Eli kept his cool and protective stance in front of Olivia. He needed to clear up this misunderstanding, not for himself but for Olivia to ease her heart and not affect the little one inside her.
"You're delusion River, last I remembered you forced your lips on my neck and tried to rip off my clothes." he said frankly as he reached his hand behind him, hoping that Olivia would trust his words and grab hold his hand.
"Me! Delusional! Hardly... I know the feel of your abs, the warmth of your skin and they way your sweat rolls down your body." she said as she came to a halt 2 feet away from him, licking her lips as her eyes started to show a lustful glaze.
"Do you really think anyone will really believe your words? If you want to talk about that day then fine I will talk about it but I will not manipulate my words to cause peoples imaginations to wonder." he said indifferently as he felt Olivia's warm hand slip into his.
River raised her hands into the arm and gave a slow, dramatic spin "Well Eli I dare you to tell everyone what happened that day it's not like I will ever forget... I can guarantee my lower regions have never be the same since that day though." she said arrogantly as she raised her head.
"Just to make sure... you are talking about July 7th am I correct?" he asked as he raised an eyebrow. River smiled devilishly as she flashed her canine. "Yes! Yes! Yes my love that is the glorious day of our union!" she squealed as she brought her hands together in delight. "You are positive? There is no mistaking the day." Eli said as he showed her a smirk.
Again River misunderstood her expression and started to fan herself as her breathing started to become faster. "There is no mistaking it, I swear on my life I will always remember that day." she said in a low haughty voice.
The crowd around them started to whisper while Olivia's friends suddenly became confused about the conversation. Marek was the first to walk up and stand beside Eli, he placed one big hand on his shoulder and faced River. "That's impossible." he said loudly, calming down the crowd.
River's eyes became wide and wild, she tilted her head as she looked at Marek. "You know nothing! You don't know what we felt!" she said hysterically but Marek puffed out his chest. "No, I trust in my friend and I believe that you are the one lying! How is it something that you are insinuating could have happened on that day?"
Soon Olivia's group of friends moved beside Eli and formed a protective wall. "No, no, no! None of you know anything I remember it clearly! July 7th at 3:15 p.m we became connected, we are in love, WE are meant to BE together!!!!" she spat at the group as she clutched at her heart.
Autumn calmly walked up to River, she lifted her chocolate round eyes to meet her dark one's, she gave her an indifferent look and SLAP, moved so fast no one saw her actually slap the sh*t out of River until the girl's body was slightly turned from the force.
"You're disgusting..." was all she said before Rodan grabbed her wrist and pulled her into his embrace, trying his best to subdue her before she went into a rampage. "Autumn's right you are disgusting, if you are talking about what happened at the funeral you really are delusional." Laila said in a deadly tone that shocked everyone there.
Laila moved herself away from the group, walked right up to River and cupped her chin. She gently moved her face left then right inspecting the damage that Autumn had inflicted. "You still haven't changed a bit Laila, even after you became that slut's sister you are still my friend." River said with a smile. Laila let go of Rivers face and BAM, punched the other cheek and sent River flying towards the floor.
Everyone in the room was shocked and River gingerly touched her swollen lip. Laila extended her hand to River and she obediently grabbed it and was helped up. Only so that Laila could punch her in the face again. This time River spat blood as she flew backwards. Laila approached her again and stood above her defiantly.
"Why?" River said in a tiny voice as she wiped the blood from her mouth. The air around the two ladies dropped below freezing as Laila narrowed her eyes and brought up his fist to inspect it. "You know River... I like the color red. It's so vibrant and can easily conceal blood..." she said in a queen like manner as she started to wipe River's blood that splattered onto her knuckles onto her dress.
"See no one would ever suspect that I was the one who beat you senseless." she said innocently as she showed off the dress. River started to tremble as the crowd took a step back. Laila changed her expression to her usual happy face.
"So River lets start this again. Are you talking about how you assaulted Eli at my 'sister's' funeral because if you are..." she said with a bright smile and stepped on River's hand. River started to whimper as Laila applied pressure. Laila giggled in her face and lightly lifted up her foot.
"If you are, then you are f*cking delusion!" she yelled before stomping her foot onto River's hand. Olivia pushed Eli aside and ran up to Laila and hugged her from behind. "Laila! Laila... it's enough now. Please stop that's enough." Olivia said wearily as she tightened her embrace. Laila's twisted face relaxed and she took her foot off of River's hand.
Laila's eyes started to water and she turned to hug Olivia back "I'm sorry." she whispered to her sister and walked her back to the group. Some people rushed over to help River off the ground and escorted her out of the room to get treated.
Their friends started to apologize for the misunderstanding and Olivia just smiled. "I never stopped believing in you." she said as she grabbed Eli's hand. Eli looked into her eyes and sighed in relief. "She is partially right though she did kiss my neck and felt me up." he said regrettably.
Porter slapped Eli's back before he placed his arm over his shoulder. "We all had a good show that day. The way you were sweating try to pry her off you was .... just magical." Porter said with a wink and teasing smile. Blair turned to Olivia and explained.
Apparently as everyone was saying their final goodbyes to 'her' ashes River took the chance to stand beside Eli and start talking about their glorious future together. Eli ignored her and silently cried as he prayed. She then jumped him, wrapped her arms around his neck and missed his lips and started going at it on his neck. He couldn't pull her off and fell onto the ground, River started to rip his dress shirt apart and revealed his well sculpted body.
It took sometime for people to snap out of their shock and helped pull River off of Eli. Everyone was sweating as River had found some psychotic strength to fight people off. Then Eli snapped and turned over the alter and proclaimed that he refused to accept a reality where Olivia didn't exist.
"You should feel blessed that someone loves you that much." Blair said happily as she looked at the couple. Olivia smiled back "I do."
Some more time went by and the lights flickered in the room, indicating that it was time for them to line up alphabetically. It was going to take probably a good hour before they got to the final stairs but their nerves made the time fly by.
The double wooden doors opened and the ushers came in to escort them to the hall where they were to wait to be announced. Olivia's heart started to race as the were only one person away before Laila was to be announced, the sister gave each other a hug as the announced shouted the next name "Laila Steel." Laila flashed a smile to her sisters before she disappeared behind a curtain. The girls could hear a roar of applause from where they stood.
Olivia gave Loreley another hug and wished her good luck before the announcer called her "Loreley Steel." Loreley took a deep breath, turned to Olivia, blew her a kiss and disappeared behind the curtain. Another roar of applause and Olivia started to breath heavily. She counted the seconds and started to untie her cloak. As she finished the announcer shouted "Olivia Steel." she slid off the cloak and tossed it to the side. She took a couple of deep breathes and slowly moved the curtain to the side.
As she took her first steps out and stopped on the mark, she realized there was no roar of applause for her, just one giant gasp and silence.
