Blair decided to pack everything up, she wasn't going to risk her friend safety. She decided to trust in Olivia's intuition and move them to a safer location.
Olivia decided to help her friend collect the books, as they were gathered Olivia realized that Blair was actually reading reference books. She turned the one book sideways then looked at another, there were three or four books about law, specifically family law and the criminal code.
Olivia grazed her fingertips across the spine of one of the book. "Blair what were you looking up?" she asked her curiously. Blair froze in place, she brought her gaze up to Olivia and gave her a cocky smile. "A back-up plan." she stared to say as she wrinkled her nose. "But there's some fine-tuning needed.... we need autumn." she said pitifully.
As they brought the books back to the librarian at the front desk. Blair asked the librarian to make her some copies of pages that were marked with coloured tabs. As they were waiting for the librarian to make the copies Eli had walked in carry a bag full of what smelled like fried chicken. Olivia's mouth started to salivate as she looked at the paper bag. Blair looked at Eli. "We need to leave." she said sternly.
Eli nodded and made a quick phone call. "I need your help can you come to the library on Main Street? Yes I will be waiting by the exit.... how far away are you? Perfect, thank you." he said before he hung up the phone. He pocketed the phone and looked at Blair and Olivia. "We have 5 minutes before our ride shows up."
Blair nodded, Olivia couldn't help but stare at the bag of food. Eli chuckled and stretched out his hand. "You can eat a piece while we wait." he said gently. Olivia rushed over to his side and he escorted her out the main doors. Once they were outside they took cover in the right corner of the building, shrubbery blocked the the street view which made it the perfect place to hide. Eli pulled out a fried drumstick and paced it to her with a a small packet of wet wipes. "Thank you!" Olivia breathed out as she stretched out her hand to grab the food.
Eli caught her wrist and pulled her close. He placed a hungry kiss on her lips and parted them with his tongue. He thoroughly tasted the inside of her mouth before he let her go. "I needed to eat first." he said as the fire in his eyes were blazing. "Can I have the chicken please?" she asked pitifully as her eyes became round and watery. Eli gulped as he brought the drumstick forward. "Ah thank you!" she said with sparkling stars in her eyes when she finally got what she wanted.
The moment her teeth ripped off a piece of crispy and tender chicken she arched her back a little and tossed her head back. "Mmmh! Oh I needed this!" she said with a mouth full of chicken. She looked to the side and saw that Eli dropped to the ground and hugged his knees. "Are you ok?!" she asked in horror and stroke back his fringe to see if she could get a look at his face. "No." he mumbled into his knees.
Olivia was alarmed, she didn't know what to do. She looked at the chicken then Eli then the chicken again. She cleaned the drumstick off as quickly as she could, cleaned off her hands and sat beside Eli trying to snuggle next to him. Hoping he would open up his arms and bring her into his small world. Eli laughed hard into his knees. After he had a good laugh he sighed and stretched his arm around her shoulder. He brought his knees down, crossed them in front of him and lifted Olivia up, bringing her onto his lap.
"You know you chose chicken over me right now." he said as he brushed back a lock of her hair. Olivia flushed a bright red. "No I didn't! I chose to give you my full attention and I couldn't do that with food in my hands!" she said with a pout. Eli laughed harder and wrapped his arms around her body. "Can't I steal you away from all this?" he whispered into her ear as his embrace started to tighten.
The words Eli whispered struck her heart strings harder then anything else. She felt the sorrow and pain he was holding back in each word and she hugged him with everything she had. "Do you think she will let me live... me being alive threatens her lively hood, especially if she's infertile. She will go into hiding, hell probably tell people that I'm hiding too and the moment I give birth, she will probably tell people I stole her child. Then there's that curse... even if we manage to escape, there is no guarantee that I will live for very long."
Eli's body became stiff and she could feel his heart rate pick up. She pulled herself away from Eli and looked at his paled face. She brought her hand up to his cheek. "Hey what's wrong?" she asked as softly but his eyes were flashing with worry. "Olivia." he started to say but was interrupted by his cellphone ringing. Eli sighed, he placed his hand over hers and slid it over his lips so he could kiss the inside of her palm.
By the fifth ring he let her go and finally answered his phone. "Ya... ok." he said as he looked at her. He hung up the phone and picked himself off the ground. He held his hand out to help Olivia up. "Ride's here." he said robotically and then turned towards the direction of the main door. "Blair you can come out now."
Blair came out from behind the wall. "Sorry, I thought you guys needed some time alone." she said as she scratched her cheek and averted her gaze. Olivia flushed a little while Eli smiled at Olivia teasingly, he leaned next to her ear and softly whispered. "I had to keep it PG when I noticed she came out." Olivia flushed a deeper red and smacked the chicken bone against his chest before she walked up to Blair.
