"..ghh..uhh" murmured Sparky. He opened his eyes and stared at the white ceiling. He tilted his head slightly to the right and noticed the sky blue wall that was filled with posters of all sorts. "My room..? Did Scar bring me back?" he questioned himself in his mind.
"Tsk....this hurts" said Sparky as he sat up. He lifted his shirt up a little and saw bandages around his body. "Great, this will take some time to heal... Let me find Scar first and ask about what happened," he continued.
Sparky ran out towards the sky-way, which connects the dorm and the lobby, and he was greeted with a girl who was looking out towards the landscape on the sky-way. The girl stood by the opened windows and looked as if she was in her own thoughts.
The wind blowing by made the girl's hair wave alongside the wind, making her look elegant. A bird flew towards her and landed on her finger which she extended out. Her eyes became gentler than before as she looked at the tiny living thing. Sparky smiled a little and walked up towards her.
"H-hey Mae! How's everything going?" asked Sparky, trying to shake off the nervous feeling on him. "Mmm.. Im fine. I don't feel much different from before though," replied Mae while looking at the bird. "O-oh I see! At least you are fine now!" said Sparky, this time with his hands in his pockets.
"Hey this might be quite a deep question but how do you see this world? Do you have like a dream or something?" asked Mae, seemingly down. Sparky looked at her slightly confused but smiled and said "I wouldn't say I have one but if i do it's probably to live my life to the fullest! I never got to spend time with my family in the first place and I would never have since... yea! Ah, I do want to find someone who I can love whole heartedly as well!"
"Hmmm.. finding that someone should be easy for you right? Since you seem kind and easy-going so you probably have tons of friends..." said Mae. There was a short silence.
"Haha more like I hope so as well. See.. I had a lot of trouble making friends since people were always scared of me. My parents passed on when I was young and many of my close family either fell sick suddenly or passed on as well so many would say people who got close to me will result in ridiculously bad luck." said Sparky as put his finger close to the bird which was on Mae's finger.
"I was pretty bothered about it back then but I would say I'm fine now! Being able to go on missions and fire elements of powers is way cooler!" he said while laughing. "Mmm.. about that... d-do you mind if I followed along...?" asked Mae with a quiet voice. Sparky nodded his head and said "Sure!". "By the way... may I know your name?" questioned Mae. "Sparky! Scar call me Spark or Ki well either way works so you can call me the same!" said Sparky. Mae smiled back and both of them shook hands.
"Ah Ah! Look who's out here with a girl! Is friendship less important now?" shouted Scar from afar, walking towards them. "W-Wha?" said Sparky, with a blushing face. "Get your ass over to the lobby now, Ariton has things to say to you," Scar continued. Sparky ran towards the lobby after bidding good-bye to Mae.
"I heard about you from Veronica. I'd say its a pretty depressing story but I hope it won't affect you from executing missions from now on. I expect Sparky to have accepted you to join us? Well, I have things to do now so see ya!" said Scar as he walked passed her towards the dorm. "Mmmm..." replied Mae.
As Sparky arrived at the lobby, he saw Ariton along with Veronica. He greeted both of them and Ariton said "So... let's keep thing short. Me and Veronica has decided you should complete your studies even though you are executing missions," said Ariton. Sparky was dumbfounded. "WAIT! I still have to go to school??!" shouted Sparky. "Ah yes. You don't get to skip school for all these," continued Ariton.
"How about Scar?! Isn't he the same age?" asked Sparky. "Yes he is but he graduated last year. He skipped a few grades," said Ariton. Sparky could imagine Scar's face smirking at him.
"Well, I see you have no objection so your school semester begins tomorrow, so do wake up early. Don't worry you will still be able to execute missions. Your schooling items are all ready and sent towards your room, that's all." said Ariton. "Oh.. great," thought Sparky in his mind. Veronica was at the side, smirking at Sparky's behaviour.
The time quickly forwards onto the next day. The alarm clock rang at 6am and Sparky tossed and turned before getting up reluctantly from his bed. He took a shower, got dressed and looked at the mirror at the eye bags under his eyes. He was playing games all night till 4am once again. He ate a piece of bread before taking his bag and heading towards the lobby, teleporting close to his school.
"Ah great! I'm back here again. Seems that I wouldn't be able to skip school this time since Ariton would kill me if I did that and also I wouldn't be able to complete my studies! Great!" thought Sparky sarcastically in his mind. He dragged himself towards the school gate and went towards the classroom which was located on the second floor. It was as noisy as ever.
He went towards his seat and sat there. No one seemed to have noticed him. He turned towards his right and rested this head on his hand right hand while staring out to the window of the classroom. Not long after, the bell for the first class rang and the class began to quiet down a little, though everyone was still practically talking and people sat down at their seats. Sparky still laid his head down resting.
The door flung open and the homeroom teacher came walking in. "Alright students settle down , it's a new semester again so I hope everyone would have a great one! Once again I would be your homeroom teacher for this semester. Anyways, we have a new student today," said the teacher. "Come in!" he continued.
"Yes," a voice could be heard from outside the door. It was clearly a girl's voice. She walked in slowly and stood in front of the class. "Nice to meet you all. My name is Mae," the voice continued. Immediately Sparky looked up and stood up. "MAE?!" he yelled in a shocking voice.
