Purple Monarch looked down at his messenger as he heard some scrambling noises behind him and Dream Knight.
"Hey Dream, how long do you think they're going to follow us for?"
Dream Knight, who was running next to him, shrugged her shoulders before a few Drows appeared in front of her.
"Hmmm, probably until we enter the PvP zone… Then, it won't be our fault, right?"
"Yup, I love that idea Dream Knight!" He giggled as he ran towards one of the red zones on the map.
When you entered a red PvP zone, players could kill each other for items, and minor experience boosts. However, in situations when your guild leader's identity was under threat, it was a wise decision to kill the pack after him.
"Well, when they arrive, Purple. Please don't hold back… I'll message our guild head while they're begging for mercy."
"Sure! My treat!" Purple Monarch laughed before they jumped over the precipice and landed on the mountain hill. Now that they were out of Blooming Valley, the land below them was showing up as red on the map.
The reporters, who were assured they weren't seen, eagerly jumped down after them into the zone.
"We're going to be so rich!"
"Yes, my son will get to go to college!"
"Heh… just don't lose them! If we lose them, our companies going to get us fired!"
They were currently using team speak, and didn't think their footsteps could be heard. However, one of the skills an attack cleric had was clarity, and in this new version of the game it amplified awareness. It was one of the few new items on the skill trees that the reporters were unaware of. Obviously, in games, reporters usually chose sneaky professions and not a single one of them was a cleric.
"Boo!" Purple Monarch said as he took out a large hammer. "Did you guys think we didn't hear you?"
"No…. but, you aren't going to hit us with that thing are you?"
Purple Monarch could only smile. "Yup, but only till you die… Come to papa!"
Dream Knight laughed as she began watching Purple Monarch kill all the thieves, and Bards that trailed them.
"Well, you better answer Thrasher!" Purple Monarch sent a message to him really quickly before she immediately received a reply.
"Hello, Dream Knight? Where were you guys?"
She laughed watching the reporters start trying to defend from Monarch's swings. "Uhm, well, just dealing with some monsters in the woods… Did you get your subclass yet?"
Thrasher laughed looking at the little Elf in front of him. "Uhm, it's a long story… but I have a new subclass. Apparently, I found the wrong guy…"
"Wrong guy? What happened?"
"They ended up replacing the messenger class because of its advantages in reaching early towns…. However, this man gave me a choice between two new subclasses, the cannon fodder subclass, and the horns man subclass."
The two subclasses were new to this version of <
"So… I'm guessing you choose hornsman right?"
Thrasher looked down at the little elf who was waiting for his answer.
"Well… are you going to pick a class adventurer?"
He sighed before he sent Dream Knight a reply.
"Well, I'm a little bit confused if I should even choose one of these classes. What do you think DK?" He felt somewhat taken aback by having to make a choice that went off his grand plan. He wanted to be the messenger so he could gain access to a new town early.
However, the cannon fodder class also had that privilege except with the expectation that you'd most likely die to visit rare kingdoms.
"Uhm, we always trust you captain… If we didn't, why would Monarch be killing reporters right now…"
"Let me see?" Thrasher asked before a window popped up in front of him.
Thrasher was soon seen on the screen with a gigantic cudgel running around with intense speed. The reporters could only make it so far before he activated titan's hammer, and rapid thrust in succession. Rapid thrust sent the reporters into the air before he used titan's hammer to nail them into the ground.
Even though he was a tank, he could still put away his shield and dish out damage.
These reporters were only level 10 at the highest, and the level 24 Monarch soon sent the last one flying away.
"Hey Captain! All clear!" Purple Monarch proudly said.
He walked over towards Dream Knight who was looking down at Thrasher's image.
"Hmmm, so what do you think I should choose Monarch, the Cannon Fodder subclass, or the Hornsman?"
"Well, if I actually answered that Guild Head, that would defeat the purpose of you being the leader! Why don't you just follow your instincts."
Dream Knight smiled waiting for him to answer.
"Hmm, I guess I'll pick…"
