Waking up with a groan, Saul was not feeling well at all. The last thing he could remember was fighting Callum in the arena before blacking out.
"Can you hear me?"
Saul immediately turned in the direction of the voice. It was a doctor wearing a white robe. Looking at his surroundings, he was laid on a bed directly in the middle of a white room.
Noticing he was awake the doctor proceeded to flash a light in his eyelids and check his pulse.
"He's awake, can someone go call the director?"
A pretty looking nurse left for a corner of the white room. Surprisingly the moment she reached the wall, instead of pausing the wall shimmered before she passed through.
"So do you happen to remember what happened in your match?" Still stunned at the current event, Saul dumbly nodded his head.
"Please give us a recount on everything that happened?" The doctor said pulling out a small device from his white robe.
"I was fighting Callum, and was winning but Callum managed to trick me. The moment I let my guard down, he heavily injured me before I blacked out."
"Looks like he is suffering from memory loss. The director should be coming soon," The doctor said looking at the nurses.
Turning back to look at him, the doctor said,"Don't worry, everything will be alright."
As if by magic the moment the doctor let out those words, he instantly felt relieved.
Swish!
Turning to look at a corner of the room, he managed to catch the wall shimmering before a fat little man walked in.
Looking at the man, Saul thought it was quite funny how the man had this type of wobble as he walked. For whatever reason, he instantly liked the man.
Coming over to Saul's bed the man gave him a hard look before nodding at the nurses in the room. Instantly everyone cleared the room leaving him and the fat looking man, alone.
"You must be the director I assume. Nice to meet you," Saul said stretching his arm out for a hand-shake.
"Likewise," The director replied, grasping his palm firmly. In his past life, his dad always told him you could tell a lot about a man through his handshake.
"I assume you don't know who I am really and what you are doing here. Let me lay it out to you, I am the director or principle of Star Origin Academy. I am the one who hosted and funded this competition to find budding talents to rope into the academy."
Eye's wide with surprise. Saul took a deep breath before replying. "You are Dean Blade. One of the first covenant rider and principal of Star Origin Academy."
"The one and only," Mr. Dean replied with a smirk.
Respect was the only thing running through Saul's mind right now. This fat little man was actually the principal of Star Origin Academy and even more than the that, he was one of the first covenant warriors.
Ever since coming to this world, Saul had been doing quite a bit of research as unto how strong covenant warriors were.
Most of the information about them was not allowed unto the public and even with his authority as the descendant of an aristocratic family he was not granted permission.
But the little he found out about them made his eyes pop. In this world, normal people could lift up to several tons, run faster than a car and so on. This was already overpowered in Saul's eyes but top-level covenant warriors could destroy entire continents on their own.
There have even been records of covenant warriors destroying planets, how amazing was that. Star Origin Academy was a place that focused on nurturing potential covenant warriors.
Note the word potential, even if you had the potential to become a covenant warrior, it was not guaranteed you would become one but even so to get into Star Origin Academy was harder than climbing to the heavens.
Now looking at this fat little man in front of him. The cheerful feeling in his heart before was totally change and filled with respect.
Clasping his hand together, he bowed his head. "Thank you for your service."
"Not bad kid, you have a lot more respect than other people. Now back to why you are here. The doctor already informed me of what you told him about the incident in the arena. Do you know that Callum had been admitted into a physical and mental hospital because of you."
Hissss!
Taking a deep breath, Saul tried everything he could to stay calm. Trying to look the director in the eye, he noticed a little mark in the corner of his vision. The moment he focused on it, his mind was immediately filled with the information of what happened in the arena.
It turns out that he awakened a Dao. Dao is a very mysterious thing, from what he knew, in his old world, a Dao meant a path, a road someone of something could walk on spiritually or physically. In this world, it also had a meaning or let's say a usage.
Dao's were used to command covenants. That is were potential came into play, not even 3% of the world could activate a Dao. And if they could, what mattered was the level of your Dao.
Dao's were divided into different grades, F to XXX(weakest to strongest), you needed at least a C class covenant to command a covenant. But the thing was that Dao's could evolve because there were never two Dao's that were similar to each other.
Every Dao is different. Dao is a way, a road to command covenant's but that did not mean that you did not have a chance if you were born with a low-level Dao. After all, heaven always leaves a way.
That's why anyone that could form a Dao was treasured. The moment he formed his Dao, it took over his body and fought, that was its basic instincts.
Saul did not want to lose the match and that was the base in which he formed his Dao.
"Looking at you, I think you found out the reason I am here. So what do you say lad, want to join Star Origin Academy?"
"Whattttt!!!!!!!."
