"Reen!" Before the couple could go towards her aid, Uoron had beaten them down to it. He in a surge of adrenaline rush killed the man he was fighting with and rushed towards Reen killing the poor man assaulting her in one hit while Reen staggered a bit then kneeled now with both knees on the floor as her head throbbed in pain.
The man who almost killed Reen could not help but curse his faith. He only needed to take that one last strike and he would have killed her. He cursed his weak self until he could not curse anymore.
After a few seconds of trying to regain her equilibrium and to stop herself from coughing, her eyes shifted and her decision was set.
"There is no next time, I have to kill her. No one else can do this but me." She softly said.
She wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth then wiped the blood on her palm on the floor and finally she stood up. She did it subtly as not to alarm the people concerned for her well fare as from their angle they could only see her coughing severely and nothing more.
However, Uoron who was already near her saw her actions and the amount of blood she had puked. His eyes could not help but narrow in suppress anger. She helped her stood up despite his suppressed emotions.
This was Reen's chosen path, she valued her revenge than the love she felt for Uoron or for any of her family member, comrades and friends because only through ending Lilith's life with her own two stained and sin filled hands would she truly be able to move on with her life.
"I can think of salvation or if I would rot in hell along with her once everything is done." Reen told herself.
This was the first time that she would kill in cold blood with a clear mind. The previous times she killed someone was because of blind rage.
Even if she trained and aided during their missions by the organization she either aided or only looked while she assisted and defended her group. She knew that giving mercy to such vile people will only be damaging for her but she still did so this then led to her teammates doing the killings instead.
Despite this detail, she knew that this did not absolve the burden of murder onto herself despite her not killing the people herself even if the people in question that they have killed were criminals. The fact was still a life being extinguish which makes her a sinner still.
This exposure to such scenes actually fortified her mentally but seeing and doing the act where still two different things.
Her eyes turned cold and a shade darker just like the first time Uoron laid his eyes on them. Uneasiness clenched his heart as yet again two of Lilith's men charged towards them. He effectively intercepted them and was on a dead lock fight with these two.
After composing herself and coming to a decision, she along with 3 of her subordinates as per Wisteria's order left the room to give chase towards Lilith and her men.
