

Author-Chan-...

"God dammit!" Yoko continues punching the punching bag in his basement. As he finishes working out, he goes back up. He goes into his room and sees Akari sleeping. Unlike her usual cold face, her face had a warmth to it. It made Yoko feel something and he had to take a cold shower to remove those feelings. Yoko took his blankets and a pillow and slept on the floor (Shirtless, I might add). He took a final look at Akari before going to sleep.

~The Next Morning~

It was Saturday. Amazing. Akari woke up and first looked at her phone. Her phone had over 100 missed calls. All from her dad. She called back and it was immediately picked up.

"Akari! Where are you? I was so worried about you!" Akari scoffed.

"You're worried about me? What about the other 18 years of my life?"

"Now Akari, don't be like tha-"

"I'll do whatever the hell I want to." She hung up and saw that Yoko was awake and sitting upright. Her mind woke up as she saw that Yoko was..umm, FREAKING SHIRTLESS! She turned away and stared at the screen of her phone.

"Problem?" Yoko asks.

"No, not really." Yoko gets up and puts on a shirt.

"Akari."

"No."

"Akari."

"No!"

"Akar-" Akari cuts him off by kissing him on the lips. She pulls back after a couple of seconds and gets up, her face flustered.

"I said no." She runs to the bathroom, leaving Yoko sitting on the bed, perplexed.

'What. The. Fuck. Just. Happened?' Yoko thinks, gazing at the closed bathroom door.
