Yenma stood before a small cottage which was on a lush green hill. Yepong had guided Yenma to the cottage and was now inside the cottage chatting away with the Senior that Yenma was supposed to be introduced to.
Initially Yenma thought that Yepong was trying to have some hearty talk with the Senior so that Yenma's chances in being accepted as his disciple increases but after he went closer to the door and overheard their conversation, he almost puked out blood.
"Ahahaha...Little Brother that 'drawing' that you brought is gold..pure gold!"
"Senior jests.. although Sirgil village is in a somewhat isolated location, my grandfather had once been out to visit the far-off towns and happened to get his hands on it. Since Senior likes it, he can gladly have it.", Yepong replied.
"Little Brother you don't understand the real value of this drawing! It was drawn by the world renowned Grandmaster Xi Xupeng, Its truly a wonder how your grandfather managed to get his hands on such a treasure. I must say that the unclad beauty in the drawing makes even a person as old as myself feel my blood boil in excitement. Grandmaster Xi is truly the god of romance. Each of his artworks sets a new standard. Its a wonder how you would even wish to part away with it!"
Yepong just smiled but when he glanced at the rolled-up drawing in the Senior's hands, he couldn't help but feel a bit reluctant.
'Sigh. Let it be. Its only a drawing and people are already head over heels for it. If such a beauty was real then I wonder how much chaos it would cause.', Yepong just shook his head to divert his thoughts.
Yenma had a grim look on his face, 'This Senior doesn't seem to be the wise and saint-like man I had imagined him to be. Is it even a good idea to become his disciple?'
Yenma suddenly started having doubts.
.
.
It wasn't long before Yenma was asked to come inside the cottage and was soon introduced by Yepong.
Senior Luang nodded his head and said, "You should be around your late-teens but your body seems to have already reached its peak of muscle development. Frankly speaking this sounds next to impossible. I don't even sense any strand of Zu Qi from your body, which means you haven't even cultivated before….You are weird."
'The weird one is you old man! Shouldn't you atleast be dressed properly when you attend to your guests?! Who the fvk meets their guest in their pyjamas and what is that weird thing you are eating? Why does it look like turd?', Yenma frowned deeply as he re-examined this so-called Senior, Yenma was totally not impressed with this old fart. Yenma started to doubt whether this old man could even teach him about cultivation as he looked no different than a beggar who was picked up from the streets.
"Little kid why are you frowning? I only spoke the truth.", Luang didn't know what Yenma was thinking, he thought that Yenma didn't believe his words.
Although Yenma wasn't impressed with the old fart, he still replied to him. This was solely due to the fact that the old man was sincere and didn't have any bad intentions, "Its nothing. I trust Senior's words."
"Hmmm… Since Yepong has asked me to consider taking you in as my disciple, I will need to test you first."
"Before all that let me introduce myself first, I'm Seto Luang from Yukosaka Province. The region we are in currently is not under any province and is hence considered a remote region. Yukosaka Province is the closest province from this region. The reason why I came here 10 years ago was that I had decided to live the rest of my life in peace and tranquility."
"Anyways, You need to undertake three tests in order for me to take you in as my disciple.", Luang said with a hint of pride as he looked towards the skies in the horizon as if he could see through the mysteries of life and death itself. Even Yenma had to reluctantly inwardly agree that the old man did feel very sage-like at that moment but the next moment Yenma felt ashamed for even thinking that the old man could ever be impressive.
"Ahem* you will only be a disciple in name if you manage to pass all three of my tests.", Luang said without even a hint of embarrassment.
'What the actual fvk?', Yenma resisted his urge to beat up the old man.
Yepong who was seated nearby showed no difference in his expression as if he knew everything beforehand.
Looking at the grim expression of Yenma, Luang coughed lightly, "Don't feel depressed… work hard.. perhaps I might consider making you my inheriting-disciple if you have the perseverance and the willpower!"
Yenma felt his mood become heavier but he didn't say anything.
Luang continued on, "First test: I need to check your meridians. If you have crippled meridians or some meridian-related problem… then you are no-good and you will be eliminated in the first test itself."
Yenma simply nodded and let Luang check his meridians, it was simple really. Luang just passed his Zu Qi through Yenma's body to check the condition of his meridians.
As Luang passed his Zu Qi through Yenma's body, he couldn't help but tremble and his eyes constricted as if in immense shock, "T-this...this..."
Hearing Luang's shocked voice, Yenma couldn't help but feel a bit excited.
'Could it be I'm some once-in-a-world type of talented genius?', Yenma couldn't help but imagine himself standing at the peak of the path of cultivation.
Luang soon calmed down as he continued, "your meridians…. In my life I have never seen… I never thought…. That one's meridians could ever be so fvked up to this extent."
