Chapter 129 - Gheele Folami - Major Chapter - Fighting Head-On

"That blade . . ."

Ivar looked at me, trying to figure out what my weapon could do. His reaction was natural. He had never seen an Aegis Gear before or anything similar. I myself could guarantee that since the Aegis Gears were made solely for Lutalo, and the fact we didn't meet any Pillars for the past year.

"Ruler's Blade. That's the name of this weapon," I said, my eyes stared coldly at Ivar.

I thrust the Aegis Gear forward, causing my Aegis particles in the air to propagate. In just a split second, four lion's heads made up of my Aegis crystals popped into existence. I never knew the Aegis Gear could make such a big difference in how much my crystals could propagate.

Of course, I never really did use the weapon after Klaus gave it to me. The Ruler's Blade only function was to enhance its owner's Aegis specialty to some extent. The blade itself could be seen as a decoration, since, it didn't serve any real purpose. If at all, the weapon's blade helped in directing my propagated Aegis crystals to my enemies.

"Lions?" muttered Ivar with wide eyes.

One by one, the lions' heads descended onto Ivar.

He clicked his tongue. "Don't think this is enough to deter me."

The crystallized heads shattered with a simple flick of his wrist and he grinned from the expected outcome. Perhaps after he had assumed my Aegis Gear was nothing special, he proceeded to command his crystal claws and scythes. Those crystal weapons dropped onto me fast, however, I managed to pop an oval shield in time. Then, I formed gauntlets the size of a truck to fall onto the scythes and claws. It crashed onto the graphite after that.

"Tsk!" I shielded my face from tiny chunks of graphite flying towards me. The smoke cleared a bit, and Ivar seemed to be calculating something in his head. I took the opportunity at hand.

The crystal gauntlets shot spikes at Ivar. From the looks of it, he didn't anticipate that move and barely managed to disintegrate most of the spikes. Two of it didn't get affected, piercing him in his right side.

"Aaargh." He then willed it to disintegrate too. "I didn't expect that one . . . Damn it."

Agatha, on the other hand, had been trying to fire her Aegis Suppressor Gun time after time. The Aegis-less Mara had her occupied though. She clawed at Agatha but her attempt at it was laughable. Agatha was a general, making her a terrifying opponent in close combat. Despite that, Mara kept attacking her but got beaten up in a few seconds.

Agatha spoke, "Your injury is regenerating. Hmm. This gun Klaus had made seemed to only inhibit your usage of Aegis crystals."

Mara shot a look at her. "Don't underestimate the Pillars." A moment later, she pulled out what seemed like a metal baton from underneath her coat. She pointed it at Agatha, and a plasma ray shot out of it.

"Damn!" Agatha managed to dodge it. "One of Alicia's invention I assume. This is going to take some time."

I willed the gauntlets to change its shape, attempting to engulf Ivar. As expected, he shattered the gauntlets with ease.

"Hmm?"

He looked confused, as I was no longer in his sight. "What the . . ." He noticed it immediately and his wings blocked my attack from behind him. "When did you get behind my back?!"

"Isn't it obvious already, slave?"

Ivar gritted his teeth and took a couple steps away from me. "You used the gauntlets to cover my vision and when I shattered it, you attacked me from behind."

"Maybe."

Ivar's hands twitched in anger, and slowly, he reformed the scythes and claws. "I'll make sure to present your head to Ama after this."

Before the weapons he'd formed strike at me, Ivar coughed blood. He lost control of it and therefore returned to its shattered form. He screamed in pain, pulling at his red jacket as he fell on both knees. When he looked down at his clothing, there were dozens of holes.

He looked at me. "You did something to my body. These holes . . ." More blood spluttered out his mouth, and I grinned from it.

"I managed to slip in some of my Aegis particles into your body and see how much it can propagate inside you. Turns out I need more to actually deal a killing blow," I said.

"Damn you, Gheele Folami!"

He held his hands in the air, commanding my Aegis crystals inside his body to come out in very small fragments. I didn't intend to let him rest. When he was done with it, I knew he would get distracted.

Thrusting my Ruler's Blade forward, massive orange wings manifested above his head and slashed. He blocked it with his own wings and willed mine to shatter.

"Damn you, damn you, damn it all!" He shot a murderous look at me. "I'll kill you no matter what, you hear me?!"

With that, he summoned black, metallic crystals from the alley we were at before. It was Mara's crystal pillars, and he called it to his side. In just a few moments, the sky was covered with the black crystals. Though, he didn't stop there.

His broken, peach wings disintegrated and were replaced with a massive pair of black, metallic wings instead.

"You're ridiculously powerful," I muttered.

Large orange serpents manifested from thin air, and I used my Ruler's Blade to attack Ivar with it.