Eli chased after them and escorted them around the building. "If you think you're being watched it's probably best to not use the main road. This way." he said as he walked them down a small path towards a side street. They spotted a T*yot* C*meri not too far away, Eli held the door open for the girls, once he saw they were in he jumped into the front passenger seat.
"Eat." he said to the girls as he passed back the paper bag that held the chicken. The girls obeyed and Eli moved his gaze to the driver. "You got here faster then I thought." Eli said in amused tone. "Ya don't get too used to it. I was close by, hand to pick up some information package for a photoshoot in a couple of days." he said nonchalantly. "Porter, I'm sorry we had to see each other again under such dire circumstances." Olivia said in between bites.
"Don't worry about me princess, I've been moving along great with my next target but I'm glad to see that your okay." Porter said with a sigh. Things were still slightly awkward between them but she was happy that they could talk again. "So what's the plan?" Porter asked as he got onto another side street. "The plan is to take Olivia home." Eli said sternly. Blair started to choke on her chicken when she heard him. "What, wait no! We can't! That insane b*tch will kill her if she stays there any longer!" Blair shouted.
"We don't have a choice! If I take her away that monster will track her done especially if Steel Enterprises is in her hands! I am not sending her to her doom Blair, I'm just sending her back to her prison, where they have to keep her alive!" Eli shouted back as he clutched the stack of papers in his hands. Blair sat back into her seat and kicked the seat in front of her. "I need Autumn, after we drop Olivia back I need you to drop me off at Autumn's house ASAP. I will c*ck block that b*tch so hard that she won't see it coming." she shouted into the air.
Porter started to laugh. "Count me in! Any chance I have to bring down that b*tch the better! I think I would rather have my future mother in law locked up behind bars." Olivia and Blair looked at each other then Porter. "Porter how would she be your future mother in law?" Blair asked cautiously. Porter beamed a smile and took a peek in his rear view mirror. "Loreley hasn't told you guys yet huh? I'm one of the two people chancing after her, I gotta say between me and Kira I think I have a better shot of being with her." he said in a cocky tone.
"Porter who is Kira?" Olivia asked as she leaned up closer to his seat. "Porter gave her a side glace and flashed an angelic smile. "Sorry princess but I don't kiss and tell.... ok maybe I do but I don't want to hurt my chance with Loreley especially if I'm up against her mentor Kira. Let's just say the three of us know each other really well and I hope that I can swing her more towards my direction."
Olivia sat back in her seat completely shocked. "So the one she may be in love with is..?!" was all Olivia could say before Porter slammed on the breaks and shifted the gear into park. Porter unbuckled his seat belt and turned to face her completely flushed. "In love?! She's in love?! With who? Did she say?! Male or female? Who did she chose?!" he started to shout before he started to see stars. "You moron! She's pregnant!!! You can't make a hard stop like that or you'll hurt the baby! Then we can see what Loreley will think of you!" Blair spat as she pulled her fist away from Porter's face.
Porter could see his world spining and started to lean towards Eli. In one quick movement Eli unbuckled his seat belt, opened the door, stepped out, pulled Porter's collar towards him and had Porter safely sitting and buckled him in before he made his way towards to driver's seat. He buckled himself in and turned to Blair. "Thank you Blair, I was ready to punch the moron myself." he said before her moved the shift to drive. "Is he okay?" Olivia asked as she pointed towards Porter's direction. "Who cares." Eli and Blair said together leaving Olivia dumbstruck.
....
"Cold!" Porter shouted as Olivia placed a frozen steak over his swollen eye. "Whatever Porter, if you weren't being so stupid you wouldn't have been punched." Blair said as she inspect her knuckles. "It's not my fault your such a..."
"Enough." Eli said coldly defusing the tension between Blair and Porter. Olivia moved to Blair and started to apply ointment on to her knuckles. Eli looked at them as he slammed the documents in his hands on to the counter. "Porter we can talk about your actions later, Blair you did an outstanding job but Marek will kill me because you hurt your hand." Porter groaned while Blair flinched at Marek's name.
"We have 20 minutes before we have to go to the funeral home. We are lucky we could pay off the gate guard with what we had, so I will make this short. Olivia is not crazy, there is a disturbing truth to the founders fairytale." he stated with so much certainty that Olivia dropped the ointment. "So what if the fairytale is really something else who cares." Porter moaned as he pressed down on the steak. "Are you sure." Blair said as she started to break out into a cold sweat.
Eli nodded. "The outfit Olivia described is one they used for sacrificial offerings."
