The view right outside of the gate was as described in the books, a few quantities of them, that were about the Jade Dragon path. There was a path marked on the ground and some trees along the way.
A small black dot was visible from afar, according to the books it was a tower and seems to be endless, going through the clouds, but that could not be confirmed, since on the books, none of them talked about what was inside of it. .
As they stepped out of the Bunker, they would be on their own. But in this case, they would rely on each other, since they were a Party.
The soil was a vivid tone of brown, and although there were only some trees, the ground was covered with a lot of leaves, they weren't just green, there were yellow, brown, even some red petals were in the floor.
"That's the tower from the book…" Beifong Li was pointing to the black dot from afar.
"Yes…but I think we shouldn't go there, at least for now."
"Yes, so am I. Do you remember the books from this path used to end?
"Sure, always with the tower…nothing after that…" Sun Mei said while looking at the black dot, and then she continued to talk, with some doubts on her face. Beifong Li noticed that and questioned the young woman. "What are you thinking about?"
"These leaves…" She replied while looking at the trees, she noticed they weren't the same from the floor.
"Their form and colors are different from those on the tree."
The wind came from their left. "I guess we should go there." Sun Mei pointed to the left.
"Agreed." The young man answered.
The representatives members from the Beifong Family and from the Sun family started their adventure, going to the left, where they felt the wind coming from. They walked and walked, and after walking a lot, they reached a big forest. The trees there were thick and compared to before, they couldn't even count the number of trees there. But they noticed quickly, that's was the forest those leaves came from because the shape and the color were the same from those found on the trees, up high and on the floor.
The sound there wasn't just of the wind hollowing, they could hear some loud steps coming from afar and then suddenly a roar burst through the forest. Probably from some monster bigger than themselves, to be honest, way bigger than them.
Quickly they looked at each other. Beifong Li made a sign with his hand left hand, with a finger on his lips. Sun Mei understood what it meant, she nodded slightly and didn't make a sound.
The sound of flapping wings was huge, only losing to the roar itself. They looked at each other again, and a lot of leaves was spread among the forest. The monster's wings or way too big, or way too powerful, maybe if they were lucky enough, it wouldn't be both.
After some time, a lot of earth rose from the ground, because of the wind made by the monster. Our heroes covered their eyes and grabbed the trees as hard as they could, the wind was strong as itself was a monster, Sun Mei which wasn't able to hold for the whole time was quickly grabbed by the waist by Beifong Li. Other monsters wasn't that lucky. They flew because of the wind, some were thrown against the threes. The monster was already higher than the trees and then flew towards the tower.
Beifong Li and Sun Mei went back off, leaving the forest from the same path they entered. They Looked towards the animal and the black dot from afar.
They couldn't believe what they saw. It was a giant gargoyle, but it was alive, being ridden by a human, which was seated on the neck.
"That wind from before..." Beifong Li stated, and Sun Mei continued the thought.
"It was made by it."
They looked at each other, and both of them were tense, sweating was dripping from their forehead. They knew people could kill those monsters, although they didn't know that man was riding one.
They came back inside the forest and heard a monster screaming, they could tell it was a baby one, by its weak cry.
They went deeper in the forest, looking for the little monster.
"I can't take care of this one… My sword is wooden until now." Beifong Li said it
"Okay let me take care of it, although the drop will be mine. "
"Sure, I have an idea then, let's do a rule about it. Who kills the monster keep the loot¹."
"Okay." Said Sun Mei with a happy face, it was going to be the first loot for them, and she was confident it was going to be hers.
They kept walking until they found the baby monster. It was a pretty one, to explain easier it was a ball, with 4 legs and 2 eyes, it was laid on a tree, spitting blue blood. That baby was really hurt. It cried out a lot.
"Sorry little man, but this will at least end your pain." Said Sun Mei.
She quickly pulled the string and shot and the arrow went through the monster's body. "Easy." She said with a smile on her face. "I can't believe it's that easy…if the people from the Bunker knew…"
"It's not that easy…" Beifong Li Replied. He pointed to the place where the little monster should be with the arrow, Sun Mei turned to see the scene and saw it. Instead of the loot, she saw 2 from the same monster, although now it was smaller.
Sun Mei pulled another arrow, and shot, one of the monster was shot again and split again. Now there were 3 of this little monsters.
"Hold it. I have an idea, let's wait and see.
Beifong Li went forward, with his sword on hands. He couldn't believe it wouldn't work when the time he needed the most come. So with a swang, he hit the monster.
The little monster laughed and a cute face appeared on his face. The damage inflicted by Beifong Li was zero, he couldn't even believe, it really nothing happened. He was thinking his weapon would work, if he was in danger, like what happens to the heroes from the novels he used to read. He couldn't be more mistaken.
He kept hitting the little ball of fur, and the only response was the monster laughing at him.
Seeing this scene Sun Mei could do only one thing, she laughed a lot, and after a few seconds with her eyes getting wet she said.
"Oh might knight, would you mind help me somehow, instead of killing this baby by laughing?" Even his beloved Sun Mei was mocking him. Beifong Li got angry, he gripped the tsukagawa really strong, and hit the poor monster, his sword was still wood, and the same happened to the monster, he just laughed.
The 3 monsters got together and started to fuse, so they would go back to their first form. They shone and merged into one and got bigger than before. Beifong Li screamed just one world.
"Now."
An arrow went through the monster, and it's shining stopped. He cried out and slowly lied down, so he could rest, this time, forever.
"Let's see the drop, and eat some meat. I'm hungry, I didn't eat this morning…." Said Sun Mei, while one of her hands was behind her head.
"Okay, no problem. I didn't as well, so let's eat." He said with a smile.
"Oh, congratulations on your drop." He said.
"Thank you" Sun Mei replied a lit bit red.
After killing a monster, it's drop appears by the side of the monster, and the monsters' meat was eatable, most of them. People created jobs, using the rests of the monsters. Some created clothes, others chose to build house furniture, even some restaurants hired some hunters so they could bring meat from the monsters.
White Tigers Bunker had a few of these restaurants, but the price for this rare was absurd, because the amount of it, wasn't that much. That's why the high demand of hunters, few wanted to eat more meat, a big part of them wanted some money, and others just liked the challenge of killing the beasts.
Sun Mei looked at her drop, she pointed it out and said.
"Look, look, that's my first drop." She said it was noticeable by her voice she was happy.
"Wow, it's a…"
