Zayn and Vown arrived right in front of the Python Beast Forest, after traveling for 3 days.
The sight didn't impress Zayn in the slightest. It looked from outside like any normal forest. Zayn expected more for a forest called Python Beast Forest.
"This is the place Zayn. This is the Python Beast Forest!
You'll stay here for a month, maybe a bit longer, we'll see. It seems like a long time but you should be aware that it can easily fly by. So don't go always into your Zero Heart Realm. Time would pass by an instant.
Even though cultivation should be your main priority in this training trip, you shouldn't solely focus on it. Refining your cultivation stage and experiencing many different things, shouldn't be neglected. Experience is really important here. In your cultivation journey, there would be many times where you would live in the outside. Those conditions are most of the time favorable to increase and refine your cultivation and yourself.
All right, Zayn, don't forget that you're on your own here. I'll leave after our conversation and only come back after a month or so. Ryu already gave you a map for your navigation. There should be marked two spots on this map. These are the natural cultivation sides of the Python Beast Forest. You should visit them and cultivate there.
Besides cultivating, you should also hunt beasts inside the forest. You'll need food after all. You should be able to hunt most of them, but don't forget if you aren't able to fight them, flee.
And no matter what you do, don't come close to the black marked area on the map."
Vown really emphasized the last part of his explanation. After that, he didn't even wait for Zayn's response and disappeared completely. From one instant to the other.
This really caught Zayn off-guard. The movement was far faster and more refined than Zayn's Phantom Blade Movement Art.
He also tried to track Vown, after his disappearance. He was sure that Vown wouldn't really leave him. And that he would only act if Zayn was really in danger. But still, he wasn't able to track Vown. He couldn't feel the slightest bit of Vown's Qi.
Zayn didn't feel that helpless now that he was left alone. He still had Infinite Star as a guide and also the Daily System. The latter though wasn't that reliable.
"Kid, your teacher had a point. You shouldn't only focus on cultivating. You seem to lack general knowledge about the cultivation world. You need to learn about it if you want to continue on your path in cultivating. I can teach you all that." Infinite Star proposed to Zayn.
Zayn was aware of his ignorance in this world. He wanted to learn more about it. The cultivation world was really entertaining for Zayn and further learning about it could enhance his experience here. After all, he was stuck in this world for now.
Zayn accepted Infinite Star's proposal and then opened Ryu's map.
He set as his first goal in the Python Beast Forest, to visit one of the natural cultivation sides. Preferably the nearer one to his position. So, he first had to track his position on the map.
This was easier than expected, as behind him was a mountainside. The only mountainside near the Python Beast Forest was to its west. Zayn now roughly knew where he was.
The nearest cultivation side to him was a small lake like side. It could also be a small pool or something like that, Zayn wasn't sure of it. It was also in the west of the forest, but Zayn still had to travel a bit.
Hence, he started to walk to his destination.
Along the way, he noticed the purity of the Qi in the forest. The Qi was comparable to the principal's office and energized and refreshed Zayn on his way. He understood why the Python Beast Forest was a great place for cultivation. He also noticed that the deeper he got inside the forest, the purer the Qi became.
"Kid, the Qi... I don't know... It feels familiar..." Infinite Star began to be in deep thought after they entered the Python Beast Forest.
Zayn saw many different animals inside the forest. There were many animals similar to earth's animal. But he didn't encounter a hostile beast.
The forest wasn't only covered in trees after trees. There were many beautiful and exotic flowers, too. The animals seemed to live happily inside the forest and use the plentiful resources of the forest. Zayn was intrigued by the flowers. They radiated Qi by themselves and looked really rare. There were many different colorful flowers inside the forest. He wanted to harvest them and use them if he could. However, Infinite Star told him that they weren't that rare and it would only be a waste of time to use them in his cultivation.
He continued to traverse on his path and wondered about the forest's beast. Everyone warned him to be careful in the forest, because of the beasts. Yet, no beast showed itself. This didn't bother Zayn that much, but he still wanted to see the beasts of the forest.
"Kid! Watch out!" Infinite Star hurriedly warned Zayn.
Zayn didn't know what was coming at him or from where, so he instinctively used his Phantom Blade Movement Art to disappear from his spot.
*BAM*
A loud dull sounded behind Zayn.
Zayn turned around and saw a gorilla-like beast. He struck his fist to the ground, where Zayn previously stood.
Its fur was completely yellow and shining. He resembled a gorilla from earth, but contrary to those he stood like a human. He didn't walk on his four limbs, he only used his legs to walk. The gorilla-like beast was a bit bigger than Zayn and far more muscular than him.
"Kid, it's a 7-Star Body Refinement Realm Beast."
Infinite Star told Zayn the cultivation stage of the beast. This encouraged Zayn in his strength. He was aware that his strength was above the 7-Star Body Refinement Realm, so he should be able to take down the beast with ease.
Without waiting much Zayn charged at the gorilla-like beast. This surprised the beast. For him, Zayn was a weak 3-Star Body Refinement Realm Cultivator, who didn't pose any danger to him. So, he naturally ignored Zayn's charge. His previous dodge was only through dumb luck.
Zayn noticed the beast's behavior and abused it. His charge landed right on his stomach.
*PANG*
The beast was pushed a few meters back and fell with an immense impact on his back.
"AURGH!" The beast cried in pain, he didn't expect this result.
Both of them were surprised after this clash. The beast was surprised that Zayn's strength far exceeded his imagination. He noticed that Zayn was a danger now.
Zayn was surprised at the beast's defense. It was far too high for a 7-Star Body Refinement Realm Cultivator. Normally this attack should have finished him.
Infinite Star noticed Zayn's confusion and elaborated.
"Kid, beasts are in general far stronger than humans. Even though they have a lower cultivation stage they can still triumph over humans with a higher cultivation stage. To skip Stars like you is for them normal against humans. His true strength probably lies in the 8-Star Body Refinement Realm, maybe even higher."
Zayn was surprised at this discovery. He didn't expect beasts to be stronger. Their intelligence should be far lower than humans, so he thought that they would also tend to be weaker than humans.
He didn't want to drag out the fight any longer than necessary. It was possible that the beast was stronger than him, so he wanted to put everything in his attack this time.
He again charged at the beast. This time, however, the beast put up his guard. He was prepared at the oncoming charge.
Zayn right in front of him used his Phantom Blade Movement Art to get behind the beast. The beast didn't expect such a rapid movement from Zayn.
Zayn then instantly used his True Fire Fist.
*BOOM*
The beast flew through a few trees. He was burning all over the body during this process and screamed deep in pain. After he landed the scream wasn't heard any more.
Zayn rushed over to the beast to confirm that he was knocked out.
When he arrived in front of the beast he noticed that he was nearly completely burned down.
"Kid, the beast is dead! Great Job!"
