Just as the dust settled, everyone could see the beaten up Hannah still dazely trying to get back up while the world was spinning around her.
Just as she'd managed to pick up her precious sausage to wack that annoying chicken, an annoying voice reverberated across the arena "TOURNAMENT IS OVER! RESULTS ARE A TIE".
'Damn it, stupid uncle Larry', always ruining the fun moments. She soon looked down to see both her little tiny feet being a couple of cm away from the marked arena lines, meaning that she had lost. But seeing that annoying chicken with his little quack feet out of the arena line as well, she hmphed triumphantly.
Now that the fight was over, she quickly hopped down before dissapearing off into god know's where again.
This time she reappeared in her hotel room as she quickly loosened up and lied flat on the bed with a major hangover.
Though she didn't lose her consciousness, this state of vulnerability was more than enough to get her killed if any of her enemies were to appear.
But thankfully, her surroundings remained clear as she slept through the day.
"Why did you leave so soon?" A warm and deep voice soon appeared next to her as she quickly sprang up, only to see that familiar annoying face up close with his right hands playing with her hair.
"It's not like seeing you any longer was fun" Besides who are you to even question me? But for some reason that particular question remained restrained.
"Oh, but I can make it fun" as he quickly got up and suppressed her tiny frame beneath his.
'Bastard!' Seeing his cheeky actions , she cursed him a million times as she soon felt her face heating up.
'Wahh, too much blood circulation in the wrong area!'
But she soon regained her calm as she used her fingers to touch his warm and slightly rough chin as she said seductively as she narrowed her eyes"Is that so?"
"Hehehe" He chuckled as he got back up from their intimate position and sat on her bed next to her.
"So, why are you here?" The plan is due one week from now, why was he even here? Did something unexpected pop up?
"To see my little wifey" as he flashed a charming smile towards Hannah.
"Be serious" She murmured in a low voice, as if warning him not to go there while looking away.
"You're holding back, why?" Though slightly discouraged, he could still hear that she was slightly suppressing her tone when she answered. But there was a flash of relief in his eyes seemingly glad that he caught her little mistake.
"Love is not for me....." I'm sorry , she really felt like comforting him as she thought of his little depressed face, making her heart winced as she tried her best to avoid looking at him.
"That's not it... I know you have feelings for me, but there are other reasons why you do not accept my love" He whispered from the back to her little red ears while he hugged her from behind.
His sad tone made her clench her fists as she felt his body arousing the subtle yet warm feeling in her chest, making her feel safe, like a little girl with her prince charming.
'Oh, Ningxi.... you did soo much more to me than you know' as she thought silently.
"If only you weren't that smart" as she let out a self-depriciating smile.
" I know enough to know that one day, you will be mine. I will wait, even if it's for a thousand years for the reply I want" as his voice and warm embrace faded away.
It's funny how she felt like there was something empty in her chest when he'd left, seeing that all she ever wanted was for him to be gone.
'Should I try to love? But, what will I do when we seperate, what if it's forever?'This was one of the little reasons she hated the system, she hated the stupid protagonists for making her go through this. What's the point of knowing what happens after if you can't even stop it?
'NO!' a loud thought echoed through her mind as she calmed down and restrained her emotions once more.
'I've lost my calm' For the first time in this world, she had lost her calm and had worried and thought of unnecessary things.
'What's come will come' as she walked to the balcony and rested her hands on the smooth railing while looking at the stars as they bloomed through the night with a peaceful smile. 'If one day, he manages to fully win over my heart, I will admit my loss to love' as she clutched her necklace with a tight grip.
